Excited for the A-10 content! My dad was an A-10 pilot and went on several deployments with it. I was lucky enough to get to see a live fire exercise at a range one time. It’s a kickass plane and I definitely got excited when I saw the thumbnail!

@@jimihendrix5576 if i am not mistaken, it was a video when they had the cars on the dyno and he had issues with them because there was a rope holding them together and he was having issues getting them around the wheels correctly

You guys REALLY need to get an FPV setup. Put a video TX on that puppy, and a receiver & monitor on a ground station, and have fun! Once you go FPV, nothing else is the same. :)

I hope you love this plane i went to the freewing factory in china and helped with meny improvements on this A10 model me and my boss were flying them before they were even out to the public we have one hear running on 2 8s setups from the freewing a4 with the 90mm edf units and it dose well over 350kmh

In the 80s I lived right down the street from a hobby shop and they would have circle track, off road and and drag races. There were guys that had Reyer-Morrison and Bob Glidden Pro Stockers and one guy had a Big Daddy Don Garlits Top Fueler. They didn't do planes there but there were some that they knew that had F-86, F-4 and MiG 21 jets that had actual turbines and the things were so big that they had to haul them in a trailer.

I am not an aeronautical engineer but I stayed at Holiday Inn Express. The A10 was designed to allow successful belly flop landings if the hydraulics fail. Hitting the wheels like that just show how close to the real design the model is. May not be enough clearance in the pod to let the wheels spin when it hits the ground since they flat spotted. Really cool rig!

Only Cleetus can flat spot a wheel while airborne.
Need to set up triple rates. That way with the flip of a switch you can change the throw rate. Also, add some expo to smooth out your sticks. Doing those two things will give you a much smoother flight.

Loving the rc content. I'm currently building a Dirty-birdy 60 converted to electric. The A10 looks like it Flys like a classic pattern ship. Long steady approach on landing to bleed that speed off. I can't wait to see more.

Look into an eflight carbon cub. You can get a ready to fly version with a remote fairly cheap, and its a great easy to fly trainer plane.

Hey hey Cleetus my name is Dallas, I work for the us Navy on the F/A 18G and what prevents the landing from retracting on deck are the WOW switches ( weight on wheel) switches. And each landing gear the nose the both MLG have tag out pins for extra precaution so the gear can’t retract. Plus the one big thing is you need to have hydraulics on for it to retract. Sorry I know it’s a lot but we do have a lot of things in place to make sure it does not happen. Too bad you guys weren’t in Washington anytime soon I could give u guys a tour.

@@Wiserone123 although they have a leg up on some, because they understand what's going on with the aircraft. Real pilots are the ones that get butt hurt the quickest out of all new pilots. You're using your fingers and looking at it fly. It's way different than actually flying a real one. And helicopter pilots that try RC pilots are the ones the get the most butt hurt. Lol I worked at a HobbyTown USA for 5-6 yrs, seen it all the time.

Clear coat the one plane with multiple coats of automotive clear. And leave one plane untouched. See if the clear coated plane is stronger/holds up better.

Back in high school my neighbor friends father was big into an RC group that use to fly Airplanes, BUT they were REAL BIG and were made mostly with Fiberglass and even some aluminum framing. Back then Carbon Fiber wasn't a thing yet, so they were pretty heavy from 75 to 150 pounds and ran on actual Small Jet Turbine Engines and Jet Fuel. Some of them had up to 15 foot wingspans with the bodies being around 10 to 15 inches in diameter and up 8 to 10 feet long. They used Cargo Trailers to haul them to the local airport usually once to twice a month and even went to competitions. They weren't cheap and cost THOUSANDS of dollars to build. My friend said his dad had $8 to $10,000 in his, but another guy with a Bigger one had close to $25,000 in his Fighter Jet and I believe you had to have some type of actual Aviation Pilot License to fly them due to how BIG they were. One guy even mounted a semi automatic .22 caliber rifle that stuck out of the nose and really fired, but I believe due to some regulation changes he had to end up removing it... With Carbon Fiber nowadays I bet they would be a lot better, especially faster and really badass... I just wonder if Ol' Cleetus will ever get into those type of Big Boy RC Planes like I'm talking about. They were Super Badass, but if you ever crashed it could cost THOUSANDS to repair them. Not just Duct Tape, Tooth Picks and Super Glue~! lol

You need to throw a little expo in the ailerons and especially the elevator that way it's not so fast to respond and you'll have a lot more control over it.
You guys are almost there. Drone racing is the way to go!
FPV racing is a blast, for sure. (I prefer Q-500 and up myself) But since Ceetus is the only qualified pilot in the group, getting a race or combat session going without ending before it starts would be difficult. Still fun to watch modern ARF's go through modification and durability testing.

Definitely in my top 3 favourite planes! YF-23 and SR71 are the other 2…can’t put them in an order… to hard to make a decision like that
YF-23 is an odd, but good choice. I'm partial to the 22 because my uncle designed the weapons carousel and I think it's a better dog fighter, but if the 23 was ready to perform when the time came I think the Air Force would have gone for the speed and stealth advantage it had
