I'd say 3 ladies compassion. The neighbor who got her out of the bushes, the woman who took care of her and then her and puppies and found homes for all, and the woman who adopted her knowing it was going to take a lot to win her trust and help her feel safe and be a happy dog. (Plus, the woman who offered to help groom her and was like, uh.... you know she's super pregnant right?)
You people that rescue animals that have been neglected that are lost or stray . are very special people. Thank you for your service.

What I love about foster situations - besides the incredible generosity of heart it takes to love a beastie back to health and happiness then let it go to a good home - is that the beastie gets to understand that other people - besides the angels that saved them - are kind and gentle and loving - that there are more people in the world who will treat them with respect and care - thank you for everyone who saved this little mama.

There is just nothing better than rescuing a dog.
My husky, Evie, was found roaming the streets here in Ohio and taken to the shelter.
She had big warts / skin tags on her rump and 3-4 strange masses under the skin on her left side.
We had the warts and masses removed and biopsied, and the warts were just benign warts, but the masses were (to quote the doctor) "low grade, benign, cancerous, mammary tissue."
The doctor said they got it all out and it should all be gone, but to keep an eye on her.
I intend on spending every day of the rest of her life doing just that.
My girls (Evie, Lucy, and Sasha) are my world.
I love them so much it causes me physical pain.
So, yeah, trust me: There is no joy and no pain greater than rescuing a dog in need of a home.
Thank you to ALL who saved this beautiful little soul and 7 baby souls. You are heroes.
