I bought a wildflower seed mix and these are one of the flowers that grew so I was kinda suprised when you said they had low germination

Really? I've had good luck with germinating them. I think this is different for different zones I live in 7a. Now the one I am having problems with is freaking lavender I cannot get them to germinate. Have them in my fridge I'm praying it works. But I am glad my forget me not are germinating well for me.

I planted this last year to increase blue flower color in my garden. The flower that came up I think was the scorpion grass you mentioned in the video. Good that I did not remove all of them. Because this year this flower is stunning of a blue bush in my garden. I’m amazed with this so beautiful blue flower. I want a whole garden bed of it!

I planted forgetmenots from the dollar store in March. How did you keep your forgetmenots so short? Mine are 2 feet tall😱 lol. Other than that, they flowered just like yours. And yes, they have been outside in full sun since I planted them.

My FMNs have about 8-10 leaves per plant thus far. Planted in February, zone 7B. Idc if they bloom, they’re fun to pet cause they’re fuzzy. Mine love the morning sun and don’t like afternoon sun. If ur plant tries to show under her leaf, like a taco, she hot, ya know.

I bought these at the dollar store... did nothing to them... threw them in a pot, back sometime in early March, I believe... possibly late feb, but I’m pretty sure it was March... they were in a pot with tulips... the tulips got burned in the full sun, but the forget me nots were popping all over the pot... I watered them every day, skipping on a couple days... I pulled out the tulips and thinned then to three seedlings... they are still looking great, looks like vigorous growth... it is the end of April now... I live in zone 9b, low desert, Phoenix,AZ... they are in full sun in a large pot, about 14” tall and 12” wide ... the true test will be how they do by June... if they look stressed, I will move them into an afternoon shade area... I’m super stoked... I also planted some in some circles I lightly amended around my trees, along with other seeds... the rabbits didn’t let anything grow ... I think a few of them germinated there, but along with the pesky wabbits, I didn’t do a very good job of amending the soil which is pretty hard and rocky... so that should be considered. I hope I can get them to bloom!

I planted forget me nots from seeds and the plant is enormous! The leaves are massive...I'm wondering what species it is and if I actually need a much bigger pot...? Looks like it's just about to bloom but I'm not sure they have enough space. Any advice is welcome!

We had them volunteer under a huge old Oak Tree when I was a child. I was always picking them. As an adult, at the first house we bought in the Redwoods of No. Calif., I found some for sale at a local nursery and couldn't resist. I planted the over the grave of my Cocker Spaniel where they grew and multiplied. They are all over the neighborhood, including over the graves of my Labradors, our kitties and 3 rabbits our daughter had when in high school.

So these flowers can be planted in the spring AND fall? I had hoped to get some blue flowers by July..

  • @TheArtisanTarotTBMoon

So I grew mine from seeds in the middle of June in a pot with potted mix. By August that summer they were an inch tall and I lived on the fourth floor of my apartment building which had a balcony in direct sun. So what I did was. I watered them once a day till the water came out of the drain. Rest of the time I let them get as much sun as possible. Until the heat of late about half way through July - august. I would let them get as much light as possible from morning till 12:00pm or 3:00pm. Then I would water them with cool water and put them under the shaded part of the balcony. Then in the evening I would move them back under the moon light. So when the sun came up they would get the morning sun. Unfortunately I had to move and when I did the pot tipped over and uprooted my plant 😧😭. I did try growing them where I am now but it was too rainy this summer and they got water rot.
