My coworker makes those kind of scenes in her doll houses and just like that one and enters them in competitions! The amount of time and money that goes into making them, $21 is a steal!
Yes I did see Rachael with the dolphins, I forgot to comment or maybe I did I can't remember. Anyway she was amazing, I was so proud of her that's not the easiest thing to do, I know I would be petrified, she was so comfortable, in her comfort zone. I use single shaker for spices and herbs they look nicer on my baking shelves than the containers they come in.

Yes that was a chess set with the rails you would lay the board in middle, so much work went into that. I my self painted one mid 1990's

I think it’s really sad to see something special commemorating 50 years at a thrift store. But then again maybe someone bought it in advance of the occasion and they divorced at 49 yrs. Well I thought it was funny.

@@TheNICHELady I prefer to think someone bought that platter (50th anniversary) and Bob and Shirley ( names for ease of story telling ), on the eve of their 50 th anniversary , decided they weren’t right for each other . Bob and Shirley decided to split and they lived their best life separately. So the platter went to good will . I like this version better , no one passed away. Call me an optimist. Although I still think it’s sad that it ended up at good will.

I used to do miniature dioramas(mine were mostly Victorian and French drawing rooms)....you got them at a great price,considering some high end miniature individual pieces are very pricey.I kept the first one I ever made,all the pieces are just exquisite,never pass up miniatures!

Wow...my mom and dad did a couple miniatures when they went to Arizona every winter for 20 years...these are fabulous...i can not imagine someone not taking them in the family but at many points in our lives we must sort and let go..these holiday scenes are FABULOUS!! I love the Joseph Cornellish wall art piece and the price was amazing! Assemblage is such an intriguing art form and those miniatures were so well done on the little room dioramas too. I remember making a scissor holder like that one you found today in a tole painting glass back in the 90's!!

I have my Grandmother’s pink sunbeam mixer. It still works💕
I'll give you a tip on how I figure out the price of something. I came up with it years ago when I was trying to figure out the price of something in Michael's. I realized one day that instead of calculating 40% off and then subtracting it from the total, all I have to do is take the price X 6 for the 60% it will cost me. So if it's a $20 item, 2 times 6 is 12 so it'll cost me $12. If it's a $9 item, it will cost me about $5.60 plus tax. That's so much easier than trying to subtract the 40% amount from the total. You said the store had 30% off, probably on certain color tags so just take the price like $30, multiply it times 7 and it will cost you $21. Skip the decimal points and zeros. I hope this helps you in the future. I've been enjoying your videos.

the big glass eye is from turkey, if any one is thinking bad things at you, and it cracks, their bad stuff is gone, its like an evil eye. I have them all over my house from when i had an exchange student from Turkey. they are often hung on macramé
A colleague from work went to turkey and brought me back a bracelet

The blue glass painted vase/bottle is an incompleet waterpipe. I have sold one in the past as a ‘vase’ and later found out what it realy was. 😁
