It seems like it someone learns this they will get a good base of card skills to build on. Double lifts, pinky breaks, a whole bunch of false cuts, etc. Nice stuff. Makes practicing more fun since it is all packed into one routine.

Fantastic tutorial! Beautifully performed and clearly explained. Thank you! What kind of cards are those? They seem to be of excellent quality, nice and firm and thick stock, not thin and mushy like the Bicycle standard playing cards are these days.
It's the Virtuoso Spring/Summer '14 playing cards. They're "the only deck designed for the art of cardistry", as the Virts claim, and the cards perform like they are the best. They actually are thin stock, but they're very durable. I bought some last year and they're still holding up. They just released their new version of the deck, Spring/Summer '15, which sold out within 10 hours of their release. They're on backorder right now, so you can still buy them, they'll just be delivered at a later time, around late May. They're sold at thevirts(dot)com for 9.95.
