  • This clip gives you biblical proof that Christians are allowed to protect themselves when enemies attack, including killing in self defense. Only hippie lovey dovey Christians say we are not allowed to. Okay, let the satanic religions of the world wipe us out.

      Nah man, modern Christians are incredibly weak. Our children are being sexualized, our homelands are being invaded, and our culture is starting to mock/hate Jesus. The last Christian strongholds are dwindling.
      What have Christians done to rectify this? Nothing. Most Christians won't even protest. What is happening isn't "forgiveness", it's pure cowardice.

  • @povilzem
    @povilzem Před 3 měsíci +444

    I tend to read "turn the other cheek" as "don't respond to evil with evil".
    It's right to protect your life and belongings, but it's not right to steal and murder because you've been wronged before. Nor is it right to seek revenge when justice would suffice.
    Also, I would posit that even renouncing the Lord in a moment of spiritual weakness can be forgiven, because that's exactly what St. Peter does three times over - though it needs to be stressed that he lived to rectify that horrible misstep and ended up dying a martyr in the end.

      “Turn the other cheek” is not what that means. I suggest you read the context. Jesus is saying when a man strikes you once, turn and expect him to hit you again. Overall it may be pointing to “don’t respond to evil with evil” but the singular point is that you shouldn’t expect it to stop.

      Peace be with you. Blessed be the lord!,I have very recently read and heard all if not most of Nehemiah. Let us remember that those in Jesus Christ have a higher calling having been illuminated by Jesus Christ, like when he says a variety of things like "But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." Even though certain prophets that came before us and before Jesus Christ came in the flesh did certain things like King Solomon when it says "For when Shlomo became old, his wives turned his heart away toward other gods; so that he was not wholehearted with Adonai his God, as David his father had been." And even when reading Nehemiah it says "Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin."
      Luke 9:51-56
      King James Version
      51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
      52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
      53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
      54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
      55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
      56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
      Matthew 5:38-42
      English Standard Version
      Retaliation
      38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic,[a] let him have your cloak as well. 41 And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.
      2 Corinthians 5:17
      King James Version
      17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
      Isaiah 55:8-9
      Complete Jewish Bible
      8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
      and your ways are not my ways,” says Adonai.
      9 “As high as the sky is above the earth

How could God say, thou shalt not kill and turn around and send the Israelites into battle and then tell the army to kill everyone, man, women and child. God never goes against His word. Murder is a heart issue. All of those --ites had mixed demonic blood. Seeds of the fallen ones, as in giants. Killing off bad seed insures Godly lineages of Adam and Eve. • @engmed4400
      @engmed4400 Před měsícem

      @@StrongFreeLovin There is a class of text in the Old Covenant known as Messianic Prophecies. These prophecies predicted every aspect of Jesus' life, from conception to ascension. According to those prophecies, He was supposed to die for our sake. That was His primary mission on earth. Example: Isaiah 53:3-6,
      "He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
      As that was His mission, He couldn't deviate from it, which meant acting in self-defense was out of the question. This doesn't negate the idea that we can act in defense of self and others.

      The cheek means forgiving - giving another chance if the person hurt you. It is not about allowing someone to hurt you continuously

    • @engmed4400
      @engmed4400 Před 17 dny

      @@SickFairy while we are commanded to forgive without condition, the command to turn the other cheek is a command against seeking vengeance. In first century Judea, one man slapping another man across the face was the height of insult. To turn the other cheek would then be the act of refraining from responding in kind, i.e., to seek vengeance.
      Note too, the other examples presented in Matthew 5, to whit, if sued for one's tunic, give them your cloak as well, and if compelled to carry someone's burden one mile, do so for two miles. According to Mosaic Law, one's cloak isn't to be taken from them. As such, giving up one's cloak was only to be done for the duration of that day. People often used their cloaks as blankets.
      When it comes to going the extra mile, according to Roman law in the first century, any citizen of Judea could be pressed into service to carry the gear of Roman Soldiers, and the legal limit on distance was one mile.
      Roman Soldiers weren't solely looked down upon as non-Jews, they were the tools of the oppressors. They were how the Empire maintained law and order in the provinces, and they were hated for it. It would have been insulting to be forced to stop what you're doing, and lighten the burden of a Roman Soldier. Again, the command is, don't seek vengeance.
      On the topic of forgiveness, note that there is a difference between forgiving and condoning. It's entirely possible to forgive someone for a wrong they've done you, while still condemning their actions. Furthermore, there is an element of practicality when it comes to reconciliation.
      While we're expected to reconcile whenever possible, we must recognize that there are times when reconciliation is impossible. If the one committing the wrong has passed away, remains intransigent, and/or presents an ongoing physical or mental danger to you, then reconciliation would be impossible as a practicality. In such a situation, grant forgiveness without condition, and separate them from your life.

    And Christians we should always remember to seek God's grace if things like this were to happen, our Lord will open a doorway for our escape, remember that God is still our greatest and most trusted protector.

    My mind was drifting in scripture and then I heard you say, "If you are listening?" I had been and as a result it also occurred to me how Peter used to be a fisherman and it seems to me he would have no use for a weapon in such a profession yet he carried one while walking with whom he knew to be the Son of God, whom He knew could command demons, heal anything, go without food with no harm, knew things in advance that others did not and he STILL carried a weapon? It's like not seeing the tree because of the forest. Hallelujah!
    I have wrestled with this very issue and the feelings within that go with it, for I have seen things and heard things that make the spirit within me ROAR and I know that if I were there in person when these things happened, I would not be able to contain myself. I cannot tell you how much inner turmoil this caused thinking how on earth or Heaven can I defeat this urge within to defend the weak and innocent at all costs and stand against evil, at all costs. I know myself well enough within now that for me the idea of being quiet when another is being harmed, it's incomprehensible.
    I have thought about weapons and have used faith to wrestle with that urge for I have felt the awesome power of the spirit of the Lion of Judah within and know that His power and strength are endless. He has shown me and allowed me to experience Him in a few ways that there simply cannot be fear anymore save the fear of overstepping and inadvertently doing wrong like becoming violent in a life or death situation.
    It all makes sense when proper related scriptures are brought together and the light of day shined apon them. So many believers are stuck on certain scriptures and miss the richness and depth of how scriptures come together, support each other, give deeper meaning and clearly shine light on a path that is so much more reasonable and in accordance with how we were divinely created. We have within us a built in extremely strong urge for self preservation, it's unlikely we can defeat that and now we know that contrary to improper interpretation of scripture, we arent supposed to go into Holy mode when someone is strangling us, we are built to fight for life and women especially are designed to fearlessly fight to the death to ensure the enemy is not just harmed but destroyed as in dead so the threat to the young is done, finished, over.
    I feel like such a weight has been lifted and lol now too my work for today is set before me as I will ponder, contemplate, tie this all together and present it everywhere I go today and onwards when urged so that our brethren may stand in truth and not be all mixed up within. I am stoked, feel blessed and know for certain that this topic was guided by Jesus to come to light. I am so so so incredibly thankful Father for leading your beloved son to bring this topic to the attention of the people. Hallelujah!
    Brother, I marvel at you, I have watched you on the archive as well and have sent many a Muslim there to your channel, often enticing the ones looking to fight to see if they can handle watching a few videos by an expert in their ancient texts to learn truth...I absolutely LOVE sending them to your skillful arena. Hallelujah! I am not even done watching this video which I am SAVORING and will most definitely be sharing. Yehawwwwwww and Hallelujah, this warrior can NOW stand without ANY reservations and from this point forward, so too will many more of the brethren and I will help to make this so. Hallelujah! Now we rise as empowered Christians as a new day begins! Hallelujah!

    When I went to Israel and visited the museum, where the copies of the Dead Sea scrolls were on display. There were plaques on display identifying the relevant displays of the scrolls who wrote them. The Sect Essenes clearly prophesied that on the last/latter days there will be a battle between the children of the light, against the children of darkness with the chosen one (messiah). These children will bear the mark of the most high god in all truth ( Holly spirit). When I left there I was bit confused, because of how the churches have always preached to turn the other cheek & die as a martyr under any time being persecuted for your faith. This teaching from you Sam has really put a lot of things in perspective & really starting to make more sense. We have to protect ourselves from the onslaughts that we will be facing in the future in the natural & spiritual. We let the women and children flee, but we men Christians we are ready to accept death for Jesus and our beloved community and family, god hates the cowards the most, we are not cowards. Duh. Killing an unbeliever means robbing them of their chance to believe. Sure, an unbeliever doesn't wanna believe right now, but in the future they might come to believe. And God would want that unbeliever to believe. If I kill an unbeliever then that means he goes to hell for eternity because of my actions and I dont think this is what God would want a believer to do.

    Sam. I 100% agree and listen to this. In John 18:36 Jesus says. My kingdom is not of this world if it were my servants would fight to prevent my arrest. There is no arguing that. Jesus was literally here to die and that is the only reason he stopped Simon Peter from killing those guys. People seem to think Jesus would defend his land or of self or family but right there in John 18 he is saying of he wasn't here to die for us then he would be defending himself. People forget the same God in the old testament is the same God in the new testament and the same God in revelation who is literally coming back to defend his people and his land with the greatest bloodiest war in human history. The blood will be up to the horse's belly. We are to love first always show compassion and patience. But when that fails we have the right to defend ourselves. He just didnt want people getting confused and doing things out of pride and revenge. That's really what those scriptures are for telling us to turn the other cheek to work the pride and ego out of us. If we're not being violent outta pride and it is self defense and we tried everything we can to prevent it not only is Jesus ok with it but by the power of the holy spirit he will assist us in killing our adversary. People forget King David and Goliath and all his wars?? Or Abraham going for Lot and killing thousands of people. Or Joshua invading another land and killing everything that moves. It always so everything in love but not to the point it makes us stupid. Jesus is the alpha. Jesus thee king of kings. He wants a army of strong confident courageous brave men. Not a bunch of lay down and take my stuff and kill my family men. Who ever doesn't believe me read Rev 21:8 cowardly go to hell. Before everything else he has cowards. Please rethink who you think Jesus is. Rev 19:11 on a white horse whose rider was named faithful and true. With justice he judges and makes WAR!! Jesus is not some wimpy weak push over. He showed us how to love and be gentle and forgiving first but he always shows us very strongly what strong confident son of God does after he demonstrates his love gentleness and forgiveness first. Praise Jesus Amen

But there's a difference between defending against evil and this lock-and-load mentality, like we're gonna take it to the devil with our fists. If Peter drew the sword from the soldier that means the soldier had not drawn it, so Peter was not acting in self-defense. Sometimes you need to read whole things before commenting. Since you said that He said to live like Him, then you need to be able to drink of the same cup as He and be baptized as He is baptized. Peter drew it in pure anger. He had not listened to Jesus saying this moment has come.
      If you were really living like Jesus then that same Spirit in Christ needs to be in you. Let me ask a simple question, if you were to walk up to someone filled with demons, would they immediately recognize Christ in you (not you as Christ or having some kind of identity) and then you by a word be able by the power of Christ to cast that devil out?
      Jesus does not want you to go out attacking everybody. If you are violent natured, then you will go out in your violent nature. You will attack others because your violent nature has made you a bully. Islam, by its nature, is violent. Understand what I am saying? Islam's very nature is violent and began by a violent attack of a demon assaulting mohammad.
      Jesus also expects you to stay out of places you don't belong, you ain't got the power to go into the enemy's camp and defeat it. But if the enemy comes into your camp, defend your camp. Stay out of the enemy's camp.

    While Paul does seek protection from the soldiers, it's important to note that their role is primarily one of prevention and intervention to maintain peace and order. In this context, their presence is more about maintaining the rule of law and preventing a potentially violent situation, rather than actively engaging in violence. Paul's actions can be viewed as using available means to ensure his safety without directly promoting or participating in violence.
