Isn’t amazing how you can see your pet just destroy things you work so hard for and still just love and easily forgive them? I found that out with my then puppy. He’s literally the perfect dog and roommate now but puppyhood was difficult lol.

It also depends on the cat. I had one who didn't get into stuff much for 15 years. When he passed, I got a maniac kitten who would steal absolutely everything. I learned real quick that most cats are not like my 1st cat. 😂

I bought one for my cats. The seller even gave me free seeds. Lo and behold, after setting the pot down in the lanai, the grass was totally pulled off the pot. Didn't even last half a day. The seeds are still here. That was 4 years ago.😊
@@tamarapowell8982 I agree. I had my Gracie Mae for 16 years and she wanted no part of outside. I tried taking her outside for play time and she just hated it so I stopped doing that. I did buy the cat grass thing and she loved that.
Take shrimp and coco on hikes or to local parks for walks with you . Or Just walk around town on weekends with him/them. btw, any young ones around Shrimp, is gonna 'watch and learn'... as all young ones naturally do 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Shrimp sure went through that adolescent phase for a long time though😳. I wonder if he was a Singleton baby ... with no older kitty folks to teach him the kitty ropes of being? Anyway thank you for hanging in there till the end 😊
Leash training a cat is harder than you think. Plus, they might run into dogs who want to "play" and you end up covered in scratches from kitty scrambling up your body to get away

The Kitties are adorable, but I think the Owner might think about cat-proofing his house. Of course, they'll dig into plants, etc., but maybe don't have so many. It's sort of a trade-off; we have to get rid of some things we like, so our Furbabies don't get into trouble and are safe, too. Maybe more engaging toys and a little discipline might help? ❤❤

Mother-in law's tongue is definitely a toxic plant. That one I noticed immediately. Looks like at least half his other plants are fake, though.

Dude you need to cat proof your house, plain and simple. Shrimp has learned that when he messes with your stuff he gets lots of attention from you. When you adopt a furbaby, its important to do your research on their behavior and needs❤

I had the same problem with my baby. I got her a thing on Amazon that is called a cat grass planter. Works great and no more plant chewing or attacks. Good Luck!

Museum putty might help some of the breakables atay in place. Growing cat grass for them to eat and temporarily putting the other plants behind plexiglass untill they grow out of this phase might help. I love how much those cats are loved.
He is the best possible pet owner: willing to put up with the challenges and not just the cool stuff. That is true love! If everyone was as accepting, there would be less abandoned pets and a lot more humour in the world.
Consider hanging plants for the center of your ceilings with a pulley system for watering] them. Their gorgeous and unless your cats have Wiley coyote's ACME phone # you should be ok. Shrimp and Coconut are insanely adorbs! Pretty succulents will survive falls too. Good luck!
Beside the cat tree I saw a severe lack of any type of toys for them to play with So of course they're tearing the house apart they got to make their own fun

Adorable! I feel your pain though. I’ve got 2 rescue cats - both black with beautiful green eyes. I’d had cats before so I’d given up on plants in my apt a long time ago. And the blinds, omg the blinds! Mine both want them open at night which I refuse to do (& feel like we’re on display 😆). But I keep the bedroom blinds about 1/4 open & have a decorative screen that covers it but also allows them to go behind it to look out the window. Best of luck! ❤

You have the patience of a Saint, but for all their mischevious they give so much love, my cat Mr Freddie has eaten my 30 year old money plant & just this morning he ate my pepper cuttings, found the remnants of green leaves on my kitchen work top,he is a rescue & we are currently thinking of getting him a friend, ie another rescue cat as I believe it will settle him & give him a companion whilst we are at work,

Yea. We have a similar situation. After losing our two cats early last year, we ended up adopting two brothers from a family friend after their cat ended up pregnant last October. One is a nightmare child. The other is a nightmare on steroids. They just got fixed last month at fours months and I had hoped it would calm them down. Nope. They just amped it up times ten.
Max is a great father.
...there are things called "indoor cat gardens" that are easy to set up in a sunny place with a large planter and a variety of cat-safe edible plants...they work like a charm...you "shhhhht, no NO!" the kitty when they go for the plants you don't want them touching, and praise them highly for going to their planter...I would sometimes pick up my cat and take him to the planter with treats to reinforce his interest....

The cat needs to be trained. My cats don't behave like that. I trained mine.
