I left 12 yrs ago, it was a bit depressed but ok, we had few drug users n local drinkers n affordable. I was there 16 yrs n then started changing new peps started coming n prices start rising n taxes too. We got pushed out, good luck but I'm happy to move to a village. Had my time in fishtown. Yep lots pride was there. Frankford Ave was known be4 as kings highway n people still have stories to tell. When I was 10 I went on that ship be4 penn treaty park was called that name n remember the sugar factory. Well good luck n be safe.

Haven't been back in years, moved in the early 90s but from what I remember Fishtown used to be what Kensington is like today, rough dumpy neighborhood with drugs... This video and a tour on google maps, it's done a complete 360 for the better! Great job Philly! very proud to see it trending upward might be compelled to visit a few of the places in this video :)

You wouldn't recognize it today. Still has a lot of the feeling of the original Fishtown feeling but so many shops, stores, restaurants, and nightlife. You should come back and visit!

I like the lack of diversity ... seriously. I’ve found that my favorite places are more homogenous: Vermont, Idaho, Montana, Poland, Iceland, Finland, Croatia, etc.
