I dont understand the “left him dead” thing . I mean what could Shane do in that situation . All that equipment is what keep Rick alive at that time , if he try to bring Rick with him , Rick will be 100% dead . If he try to bring all the equipment along , he will get slow and both of them will be dead . So he come up with a best choice , leave Rick there , set up barricades to protect him , hopefully Rick will somehow wake up

Dale in 1st season was very wise, but in ss2 in order to fit Hershel in the group they decided to make Dale so stupid and killed him off. After all, there can only be one wise old man in the group at max

My issues with the show summed up in one sentence.
MURPHYCHACHO I've read the comics and while some characters are better in that, many others are better in the show.
This is basically why I stopped watching the series around the time of the Prison because I knew they were going to completely change the governor and, if they even remotely did Negan right, I would just rather not see that reenacted.

Still it would have been nice if Andrea was still the same in the comic. It feels more impactful because she's one of the original Atlanta surivovors. In the show the only ones left are Rick Carl and Daryl.

I don't like the show much, but that actress brings a lot of life to the character, who is really inscrutable in the comics. Her, and the kid who plays Carl Grimes are both extremely good. In fact, there's plenty of talent on that show, but I just don't like the direction, pacing, or minimal-dialogue writing.

Laura Henderson I really liked season 2. The character development was great so when I was yelling at the tv I knew I was on board with the show.
Season 2 had some great characters and tension. Infinitely better than 7 at any rate.
You're not the only one. Season 2 was important from the standpoint of character development. It also provided breathing room for the group to bond.

The walking dead is set in an Earth where the idea of the dead coming back to life wasn't a thing, no zombie movies, no zombie games or anything. The whole zombie idea was new to everyone so they all call them their own names.
Yet, Glenn has played "Portal" which he tells Maggie during Season 2. I'm pretty sure if Portal exists in the TWD universe, the term Zombie would aswell

Kind of a good thing that the show is original and deviates from the comics so that readers of the comics don't just get what they've already seen and arseholes can't go online and spoil everything (like with Game of Thrones).
As I haven't read the comic, can you explain :)?
MrKosobi Hershel for example is at least twenty years younger in the comics and had 7 kids instead of 3 none of whom are Beth, and Tyrese had a teenage daughter instead of a sister, and those two sisters in S4 were twin boys in the comics who were adopted by Dale and Andrea (who had gotten together) after their parents died. Speaking of Dale and Andrea, Dale live way past the farm and even survived the whole prison fiasco (although he did lose one of his legs). And Andrea is still alive and believe it or not one of the more useful members of the group. I could go on all night writing down the differences in the characters and their stories their are just too many to count.

MrKosobi Jack pretty much said it. The characters backgrounds and personalities are almost nothing like from the book. I liked Shane, hate him in the show. LOVED Rick, but he is just annoying in the show a lot of the time. Judith was never born, Lori was killed in the Governers raid. The Governer didn't survive forever afterwards duping all sorts of random people, the people who raided the prison were Woodburry, not some other group he had roped in. Lori was an awesome character, Dale too. Michonne was less emotional and more badass. (Yea I said it and it's true lol!) Andrea was SO cool in the books, and is my least favorite in the show.

Actually, I think I have an explanation as to why no one says "zombie" in this show. I think in the world that this takes place in, "Night of the Living Dead", "Dawn of the Dead", and pretty much every form of media portraying reanimated corpses never happened and this is the first time anyone has been confronted with this type of monster so they gave it their own name
James Michel That is true, in the Walking Dead universes (Encluding the game) there are no zombie films, books or games. Nothing has ever been called zombie. In the game Lee called them zombies twice I think but otherwise there is no knowledge of zombies in the world.

I was happy when Andrea died. She was the dumbest, most annoying character to me. She shot Daryl because she wanted to stroke her own ego, Continuously slept with THE MOST SUSPICIOUS PERSON in in Woodbury, had the opportunity to kill the Governor and didn't go through with it because of her "feelings" and died in the dumbest fucking way possible. She was just pissing me off from day 1 with her whining and stupidity.
You should read the comics in those Andrea is one of the best characters.

I don't understand all the hate for Lori. Andrea is way more hated than her! She shot Daryl, she slept with the governor, she screws up pretty much anything she tries to do. And up until Season 3, she was the whiniest character. She just couldn't get over her sister and she wanted to kill herself. Lori actually never gave me a reason to dislike her.
Lori was an idiot and Andrea is one of the most useful and alive people left in the actual story. Which this pretentious garbage isn't.
Lori was the most annoying by far.. Playing 2 guys at the same time to get them to kill each other. Trying to kill her baby in secret. Calling rick a pussy all the time.
Lori is an incompetent mother and constantly fights Rick and the group on common sense. She even had the gall to try and stop the group from salvaging from vehicles on a highway because the highway felt "like a graveyard". That's all well and good but in an apocalypse, trying to respect the dead by not picking up vital supplies is going to get you killed.
Simply put, she was the most manipulative character on the show.
