It just screws into the filter threads for your camera or eyepiece. The 6.3 reducers are built for SCT's specifically. You can use the 0.5x reducer with any telescope but expect a lot of coma and blurred edges.
Did you put this on the end of the nose piece for the camera, or right to the camera then attach the nose?

Fairly cheap, maybe 25-30 bucks
