I have the Celestron Powerseeker 70EQ. Does it work with that telescope? Can I plug the USB cable into my tablet? I use a Celestron Digital Microscope Pro (5MP) with the tablet just fine.
How you choose which zoom you want if you use this camera? Ithink about getting one.. but if I want photo of Jupiter? I need to combine it with eyepiece to get 200x zoom or not? Thanks
this kind of camera doesn't use an eyepiece like you would with a camera on a phone. You can combine this with barlow lenses to get higher magnifications. f/15 to f/30 are common for the needed focal length for a satisfactory jupiter image.
so you don't use any eyepiece with this camera? so the camera and software does all the magnification and focusing aside from your focuser on the telescope?
Yes it does but it tricky to operate as you can't track with the astromaster 130eq and you get alot of wobble because of the mount when you are trying to get on your subject. We got some good pictures of the moon and a half descent picture of Jupiter. To be honest its not worth spending the money on a neximage camera for this particular telescope, your better off upgrading to nexstar 6 or 8
I noticed she is carefully putting lens covers on lens then leaves scope wide open for dust. The diagnol needs to be removed for proper focusing. It's a wonder she has 34 subscribers. Wouldn't take that course.
wouldn't you want to take the diagonal off to reduce distortion, also won't the diagonal invert the image?
Exactly!
Sweet and simple
I am jealous of that telescope and lens... yes. Most webcams are plug and play.

it is named prime imaging... you need to focus the telescope tube just in the camera plane and you get the image. No eyepiece is needed.
+Nando V k thanks
so if you want to enlarge the image you can do so witty the software correct? :)
hey which telescope was you using ????
beautiful hands nice nails. but does it work all the things you showed mines cant download but can hook up to computerrs
AHaha that eyepiece. O.O
