Over the Rainbow (or "Somewhere Over The Rainbow") is an Academy Award winning song from the Wizard Of Oz (1939!). Originally sung by Judy Garland in that movie, countless covers have been made over the years. My arrangement is taken mostly from Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's famous "Hawaiian" cover that has been featured in many movies and tv shows.

Francesco this has been a song that I grew up with and when Israel started singing this song in his inimitable way, it suddenly became one of my favorites done so well by one of our Hawaiian brothers in music. Now you have given the song and Israel so much brightness and as much love as Israel put into his rendition. You are God's Blessing to music.

I've been studying another pianist's arrangement of the same song for several months now. It has all the keyboard nuances I enjoy playing, except I'm not too keen on the style of their cover. THIS arrangement is stunning! For the first time in decades, I'm inspired to attempt my own arrangement incorporating what I love about your arrangement, combined with some of the phrasing and chord progression of the other artist's version. And, just in case it turns out disastrous, I'm going to learn it exactly as you wrote also because, as usual, you are the BEST, Francesco! Thank you for sharing your art. It is so appreciated.
