Excellent tip about playing the open strings for transitions.
That is a HUGE welcome for a beginner.
Takes considerable pressure off for "not sounding right".
This man taught me how to play as a total beginner, total fucking legend 👏
Happie Birthday Andy...! I've just started the 10 days course and this is the 6th day and i can see the progress myself and I'd really love to thank you for uploading this course! May all the days of your life be as charming as you!! Have an amazing year ahead!❤❤❤
Brilliant lesson, especially for beginners. The bit of theory at the end makes it really worth watching. Rather than giving too much info at once, the short explanation of theory really makes it digestible.
Thanks man! I love this song. This lesson just popped up in my suggestions, I wasn't even thinking about my guitar. Now I suddenly have a new song on my list that I've loved since it came out in the 90's.
Great tutorial . Thank you.
Love this- thank you Andy!!
The "melody section" of the video helps to get an idea of of writing cool melodies over the "standard" chords (especially at ~4:35).
I like melody graph! 😊 Nice job
Ive been wanting to learn this song. Thank you for making this doable🙏🙏🙏
great great video . very well explained
Thanks For The Lesson Andy,
Everything I've Learnt About Guitar,
I've Learnt From You. Thank You Very Much and Wish You a Happy Birthday Andy 🎂🎂
Very helpful, Cheers!!
Love this Andy. Really like the way you now have the chords showing. So helpful. Top tutorial as usual.
Great tutorial Andy
Awesome thanks for share you talent
Awesome! Very good...
Thanks to you and this song I understood how to play clearly Bm and Bm7
Hey Andy! You’re a legend
Nice. Those chords and the string line on acoustic make the whole thing sounds eerily similar to _Wicked Game_ . That's also a great tip to play open strings briefly during the chord transition.
Wow! one of the best people to learn songs from.. Great work andy
Congratulations on 2million!!
Happy birthday sir!!🤩
Thanks a lot Andy! I've been wanting to learn this :D
awesome
New look! Like it buddy
Please make a turorial for 'Thirteen' by Big Star
It's a great song with a lack of good tutorial
Cheers!
A quick alternative to avoid the Bm barre chord is to sling a capo onto the second fret and play D, Am, C and G shapes. Try to get those barre chords down though. Great video! ❤🤘
A better alternative is just to play 3 chords, E, D* and A*. To fill the void of Bm you stay more time in E at the beginning. This is the blues acoustic version that Ashcroft used to play and it fits better in an acoustic guitar.
Cool! Thanks! I have a lower voice, and like to sing, so this key works better for me: A Em7 G D. If you use 020030 for Em7, you can lift off the ring finger to do a little chord melody. Something about this key makes chord melody really easy! :)
Amazing! This one is a forever song.
Please, make a tutorial for a John Frusciante song. A name is a lovely one.
¡Saludos desde Uruguay!
Maravilhoso 👏!!
Valeu professor!!
AG, love the Chapters off to the side. Really helps. Love you videos and lesions. Be well, be safe, peace.
The blues acoustic version use just 3 chords and it fits better to play it. You take out the Bm chord so you stay one beat more in E at the beginning.
Thank you much Andy! I always dig all that you do & share. Cheers!!
I love you
One of my all time favourite songs, thanks for the lesson 👍
Andy there's a song called *Cradled in love* by Poets of the fall. It's a very beautiful song, but I find it immensely hard to play on the acoustic guitar. Please make an acoustic tutorial of it.
Happy belated birthday Andy! Best wishes. Stay safe! Cheers from Toronto!
What guitar are you using?? Sounds amazing...faith???
Thanks so much Andy. What a choon. Love your channel
Great lesson Andy .✌️
Another great video Andy and a great Song.
Beautiful ty Andy happy birthday

Btw Can you do a tutorial for Beatles' song A day in the life, there are very few of them, and I think its one of the greatest song of all time
What gauge strings do you use?
Hi Andy, is there any chance you could send me the cords etc for velvet morning by the verve? Cheers my friend 🙏🤞👍
“Let the melody shine”
Awesome
Thanks Andy

👍👍🎵
Wonderful! Such a great song.
Me lembrou PIXIES
What key is this? None of the chords seem to fit in one key?
Thanks.
Or E or Esus4, bit easier. Ashcroft seems to use this live.
Please do belter by Gerry Cinnamon ❤️
Such an emotional song for my family, my uncles favourite and funeral song, it’ll be fun to learn it to remember him
Yeah great lesson by Andy. Thank you ✌
Can u teach us how to play permission to dance by bts without barre chords plz
Thank you Andy!
Great video. But isn't A2 a better chord?
E, Esus4, Dsus2, A sound better
The Scale is E Mixolydian
I was just thinking about this song the other day.
Your hair looks fabulous long
Andy, why do you play Faith guitars? I do own one btw
Day 3 asking andy to do a guitar tutorial of mt washington by local natives
I am your big fan love from india saare jaha se acha hindustan hamara
Hamburgers are delicious.
I’m new to electric guitar and are trouble with chords. Just wanna know how long do you think one should stay on chords?
Love the vids btw
I didn't realise it was a Bm, I've always played it with a Bm7 and I actually think it sounds better this way!!
When Ashcroft plays it live he just uses an E7 chord instead of the Bm I believe.
@@boguscop Yes indeed the acoustic version that he plays is just E, Dsus and Asus, so he stays more time in E at the beginning
Nice sir, you really made a hard chords simple. Thank you for tis tutorial.
Hi teacher 👋
You are becoming better day by day. Super grt cover and tutorial
“It was based on a sample from the Andrew Loog Oldham orchestral cover of the Rolling Stones' song "The Last Time", and involved some legal controversy surrounding a plagiarism charge.”
Last year the court failed in favor of the verve after years of litigation
Isn't that b7?
3 chords
E,D,Asus2 🤷🏽♂️
Dsus but it's just the acoustic version I think that is played like that.
E Esus4 D Dsus A is how Richard ashcroft played it years ago on live lounge. Best way in my opinion
Ohhh.. I thought it was easier 😓😩😩😩😩
Hi Andy, can you please play the song Count on me by Bruno Mars!
Wow Andy
Now.. show how to play it with 2 less fingers like I do lol.
"This song uses four simple chords". Me sees Bm: So that was a fucking lie :D Great tutorial, thanks :)
I do show a pretty easy way to play B minor though...
@@andycrowley I was joking :) And I need to learn those barre chords anyway if I want to improve
Hi Andy
Why have I always heard this as a 3 chord song? Or at least the chorus.
There's an acoustic version where is played just 3 chords, E, D* and A* and it fits better. So you are right because in the chorus is like this and stay more time in E instead of passing to Bm.
@@gowhales3002 I know that the bass is doing something different at least. Maybe Em - D - A - A or something like that.
@@bminturn that's right 👍
How about a tutorial on ACDC Realize? 😬
I'd rather play E, barre Bm7, Dsus2 and A...sounds better to me
Only E, Dsus and Asus fits better for an acoustic version
What’s with the hair?
50th like
The Verve used to use the Rolling Stones original on their set list played before their gigs started. Rolling Stones must have made loads of money off of the Verve interpretation of their melody.
Not really because was all the time in litigation and finally last year The Verve won the case and the court said it's not plagiarism
