If you're ok with watching shows for children and family, earthspark is actually a good show that does interesting things with the canon. I also enjoyed cyberverse

Some part of me wishes the gatling gun from the Warrior made it into the show. Maybe it got removed to avoid making him look too unstoppable, or maybe Nick/Paramount didn't like it. I was hoping to reel in the more show accurate Takara version of this one once it restocks, though the bad tolerances you found are a bit concerning. There aren't a lot of reviews of this guy out there, but hopefully there's not too many bum copies. The Takara version of the Warrior also is closer to the show deco, but is also seemingly sold as a Deluxe for the same price as this mold. All of the Terrans are getting deluxes at some point, and I'm tentatively planning to get the others through Takara as they release. Would you consider the Takara decos?

The Malto children have cybersleves on their arms. The symbol represents the Terrans i.e. Twitch and Thrash etc... The original Thrash is a warrior class. I have two of the warrior class Thrash. I use one, as my filler figure for Fulcrum in my Scavenger display.

It’s really unfortunate how much this complicates but doesn’t overall improve on the warrior. Might’ve been tolerable if it had the colors and accessories from the warrior but the slightly asymmetrical leg placements 😭
Yeah very weird design choices...
I’m torn on the accessories because the Deluxe has more accurate accessories but the warrior has a cooler weapon lol. (I say all this as someone who has both already 😂)

In Season 2 spoilers he doesnt have the sidecar anymore for some reason and the deluxe shield is accurate and the bot mode too The takara version Of this guy looks way better than the Hasbro version If you wanna buy some any of these Figures just get The Takara's Version man...

@@BotBenderOrinj yeah they are called the terrons or something pretty sure I spelt it wrong tho lol and that robot arm is called a cybersleeve and it allows them to feel the robot’s emotions and stuff also gives them weird weapons its hard to explain
The deluxe is accurate to season 2 he no longer has the sidecar
0:35 The logo is for the Terrans; not really a faction, per se, but it refers to the Transformers born on Earth, like Thrash.
5:00 The top cannon can fold back as well, so he's not armed in vehicle mode at all, for that extra subtlety...
9:20 Yeah, just from looking at yours, the Deluxe seems needlessly fiddly... _and_ you've lost the sidecar.
10:00 I think what's happened is, you've got the grey "kickstand"-looking piece on the wrong side of that leg; it's supposed to be on the _inside_ of his right foot in bot mode, then when you transform him, it pegs into the corresponding slot on the left foot to hold it together, then the sidecar plugs into the left ankle. Then the tab _next_ to the round peg on the sidecar actually butts up against that grey "kickstand" to keep it aligned.

I haven't seen this Deluxe Thrash, but I have the other one, which I'm retooling and repainting into G2 Bulletbike... 😜
Ahhh gotcha. Thanks for the info and thoughtful commentary! I see, the kickstand was on the wrong side lol. Man, I really dig the Thrash toy, and I thought it was gonna get better with the Deluxe, but it regressed, very poorly at that! :-(

I've considered getting the Earth Rise figures, but i just can't get past their aesthetic. Their bot forms don't do it for me.

For a second I thought that was some kind of extremely ugly Chinese knockoff bot with a very ugly logo that was meant to look like the much better transformers icon so not to get sued, lol
