Great point and I have to admit that I too thought there may have been a reason why Morpheus was so confident Neo could have escaped successfully.
I don't think so ... Because he didn't really believe as much as the kid does ...

I'm just gana say it michal karl popper aka kid is one of my personal favorites in the matrix it's a shame that he wasn't in the 4th matrix
He was in the imdb cast supposedly he was suppsed to be in the movie and leading the crew I heard it's due to that they're making a 5th and 6th movie abx he'll be in both
@@Chuck_EL well that's cool if matrix 5 and 6 even comes out.
I think the purpose of "The Kid"'s character was to represent a Christian-like belief system in a Jesus-like messiac figure. And to also show, that faith in itself is a powerful motivator for people that can allow them to achieve miracles. And to suggest that maybe, even though they are attributing those miracles to a saviour, they might just possibly be creating their own reality through their faith.
It probably what makes that book such a powerful tool ala book of Eli ;)
@Phillip Delgado he supposedly did...hence why we have easter. He died in order to ascend into heaven

Of course, Neo just gave him a warning. Then, Kid risked everything.

Yeah, everyone thinks that they'd take the red pill. In reality, they'd take the blue one.
I wonder why the machines didn't just put him straight back to sleep when he awoke from his pod and restrict his memories and ability like the athlete in world record. Maybe they can't bring his avatar back to life and can't put him in a new one. And how did Neo and co. even pinpoint his spot in the powerplant without redpilling him first?
Neo was there when he escaped and rescued him before he fell to his "death"
Agents are actually chasing after neo on the roof at one point in the scene (he hits one of the agents and you see the agent slip)
Watch the Animatrix and pay close attention to at the roof on the right side you'll see neo running and he hits one of them and they fall over and slip
That's why the kid views neo the way he does
This takes place right after the first matrix agents already knew not to fuck with neo so I assume they just sat back once they knew he was there and assumed the kid committed suicide

I had to dig deep for this episode! I knew there had to be a reason why The Kid showed up in each Matrix Media Platform. Looks like his character was way more important than many people realize.

Great question! One that is never directly answered in the Matrix Universe. We can speculate that they have a special real world connection. When we see the kid on the dock in Reloaded, Neo asks how does the kid know when they arrive. Neo may have been able to find him with a similar awareness.
@@Neomatrixology Neo rescued him , he's already out of the pod at that point, he's actually there when the kid falls, agents know it's not smart to fight Neo so they let it play out ..there's a shot of agents chasing him until they realize it's Neo and they fall back and fall over lol
The kid is the first one who didn't need to be told the matrix existed he figured it out on his own that's why Neo tells him he saved himself and the kid views neo as his savior
I fell off a 3th floor and survived
