A University of Wisconsin-Stout student pulled over for speeding last month near campus was rushing to give a presentation and didn’t know how to tie his necktie. According to the Menomonie Police Department, Officer Martin Folczyk spotted the student’s BMW speeding down 8th Street at 8:55 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 30 and initiated the stop. “I have to get a tie tied,” the driver said. “I have a presentation and I thought my buddy was home but he’s not, and I’m running behind.”
Before asking for his license and insurance, the officer asked the student for his tie, then loosely tied it around his own neck before handing it back. “While I do this, why don’t you grab your proof of insurance and your driver’s license real quick,” Officer Folczyk said. “Probably not the best knot, but it will work.” “Better than what I was going to do,” the student said. “Thank you so much.” The student was given a verbal warning. After seeing the video of the traffic stop, the police chief invited the driver back to the police station and taught him to properly tie his own tie.

@@allaroundz honestly man I normally don't try to sling insults at people but and I say this again I did not try to insult people a lot but you honestly are one of the most stupid people I have ever seen. The fact that you just believe everything that the media says is honestly just repulsive. If you just make your own opinion in base that opinion off of reputable sources then you'd realize that the media just tries to get people to read their article or watch their video about police brutality. It is not brutality whenever a police or public defender shoots a civilian or criminal it is based with the reasonable intent to harm the officer or the public or they bring this to firearm and refuse to follow commands

He must be a father. This is why men need a father or father figure. This was heart warming. Help this young men with his tie.
😂😂😂😂😂 as if having a father is something ridiculous... Now whilst my parents and i live thousands of kms away from each other it doesn’t take a father to do this for a student it just takes initiative and simple education. Ur statement is so extreme 😂
stunnymega having a father is important for young men and women. And there wasn’t really anything extreme in what she wrote tho....
Marc Simon it’s extreme because she’s said you need a father figure to tie a tie.
Phobic Payload ummmm can you read? She didn’t say that at all hun
Phobic Payload never said that. What is “this” referring to. My initial reaction was it referencing fatherly guidance through things that fathers themselves have experienced.

This was really a heartwarming video to watch. To see a police officer stop a student who was late to a presentation but didn't know how to put on his tie yet the police officer ended up fixing his tie for him. These are the type of police officers that go above and beyond. I know if this was my son and this officer helped my son even though he was speeding I would definitely want to meet him and thank him personally
The officer handled this situation excellently! It made my heart melt when he helped tie his tie, I wish more cops would be like him.
why does everyone have to turn this into "If the guy was black....." Can't we just appreciate a kind act by a a police officer in a society where they get so much hate? Spread positivity, not hate.
Smile More.
Because some people cant accept something outside the narrative.
Jonathan Varghese did you say smile more because of Roman ?
Jonathan Varghese You are right. This is a funny and refreshing video to show police officers do have compassion and care about the people they serve. Not everything is black vs. white issue. I am black and wish people would stop playing the race card every time the police is involved
Because the BLM are brain dead and think being black is an insult to cops
Jonathan Varghese Whites for some reason don't get it. Nobody targets YOU simply because of skin colour. Blacks have issues, but whites ignore them and instead use them to denigrate us. THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE SUCKS, NOT JUST ONE RACE. With that being said, if that were me, that cop would have choked me to death with my own tie. Or claimed i was using it to assault him and he had no choice but to shoot me.
Good job officer. Recognized it wasn't a dangerous situation and helped a kid in need. Respect.
Hi how are you

"I'm late for my presentation and I don't know how to tie a tie!" Is like the sweetest 😂 poor guy
As a very young, newly married woman, my husband and I were due at a wedding and realized neither of us knew how to tie a tie. We went up the street to our local laundry and the owner helped us out. For the next 17 years, that tie stayed tied in our closet, ready for the rare occasion of use. I'll bet it's STILL tied and in my ex-husband's closet now, 30 years later!

Xelanderthomas Fact of the Day. More white men are killed by police than black men. 👌
Funny how people will say something is a fact but never present the fact. At any rate it's irrelevant to what I said. I said (had he been black) "he would have been shot when he go got out of the car like that." (just jumping out before the cop told him to) 99% chance he most certainly would have been shot. We've seen black men shot for far less movement than what this guy does. How can you deny that? Just look up the videos. There may well be more white men shot by police than black men as there are a lot more white men in the country than black men. That doesn't change what I said. Happy New Year ;-)

Merry Apple I’ve never seen such a nice cop before in my life
Both rare spieces these days
Merry Apple it only becomes a problem when the people who are pulled over show disobedience or agreession doesn’t matter what they do they are inferior to the law and should understand why they were pulled over etc this is just one of those good moments in which the guy talked to the officer respectfully and he helped him get his tie tied

Glad to see some light hearted contents once a while. Cool cop! I still remember My first inexperience with ties getting resolved by the company CEO sitting in the backseat of a car while I was in the passenger seat. I was so flustered and yet grateful for the gesture.
Before the black people say it, YES he would've did the same if the guy pulled over was black. And also I'm black, so I'm not racist, just speak the truth
Caleb Whitted Thank you
Caleb Whitted obviously not in independence MO so he might of but it would of been a noose
Caleb Whitted why should this even need to be said, it ruins the moment honestly, just accepted the officer was genuine, no need to even bring up race. im black too and if we keep describing people by their skin color we will only go backwards in progress
civil because it needs to in today's society
I agree with your statement generally (obviously can't speak for EVERY cop, there are bad apples) but saying " I'm black, so I'm not being racist " is not an argument against being racist. Again, not saying you are, just saying that being black doesn't mean you can't be racist towards black people.
So many officers do nice things for people but are never acknowledged. My daughter is a police officer, they heard about a young kid who was alone on his birthday, his grandma was taken to the hospital, both parents were out of his life. Officers found out, took him a cake and pulled together to buy a present. He was overwhelmed by their gift. Hopefully one day, he will join the ranks.

@Steven Friedlander Lol you’re just jealous that you can’t walk down the street without getting stopped and frisked 😉😂
@@tyhandsom8963 It was just a stupid attempt at pulling racist crap. With basketball americans, it's never their demeanor (Sandra Bland) or their attempts to drive off with a cop hanging on to their vehicle (Sam Dubose, Oshae Terry) or robbing a store and then assaulting a cop (Mike Brown) or stealing a cop's taser and shooting it at them (Rayshard Brooks) that causes them to end up having negative interactions with police. @flemaster12 I don't think you know what the news is supposed to be for. The news and their journalist are supposed to challenge the powerful and shed lights of issues in our communities so things change for the better, not show video of people doing their jobs correctly. News are not shows to teach people how to do their jobs. The news was average until the late 90's since they actually had journalist doing real report and investigation about serious issues and it took time because you had to get evidence and they used to tell you this is bad and this good. Then after they went to 24hrs news they lost all credibility since they just fired real journalist that did investigation for high pay news anchors who don't do any investigation and don't challenge power and just have people talking and arguing without calling lies out.

for my very first interview I went for a haircut and the barber looked me over and insisted on polishing my shoes. Shiney shoes stand out he said, he also said " you only get one chance to make a first impression, make sure its the right one"
I got the job
You're the new barber
Everyone gets hired at McDonald's
@@hahaok2713 And nothing wrong with it either! Worked there for 3 years throughout high school. Gave me a great sense of work ethic and maturity.
HedgehogChopper keep going to the barber
@@GhostRider-hy9zt sadly that was 34 years ago and he's no longer of this earth
Kind act from the officer. I don’t think that happens often anymore. Wholesome student. Hope he did well in his presentation.
Amazing when you're honest and show compliance, you don't get shot or cuffed
I once was broken down on the side of the road late at night and an officer pulled up behind me. When he learned that I was actually on a date, he went to my dates side of the car and started arguing my case to her, that she shouldn't let this vehicle breakdown keep her from going out with me again and to give me another chance. It didn't help with getting a third date from the girl (it was our second date) but I really appreciated the effort on my behalf which he didn't have to do.
Aww that was one awesome cop lol
@@elizann2023 I’ve been very fortunate to have had very few bad experiences with cops and most of the ones I’ve run into have been pretty chill guys.
Aww sorry. I would have gone on a third date with you if you handled the situation without getting angry. 🌹
@@lacountessright before my car broke down, I had actually asked the girl about a third date and she initially seemed to be inclined towards it. However, any chance of salvaging the situation was kinda lost when my mom showed up to help out (I wasn't living at home but she worked close to where I broke down). My date rode with my mom while she towed me, (I was in my car steering). I learned later that while they were driving, my mom did what all moms do: gush to this girl just how pretty she was and proceeded to call all my aunts and uncles and grandparents on my mom's side of the family and tell them what a fine girl I had started dating. In effect, the break down wasn't what killed it, it was my mom going overboard with the girl. lol
@@ignitetheinferno1858 oh no! Yeah, that'd do it. Even I wouldn't come back after that. I'd be too embarrassed to meet the guy or his mom again. But at least you know it wasn't anything you did.
That student was tied up in his situations.
