About The Show Disenchantment:
After tackling modern times with "The Simpsons" and the future with "Futurama," producer Matt Groening steps into the past with "Disenchantment." The animated fantasy series geared toward adults takes place in the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland. It follows the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo and personal demon Luci. The oddball trio encounters the likes of ogres, sprites, imps, trolls and human fools along the way. The voice cast features Abbi Jacobson as Bean and includes veteran voiceover artists such as John DiMaggio, Billy West and Maurice LaMarche.

I’m anti religious but I have to say this is the best version of God I’ve seen. A good balance between good natured and fucked up. And Elfo’s attempts at offending him are so satirical, I don’t think I’d be offended if I were God.
As a religious person, I like this version of God, too. It is well known God has a sense of humor, I mean, just look at the PLATYPUS, and He doesn't seem to be the type to take offense to 'funny because it's true' satire humor, because nobody would know Himself better than He does.
God IS bossy, and He knows this, so trying to piss Him off by making a joke about Him being bossy is like trying to soak a raincoat with a thrown bucketful of water. It just doesn't work. And most likely will just amuse him and his sense of humor. He would feel like the guest of honor at a roast, not angry.
It's probably why He likes Jerry so much, too. Jerry doesn't cowtoe and is not afraid to say it how he sees it, and God finds that earnestness refreshing and the honest mortal point of view Jerry provides to Him very interesting, especially since Jerry clearly doesn't see Him as EVIL so much as 'Fucked Up' as he puts it. Which, God can freely admit He kind of IS, because He knows that. The whole system is fucked up because it HAS to be in order to create the intricate causal web that results in Creation going the way He wants it to.
Seeing the mortal view on the matter, honest and unfiltered, is one hell of a novelty to him, making Jerry EASILY his favorite guy because anyone who'd dare just hit God with the TRUTH like that instead of abject praise and grovelling has to be a once-a-millenium kind of thing.
Disenchantment God reminds me way too much of Darkmatter2525 God. He even has his own Jerry in the form of Geoffrey.

I have a cool God moment in my fan fic where Jerry tosses God a super star and we hear Super Mario's invincibility theme. Bean and the gang climbs aboard on God's back as he flies them to Asgard.

I’m a Christian, and God loves all of us that he sent his one and only son to die on a cross for us. God’s face looks like a sun ☀️. Is that the joke in this? Or is Elfo and Jerry’s comments?
Elfo is trying to get to Hell so his friends can bring him back to life, also you won't believe who killed Elfo I don't want to spoil you.
