My B2 bomber has fallen... but not after a SUPER successful flight with my new mini Turbine. She's just making WAY to much power for that foam body!

RIP the McFarland Aviation B2.... Glad she was able to prove so many people wrong lol
Cleetus please get in touch with me I'll give u a bunch of flying wing equipment u can actually use for content
Lasted longer than i would have thought! haha
Only thing missing is a flux capacitor.
Turbin tourbin terbin turbine same same 😆
Spoiler alert ⚠️
To be honest I think we're all surprised it lived as long as it did.
For sure!!!
Seriously, that foam put up with some abuse
For sure.
Agreed
This dude destroys everything he touches
“Ohh, lost cabin pressure” I was dying, leave it to George with the one liner of the whole video
🎯
Masks deployed, don't forget to apply your own immediatly before helping anyone next to you
watch from 19:55 for a couple seconds, i think Cleetus captured a UFO on film.
That was highly entertaining and very impressive that you were able to fly with the turbine mounted on top. Once you hit aerodynamic flutter it was just a matter of time before it would come apart. As an aerospace engineer that has spent literally thousands of hours at a computer and in the wind tunnel developing the B2 bomber I would like to thank you and MotionRC for bringing the beautiful bird so we can all see and enjoy. BTW the last time I saw a B2 model go into flutter and break apart it cost about 2 million... ooopps.
This might just be the best comment ive ever read
Sounds like your missing some zeros on that repair bill.
Don't you mean Aeroelastic flutter?
@@ericperkins3078 Composite (multi-ply carbon fiber) wind tunnel model to test aeroelasticity. Model over 1m, repair to wind tunnel (blades) just under 1m. ~1/10 scale at AEDC
@@TheRealLefteey Correct... but in aeroscience we work with aerodynamic forces. Aeroelasticity is for the really smart engineers 😁
When your RC plane starts flapping it's wings like a bird you know something is wrong :D
Ive gotta be honest here, this episode literally had me crying of laughter. Georges one liners , the piss poor hand launches, and the washboard flybys were hilarious! To top it off the swan dive that split it in half was just incredible! Keep up the great videos guys 👌👌
My cheeks hurt from grinning like an idiot!
I started laughing like a lunatic when I saw it wobbling and shaking like a strippers arse😂
“We lost cabin pressure” George coming in clutch with that one liner 🤣🤣
The last few minutes of this video remind me of the younger days going hard all night and then trying to scrape up that last little bit for the last little rip at the end of the run if you know what I mean 😂
I LITERALLY LOL
Not going to lie, my heart was pounding. There is nothing like the feeling of a maiden flight! Well done to you and Allen for having a successful co flight "and" landing! That was very impressive! And let's be honest.... A stress test was always the intention for this plane once she got her first bruise. I think she lasted way longer than anyone expected... Hell of a fun way to show off this aircrafts build quality! Thanks for the laughs fellas!
By far the best series ever! Just watching the absolute torture test! Then watching it split in half was probably the coolest thing ever
For a random little series, this has been pretty legendary 😂
Frankly I hope cleetus puts a b2 skunkworks in the backroom. If you had a b2 that was easier to make permanent upgrades without it shredding itself apart in the air. I wonder if there Is any much more durable b2 bombers for sale. I think what happened in this case was the power plants exceeded the capabilites of the airframe material. You see, this is why you need a b2 skunkworks in the back room. Could load some ordinance into the bomb bay
I KNOW. I got sucked in and I usually hate this content. One thing I have noticed is that Garret really wants a jet powered something for real.
EPIC
Because its old school. Like when he was just trying to figure out content to keep the ship going. Just guys being guys doing stupid sh*t.
You KNOW it isn't over haha...Tye will be welding up a titanium version right now...
The second time James spiked the plane into the ground I lost it. A+ content guys.
Brings back memories from a few of my hand launch "helpers"
I was dying 💀💀💀
This comment had me dying
watch from 19:55 for a couple seconds, i think Cleetus captured a UFO on film.
Ish was hilarious
11:54 Hey Einstein, the reason it nosed up when the throttle was backed off is because the extra drag induced a pitching moment causing the nose to point upwards. 14:28 "Structurally she is fine though" ......thanks for my daily laugh....as he proceeds pulling grass out of the nose of the plane. Cheers.

If I'm feeling down, and a bit depressed, all I got to do is watch the Cleeter Crew and I'm laughing so hard I wet myself. 😂
May I help with the cleanup process? I got a lot of "hands on" experience, if you would like some of that.😏
George saying "lost cabin pressure" might've been the best part of the video.🤣
His one liners😂😂
George is such a legend.
i was dying 🤣😂🤣😂
I cracked up when Zach was getting ready to launch the plane and George said, "Don't over think it." Low key jab at Jackstand. 😆😆😆
George's commentary the last couple videos have me cracking up.
The hand launching brought back a few grins, reminding me when myself and a friend were just learning to fly.
We built flying wings out of foam, but we had the most laughs handing the responsibility of hand launching to another friend who was lucky he learned to walk, let alone run !
Very, " Unathletic ", to say the least !
We had more fun giving our launcher grief about his inability to get the Wing in the air, after several,
" Lawn Dart " flights !
Good times !
Thanks for the memories !
👍😎
I only fly model helicopters but like watching the planes do their thing. There's someone at my field that has one of these and it flies great! After watching your government testing with floats, you had that thing setup perfectly! You guys are actually pretty decent at piloting these and sure you can afford to get into some really big turbine model testing...good luck!
Where can I buy a rc helicopter. I can only find the cheap ones you find like in a mall.
I haven't laughed this hard at a cleetus video in forever.... James messing up launching the plane had me dying 😂
D O N O T Let Jackstand fly your plane.
I agree this may be the funniest one I’ve ever seen
Same😂😂😂
I think he died inside too lol
Same. I was actually LOL. 😂
“We lost cabin pressure!” My sides haven’t recovered from laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣
Perfect timing SIR
I know it’s early in the year, but this is probably the best video of 2023
I died laughing 🤣😂
WOW - That was so much better than I expected. Great work guys!!!
hey man stay away from those telegrafe invites they are hackers dumb ass me thought i won,but after research i found out it's malware that can take over your pc or phone it's ratware be safe bro
George laughing is so infections, this whole Cleeter crew is superb. We have racing, car builds, jet boat and now more aviation. The complete channel. Keep up the great work boys.
This has been the series we didn’t know we needed 🎉
And it lasted a hell of a lot longer than I thought.....
Cause it all in good fun hahah also kinda brings me back to being a kid and getting rc cars .... didn't have a jet on it but hey work with what ya got lol
Nice flying there Cletus. Also it's always a good idea to put a piece of wood on the other side of the item you're drilling through, especially when there's something that's easily damageable directly on the other side 😆
Definitely one of the most entertaining episodes I’ve seen in a while!!
Please never let George stop filming the videos. His reactions are gold 😂
That’s the best part, he’s always so excited it’s contagious😂
second this
EXACTLY! dude is gold tier
1000% these guys look like they're having a blast!
Wholesome shit
It’s been a minute since I’ve laughed as hard as I did when the plane instantaneously transformed from a diving bald eagle to a fluttering leaf.
Don't you mean two fluttering leafs?
So, not that long then?
George, how long does it take for you to get feeling back in your face after laughing so much with these awesome videos!!!
I’m loving it, maaan!!
💪🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🏻🤣🤣🤣
Sam's smile is very contagious. Good, good video, boys. Flight and landing with jet engine was off the charts!
Hell yeah brother 💪💪❤️❤️you’ve been selected for today’s giveaway exercise🎁🎁🎁🎁Dm the above number to claim prize ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️.
That millions of us tuned in to watch a grown man play with an RC plane and enjoyed it thoroughly....that speaks volumes about Cleet.
Funny thing is..
A lot of us, do the same damn thing every weekend!
Between Crawlers, Boats and Fast on road cars, this hobby is a blast!
Listen bro I bet for not too much more money you could made one of these b2s with a more durable frame and make the jet turbine a permanent deal. You got a dumb high quality jet turbine on a Styrofoam b2. If you had maybe like a metal interior subframe and aluminum skin or something, you could put some jet turbines on that bad boy and throttle all the way up without it turbine into a raining shrapnel risk.
watch from 19:55 for a couple seconds and tell me thats not a UFO flying across the screen.
@Wyrd O At 1st.. I thought it was just a dandy lion seed floating by..
But I watched it a few times, and now im not sure what im looking at....
James trying to launch it over and over was hilarious... One of the funniest moments on the channel ever.
I do not ever bother to comment... This had me absolutely on the floor. Yer done Jackstand. Definitely needs a redemption arc!
Frankly I'm surprised it survived all this. I thought cleetus ruined it flying it into the cone immediately but it had back to back worst case Scinaro failed launches and still flew. Imagine if you had an rc b2 built out of whatever that metal was that superman was allergic too
@@shawnsullivan6822agreed hardly comment, but had to say something just about that I am dyin🤣😂
Was crying laughing rewatching him fail the first launch and picking it up with all the electronic guts hanging out , and I absolutely LOST it when I saw him do the same exact thing again!!
Especially when you're high
That was some crazy stress testing! Nicely done!
Love the enthusiasm lads. Great fun.
This has to be one of my favourite mini series to date George’s commentary is legendary
Lost cabin pressure... LOL
I'm a retired A330 Capt. for Delta Airlines and I have to say that was some of the most exciting flying I've seen in a long time! That is a Bad Ass A/C. Congratulations! I know that feeling when the end of the runway is coming up. It's pucker time!
I can imagine!
Cool to see your feedback, I grew up around airshows and still try to see them in my adult years. Have a great night brother.
I don't want to hear that! haha
Anything for views!
Cleeter, I'm so glad you didn't give up on the whole jet engine dream. Forget the jet car, this, IS AWESOME!
George filming this had me in stitches. Such good content!
Aerodynamics student here! I don’t think the gyro is the culprit, but good old fashioned Flutter caused by harmonic oscillation! Best prevention is making the wing stiffer if you want to go faster. Good luck from Sweden!
It wasn't the gyro but to much speed for foam
It's limit cycle oscillation. It wasn't divergent, so it wasn't technically flutter.
@@PendulumMapTarotLightWorker And weight.
you "HERE" guys are wrong so often lmao.
George behind the camera makes the whole thing 10 times funnier 😂
The beaking he gave to Jackstand after the two failed hand launches was epic. SAME THING hahahaha
Loss of cabin pressure 🤣
Need to get a jet built around that jet motor 🛵
absolutely loving this channel arc
I love that nothing matters than good friends, good times and great laughs.
That thing was flapping like a bald eagle. 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🇺🇸 Too much freedom!
lol
It was trying to fly itself
watch from 19:55 for a couple seconds, i think Cleetus captured a UFO on film.
Absolutely LOVING the R/C content!
Another wicked video, Cleetus and Co.👍
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this hard while watching one of Cleetus’s videos 😂 when James tried to hand launch the B-2..
The wiggle is known as aeroelastic flutter, very interesting subject to look into if you plan on pushing more RC planes to their limit
Whoever was filming the whole time needs a raise bro was on it

George kills me every time. Hands down the best hype man ever.
George is so awesome. I'm so glad he joined Cleet's team.
The cabin depressurized when little George's sudden departure. Welp this is my stop...see ya wouldn't want to be ya...oh crap no parachute...it's always the little things that bite ya ....not that not having a parachute is a little thing being a hybrid and all
"lost cabin pressure". haha
Is George the camera man? I'm new to these videos so I'm not sure who everyone is yet.
@@Astrohhhhe’s behind the camera for a good part of the videos. He’s also in front of the camera a lot too. Either way George is Awesome. I freaking love his attitude and Infectious Laugh!
James’s attempts to hand launch were for sure my favorite part😂 The second one had me dying laughing
I was rolling!
I was eating dinner and was laughing so hard I almost choked, funniest video I have watched in a long time 🤣
Literally my favorite part of any cleeter vid ever. And I love the car content. This was just good times.
😂😂
I was in tears the 2nd time 😂
Epic!!!! What a path of destruction, thanks for bringing us along for the flight!
James botched back to back hand launches was one of the funniest things ever
Cleeter hustled the whole world by building a monster of a racing channel just to make R/C videos. 😂
Full circle
Ngl it worked. I'm shopping for a R/C drift, off-road, and aeroplane right now 🤣
Hell of a lot cheaper than building a full size race car.
I had no idea he was into RC. IT was the best surprise ever LOL.
And people love it ✌
🤣
Looking forward to more McFarland aviation videos. Great content.
Been hanging round whistlin diesel too long 🤣🤣🤣👌 so much excitement in this video
George is hilarious with how excited he is😂
I been waiting all day for this shit cleeter! “This has escalated a little bit.” And “It looks like it’s factory.” Are the moments that did it for me.
"That's Factree" - VGG
“Will it fly?”
“It will for a little while.”
When James drove into the ground!!!
😄
Awesome m8, and that last dive was epic!
Garrett's ultra-experimentation pre-disposition..."It is why he can't have nice things!"...At least for too long...lol.
I haven't laughed this hard in a while. This mini series was legendary
I thought I was tired of it and it was getting stale, but this "finale" had me geekin' so hard. Glad to be proved wrong on this one.
Literally all the guys at the shop won Christmas. To give someone a present and watch them literally enjoy the hell out of it is an amazing feeling.
This is just all smiles to watch! 😅
Well done kind sirs!
Honestly I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks for the entertainment as always
Cleetus: Full throttle, full throttle.
B2: [Flappy-bird mode engaged]
Gorilla glue the foam back together and fiberglass over the whole thing!!!
Now that made me laugh.
When my planes flap, I tend to slow down, not put it in a dive.
I learned from the Tacoma Narrows bridge.
But this gives him a chance to double the size and rebuild it for TWO jet engines on the inside.
Of course get a better pilot, that one chickens out and bails at the first sign of impact. 🤩
Dive airspeed found the right harmonics!!
Wow! I am amazed how well that flew with the jet. You've brought all our inner child's out dude. I was on the edge of my seat hoping you clickbaited us, but she checked out in glorious fashion! Great work.
Tye should have extended the engine mount out to the wing tips. B3 type R strut brace 😉
I did not expect this kind of content on this Chanel! awesome video guys!
Can we all remind Jackstand every week about his plane launching capabilities haha
Throughly enjoyed the public call outs from cleet to all the doubters 😂😂
20:03 George needs an award for keeping an rc plane in frame as well as he did. I’ve seen rc channels unable to keep planes and helicopters in frame. Well done.
No jokin!!! That was some killer camera work!
He is for sure a phenomenal cameraman
I love that you guys can make anything into ultimate entertainment. Ya'll got that RC bug now too! Haha.
AMAZING !!!...... FUNNY AF !!!!I can't believe how good cleetus can fly it !!!!.... thanks for sharing this with us
George behind the camera never disappoints
He’s killing it!! Has me dying laughing lol!!
The shakiest camera man ever but also the funniest
For anyone wondering, the reason the B-2 started wobbling once it reached a certain speed is due to a little thing called aeroelastic flutter. This happens when the air surrounding an aircraft becomes so intense it starts to put immense amounts of pressure onto the airframe, thus causing parts of it to bend and shake if allowed.
Yea and AEROELASTIC FLUTTER that leads to total airfrane failure happens when the b2 excedes the scale equaliancy of Mach one. Lol
Now I'm Ed u ma cated
I would of said the problem was the mountain dew bottle strapped to it
Resonance is a bitch.
Turbulence and lack of rigidity.
Loving the B-2 vids! 👍
That was absolutely awesome! I have never seen a rc plane have a high speed come apart like that lol
The level of entertainment yall have brought with the rc stuff is epic.
“Wiggling like a piece of bacon” That was epic from keeping the plane under control to getting it all on camera!
Love your channel brother!!!!
After watching and slo-Mowing the footage, I saw where is failed. It showed a ID-10-T error from your inboard computer. 🤣 With the jokes aside, Cleetus, you always seem to amaze me. I had no idea you were an RC enthusiast. Top notch!!
That gave a new meaning to the term "death wobble" 😆

The only things that were missing from this series are the lab coats and safety glasses!
A++ It's been a blast!
YESSSSS
That wiggle you got from your B2 at full throttle is a phenomenon the real full size one dealt/deals with.
Yup. It's called Flutter. It's what limits the top speed of most planes.
A piece of paper does the same thing if you blow on it.
It's called education.
Stole my thunder, I was going to mention the same thing. B2 needs a lot of computer power to keep that from happening.

This was a thriller video to watch. It was so fun to see this show. Thanks for producing great videos.
One of THE most enjoyable eps I've seen in a while. I loved when Cleetus said "turbines wasn't big enough, not enough thrust" hahahaha You guys should def get another one.
9:33 She's learned to flap like a bird, really shows how advanced the B2 is
At 20:40 a real bird 🦅 lol’s and shows how it’s really done.
MC Farland Aviation pushing the envelope. No matter if it's followed by Racing, Aviation or Marine, as long if it's starts with McFarland you are about to be amazed. This was epic! 👍😂
this video, was the best by far!!awesome, you guys know how to have good clean fun!!.expensive though!
The wiggle you were getting is something called aeroelastic flutter. Most likely not from the gyro. Happens with pretty much every aircraft if you go fast enough. Extra power from the jet pushed it fast enough to start the flutter, weakening the B-2s structure so it would do it under normal power until it was compromised and broke up. RIP B-2 lost but never forgotten.
Couple of carbon rod's going through the inside would of helped.
I came to say the same thing, that is a perfect example of what it looks like when you exceed the “never exceed speed”
Agreed, I also think the b2 design is not built for speed. Needs more of fighter type airframe
I'm pretty sure they took the spars out for drama
Vmax is there for a reason 😅
