    Instead of going for the fast food only, try the slow food. Mučkalica, goulash, paprikaš, different soups like čorba, stuffed peppers, cabbage rolls, oven baked beans (prebranac), bean soup (čorbast pasulj), fish soup, cabbage stew etc.
    And last, the letter c is pronounced like zz in pizza, so Bucko is pronounced Butsko. J is like y in you.

    Difference between Banica or Gibanica and Burek, is in pasta or Testo in Serbian....
    Domestic Banica or Gibanica is made from hand made pasta ( you spread pasta over table in one large peace , and put cheese and you roll that 🌀

    I have been saying this for ages now to all foreigners, you must have yogurt with burek. It does wonders with the flavor and also it makes it easier for you to diggest and kinda helps with the fat, to dissolve it a bit.. But people have a taste of yogurt on its own, ohh we dont like it and just eat the burek..
    Its like having a meaty lunch without the salad and rakija first.. Man.. And after a few days OMG i gained weight OMG you eat too much meat and cheese and fat foods that is not healthy..
    Eat the entire meal in steps, like it should be done. Hundreds of years of experience have crafted it that way and every little step has its purpose.

    As a Serb from Bosnia I got to admit in Bosnia the Burek is generally better than in Serbia. Especially down in Sarajevo. The more traditional Burek which is in cirkel(Motani) In Serbia they put more filling which I think is good as well but to heavy. But Serbia is better in meats, grill etc. Bosnia has good traditional food.

    01:42 ACTUALLY. Burek IS NOT serbian national dish, Burek is bosnian/turkish dish. GI-BANICA is serbian national dish. It is BUREK - fat(oil) + egs.
    In Bulgaria, Burek=BANICA.
    In Serbia, Burek - fat + egs = GI-BANICA, GIBANICA
    Also ĆEVAPI(T+JEVAPEE) are not serbian national dish, it is bosnian/turkish dish.
    Name was derivated from arab or persian word KEBAB.
    Arab world, Turkey = KEBAB(but KEBAB is something different in Turkey and arab world)
    Bulgaria = KEBAP
    Macedonia = KEVAP
    Serbiam Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia = Ć(T+J)EVAP, ĆEVAP.
    ĆEVAP-I=two or more ĆEVAP.
    Serbian cuisine is a mix of: balcan, turkish, german and hungarian cuisine.
    If u want to eat SERBIAN NATIONAL DISHES- CUISINE.
    1. SARMA(popular in other former yugoslav republics, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, but serbian version is not the same)
    2. PLJESKAVICA
    3. KARAĐORĐEVA ŠNICLA(KARAD+JORDJEVA S+HNIT+ZLA, it means BLACK GEORGE STEAK)
    4. GIBANICA
    5. SVADBARSKI KUPUS(WEDDING CABAGE)
    6. PIHTIJE(dish is not 100% serbian, u can find it in russian cuisine, mongolian cuisine, turkish cuisine,...) but with pork meat, it is serbian version
    Very popular dishes, accepted from neigborough countries
    1. GULASH, hungarian dish
    2. ĆEVAPI, Bosnia
    3. BUREK, Bosnia
    4. SATARAŽ, i do not know from which country it is, Turkey or Hungary
    5. URMAŠICE, Bosnia
    6. BAKLAVE, Bosnia/Turkey
    ...

      The thing is Balkans is just a small region on the crossroads. It is expected that you have a mix of other influences. Balkan states are not isolated islands, they are not so unique and special like they think they are when it comes to their cuisine.
