Lionel Messi signing for PSG. We never thought it would happen. Barcelona wished, promised, and fought for it not to happen. Messi was supposed to spend his entire career at Camp Nou, wasn’t he?
So how did it happen? Adam Crafton has the inside story of every step along the way, starting with a phone call with Pochettino, and beginning Messi’s new Parisian tale.

Oil is still the most crucial substance today, those who owns oil monopoly have the money and possibly the power as well, that is why clubs that are owned by Oil executives or oil company owners have stable income and have no to little fear of losses or liability, whereas rich clubs that aren't owned by oil executives would expect losses or debts even they have signed and pay star players for large sums of money, also mediocre or losing season will result in hurting or crippling the club financial. Look at Real, the club is not owned by oil guys, so they have to let go some of their star and young players so they could sign Mbappe for large sum of money. From 2009 to 2018 they spent a lot of money in buying and paying players and salary respectively but the result they won 8 major titles in that time span and then they have to let some of these players go to recover the money they spent for them or other players.

Why is Tifo doing a promotion video for Qatar? Have they never heard of the kafala system? Tifo is getting worse by the video.
By the way, the Athletic wrote that Messi get 35 M€ net pr. year, but now it is 25 M€ net pr. year in Tifo. Can't you guys talk to each other?
No PSG didn't stay out the Super League, because they are the good guys. They stayed out because they are hosting the World Cup next year. Why would they wan't to anger UEFA and FIFA, when there is already pressure to move the WC away from Qatar... Further more Khelaffi is one of the most powerful people in UEFA and BeIn Sports is a major rights holder regarding EUFA tournaments.
In general PSG will never hold an initial interest in a Super League, as it levels the playing field, and infringes on their position as the wealthiest club in the world, and even more importantly, gives the "traditional clubs" a way of installing their own and more strict FFP rules.
As far as I know, neither Milan, Real Madrid, Liverpool or Barcelona got anything from PSG signing their former players on a free transfer, so no, they did not bail anyone out, they just increased the wage levels of European football once again. Why are you celebrating that?

Do Liverpool need 'bailing out'? Barca and Inter selling left, right and centre, but are Liverpool in debt to any significant degree in comparison? Because of the lack of money due to Covid, Liverpool saw an opportunity to gain that back, and more, and also not wanting to be 'left out', signed up to the farce. Spurs, Man Utd and Arsenal owe a lot more compared to Liverpool, yet Liverpool are mentioned ahead of them. Mmm Though debt is not welcome, I would say Liverpool are one of the better run clubs amongst Europe's top teams.
As for PSG passing on the farce league, it is easy to do when you are backed by an Oil rich country. You then also become a bigger fish if those teams involved leave the current set up, especially if that league is not sanctioned in any way by UEFA/FIFA.

There's a theory, or at least some logic, implying the arm wrestling of influences behind PSG not following suit to the super league. Since conceded the world Cup, Qatar has some non explicit bond with FIFA and whichever interests they see better, like their competitions not losing weight to the club game, or maintaining the status quo of conferences' power over international cups.

The latest in a long line of average midfielders who are lauded for 'dirty work' by casuals who want to pretend they know more about the game than make big goal make win. He contributed very little to our success as did Can before him and his loss has only gone to show just how replaceable these busywork midfielders are in the modern game.
