So sad, the last Turing phone looked so nice and sounded brilliant, yet never was released, or if it was nobody heard of it. 2 years ago I was tempted in actually getting it . But never saw it on the companies website that they were selling it..
Hopefully the company will get its act together because they have interesting ideas for sure

The main reason most were interested in the original Turing Phone was not its looks, or design, but the push to be a secure device. Privacy and security are what I want!! There's a high possibility that the Turing Phone was sabotaged by those who want open networks... Do you understand the benefits of an open, insecure network??

Integrating Sir Alan with Google Assistant is a very smart idea. My only complain is that at a price point of 999$ i would i want the lastest processor i.e 835 and not 821

This is quite innovative. The biggest challenge in my mind is their ability to handle the volume of Sir Alan calls once the phone is released. For this service to work, the calls will need to be answered immediately. Any amount of on-hold time will be unacceptable since people are now used to immediate info via Google Assistant, Siri, etc.

This is definately an interesting phone, but I can't see a lot of people buying it. Then again, Vertu did just go out of buisness so that luxury phone market needs someone to fill their niche....could be this?

I'm sure I would rarelyyyy use that sir allen assistant but that is pretty dang cool. Much slower for just simple tasks like asking for the score of a football game but having it make reservations and stuff. That's cool. Definitely a phone for the wealthy that get dinner reservations to nice places and travel all the time. They are probably the guy/girl that carries two phones and might honestly only use this phone for sir allen. Pretty cool but not nearly enough to convert any considerable amount of people.

Is the color temperature of the display that cool in person? It doesn't look very bright or vivid as other AMOLED displays.
I've heard of this handset... In the art & music circuit, it's called "The Promoter's or Art Critic's Phone" because of the artsy-geared "Sir Al" services... If you're deeply entrenched in the Arts, this is THE handset to have...Whereas the TAG Meridiist and the Vertu are more for status, the Turing is definitely for work and productivity related commerce in the aforementioned fields...
When is the full review coming out mate ? Am curious how this holds up to current flagships

This phone looks absolutely amazing, sadly judging from the shine on the back I don't think it would be possible to custom print designs on the back which would be epic. Definitely going to put some savings to this or Turing's newest phone if this line survives.
Does the company allow custom orders of the back design because I feel not everyone is gonna dig that exact design.

So it's basically going back a 118 118 style thing where before smartphones were around when you called someone to Google the answer for you? Seems like a step backwards to me. He could easily have Googled the stuff about the hotel himself. Instead he called someone to do it. Not for me.
Seems like they've listened to many of the complaints from potential buyers. Well, apart from having dropped the only, single feature that everyone felt in love with, that's the very durable body. Now glass defines the fragility of our programmes obsolescent digital lives.
I think there needs to be more companies that makes phones with huge amounts of storage space and ram in order to make these bigger companies try to keep up and put them to shame in those areas.
IceWolve That's true, but not at this price point. There are phones that have good amount s of ram and rom, that only cost in the 4 to 6 hundred dollars price range and lower. But they exchange other features, such as chipsets newness or elsewhere.

a very interesting phone indeed. I would imagine this is a perfect phone for a Kingsman agent, just like how Sony Xperia is a James Bond's phone.

So, it sounds like sir Alan,, is an actual person, that answers questions, vs a digital voice system like Alexa or Bixby? How would that work with typed in questions or requests? Guessing the same? Only with an Asian accent. Depending on your language. Seems an interesting phone and system but another high priced experience. Outta my ballpark.

That's a high price point considering that the new Galaxy Note 8 is releasing soon, The New IPhone as well and The Essential. It's a beautiful phone but it's not yet proven as a brand neither is The Essential for that as well...

I don't know about talking to a real person. It's certainly more personal but I think it may turn people off who are concerned with privacy and security.
