Hey! I installed a banks derringer tuner on my 2015 EcoDiesel. Worked great for about a month then started tripping check engine codes. Any recommendations ?
Guess Its too late but that down tube is right in your face if you take the wheel well liner out. Had a recall for a vibration coming from the downtube and we had to change it out. Video is great though almost makes me want one. Maybe if I find a cheap one.

I will get you a crap load of chicken wings if you put my lift on J/k...I want to put a 6 inch zone lift on my ram 1500, i guess that's as big as I can go..I been thinking really hard about just doing it myself, I just worry about needing to drop the front differential..

You can only privately sell a deleted diesel truck.. I traded my "intact" eco in to a dealer and they had me sign a paper that I didn't tamper with the emissions equipment... under penalty of law..

@@alwaysaswish The EPA just shutdown a lot of the tuning shops, so I dont know if getting a tune is even possible right now.

Don Smith did not. With the GDE tune it will hold a gear much better than factory. I’d like to but money isn’t there.
2017 eco with GDE hot tune here. Not deleted, no trans tune.
You can't go wrong with GDE. When my warranty is up I will delete and get the gde delete tune. I know that I want the trans tune now, but I can't convince myself to pull the trigger on it.
These trucks have a bad reputation with spun bearings. And that is why I did NOT go with ppei. I'm sure their tune is great, but I think the power is too much for this engine.

When you delete a ecodiesel does it avoid the warranty?
@@leonardobarajas3065 yes I had problem with EGR was going to cost $2,300 to have dealer fix it. Although I just ened up deleting for much less $ dealer said I voided warranty by doing that.
And don’t cut the wires lol that gets you check engine lights even with a tune. Found out the hard way.....gotta splice mine back in. I’ll wait for warmer weather for that deal

@@kelenefta you can still buy the GDE tune and delete kits (allegedly) from a Canadian company called HD Diesel Supply. They charge more than gde did for it, though.
Sparks 1013 that I knew. Canada isn’t under the EPA rules and refs like here in the states. You can still get it deleted and tuned if you take your truck to Canada. I’m close and could take it to a shop up there and get it done, just not sure I want to

Diesel Particulate Filter.....that's what DPF stands for. Thats what the Regen feature is, it cleans the filter

As a diesel truck owner I always find these removals of diesel exhaust emissions equipment ridiculous.
- There no nationwide studies documenting routine failure of this equipment, yet every idiot who complains about the equipment makes that suggestion.
- It doesn’t add a huge cost to the total cost of your truck.
- DEF only needs to be installed at roughly every oil change and it isn’t expensive.
- and it’s good for the environment
Ok tell that to the people like me who have had to replace a different filter and the def system has needed serviced 2 times and finally trying to clean the intake it's a bitch.

I have an Ecodiesel. My wife has a Cummins in her 2500. Then there are our gas vehicles. We have a new Durango, '03 Ford Explorer, '03 Ford F150, a Jeep ZJ that may get a Cummins R2.8.
Each vehicle is different. And the most fun for some things. I would not like to pick just one.
