Tim not being a hater but the lg v20 is kinda butt ugly remind me of those older Nokia phone . now I know it's all metal but . lg does metal sooo bad

That's why I love lg more than any other OEM...
Yep and sales are in freefall. They have kept removable battery when 99% of consumers dont care anymore and of course the G5 is now selling at a lower price than the OP3 as sales are stagnant. Of course Apple led the way as they have to, as no OEM wants to take that first step. Of course they were proved right. They have got rid of the phone jack and its only a matter of how long before other OEMs will move to this better tech (Bluetooth or USB-C headphones). Of course the ones that listen to a few whiners that insist removable batteries are so important will suffer the consequences, I notice that Blackberry and Nokia kept them and they are both as good as closed down. Now i am not saying that its bad, as i think there is a place for some power users phones to have removable batteries, like the V20 and N7 (should have) but for the mass market it is dead.
Think these may be a very underrated device

Thank you for this video. It is well done and informative. It looks like the little battery is the main issue with this otherwise very nice phone. I was wondering how the outside housing is holding up with normal use (scratches? smudges?). How's the screen for smudges with no screen protector?

lg is my favorite company for smartphone camera's. I had 4 already. I now have the lg g5 and the LG V10 love them. I am looking forward to the LG V20. thanks for sharing your experience with us.
This device seems like the only option that stays true to what every android user loves, specially all that audio thing seems amazing.

Quick point. Phone does NOT have an optical zoom. What you are experiencing is the change from 8MP wide angle camera to 16MP 75 degrees main camera. That is the tick in the zoom. G5 has the same interface.
the button in the top center of the camera interface is not a quick zoom to max optical zoom but to switch the cameras from the first sensor which is a wide angle cam to the second one which is hi res one.
Calling that "2x optical zoom" is very misleading. The tick mark that you were talking about is the tick mark for the primary camera, which is a completely normal field of view/zoom for a phone. Anything less than that tick is using the wide angle camera, which is the actual feature that makes this camera setup fantastic.
Shot to shot speed on the camera was incredible. I hope it holds up once the phone has some mileage. Good review vid, thx.

Good thing they give out an H3. Here in Korea, they give a bundle collaborated with B&O, yes, it is not a bad earphone, but not good as the H3. Instead what LG did, they sell the V20 about a few hundred dollars cheaper in Korea.

5:28 Settings > Fingerprints & security > Fingerprints. That lets you add multiple fingerprints.
7:20 Tick mark in the Zoom - that's the point where the camera's switch. The "zoom" makes use of the wide angle camera then switches to the standard the closer you get it. There's a delay when you switch, which I didn't realize would be annoying until I saw Apple (of course) has their 7 Plus set up to do the same thing with no delay. Maybe this will encourage LG to update the camera app! (not gonna hold my breath).

The tick mark is where it switches from the normal camera to the wide angle camera.
I have had very good service from my LG G3 which I am still using. My only reservation is LG's software upgrade record. I (and from what I have read - users around the world) have never gotten an upgrade to Marshmallow, which is now two generations back.
This is the best phone I've seen, on the market
try the fingerprint reader with a case on v10 had an issue with Case's

This phone is the best of both now and the past! I really hope it's successor keeps the ir blaster and removable battery.. And sells it in the UK! Great review :)
If you go into the settings in Home Screen, there's an option to include an app drawer.
Would you mind giving a thorough walkthrough of the software so we can see what's new or different compared to older LG phones and maybe also compare and contrast what's changed from stock Android?

The new camera for LG V20 is for Zoom-out (wide angle lens) and not for Zoom-in(like Iphone 7). It is similar to LG G5 camera.

Kinda made a mistake there, the 16mpx camera doesn't have 2x optical zoom. The button on top you pressed is to switch from wide angle to regular camera.
Two of my cousins have this (mother and son) they said in April it was great on Batttery life

Are there really no LG Headphones/Headset in the smartphone-package ? that sucks, I know they are cheap and most people dont use em but even if they are cheap its good to have them.

It's a very good phone for value that doesn't mean it is cheap at all . I think you should review Sony Xperia XZ too . I have a penchant for the latter brand

Very much like the replaceable battery. Size wise looks similar to my Note 2. Shame it doesn't have the V10 rubber back.

I'm disappointed that LG went away from having the volume keys on the back. That was one thing I liked. I still don't get why they got rid of the app draw. That makes no sense.

The cameras are 16MP and 8MP. Not quite two 16MP units, but still good.
Idk where the V lineup from LG came from but it's a lot better than their G lineup
