Critics blasted the 1994 cast for being terrible; *Chris Farley. Phil Hartman. Norm MacDonald. Adam Sandler. Dana Carvey. Mike Meyers. David Spade. Al Franken.* One of the most talented lineups since the original 1975 cast.
Are you kidding??? Stupid critics, they were probably just stuck in the past and didn't like this "new" kind of humor.
? It is the show that is truly terrible. Even with legends the drag-out and bastardize potentially quality material.
Snl hasn't been this funny since.
The BEST
Other than spade. Yes. Great cast.
“Lay off me I’m starving!” One of the best, classic quotes in SNL history!
A great Farley & Spade combo, especially as Spade wrote that line for him and was worried he’d keep doing improv and miss it. But Farley nailed it and it’s the best part of the sketch.
Now canceled
Agree 100%!!
2:34 and David spade lip synced it all the way lol🤣🤣🤣
"When they were passing out brains, you thought they said trains, and then you got on it and... on a train and then you went for a ride."
My favorite line is by David spade "I can't believe we're all wearing the same thing we did four days ago." LOL
Trust me, we are. Lmao
I actually said “Oh, there’s a time lapse in this sketch… and they didn’t even change their clothes.” And then Spade said the same thing and I laughed so hard 😂😂😂
David Spade wrote the infamous “Lay off me I’m starving” that Chris perfectly delivered. You can even see David reciting the line as Chris is saying it. Great moment between colleagues and friends.
and Sandler trying so hard not to lose it after Farley makes the delivery 😂😂
Love this!
Damn! Good eye!
He mouths Sandler’s line right before it too
That slit on Chris Farley’s skirt! 🤣
Haha...first I thought he just got out of the dressing room moms hurry and forgot to pull the skirt down properly....he is also wearing only one stocking...lol
LEAVE ME ALONE IM STARVING !!!

So hot!🤣
It’s taking all of Adam Sandler’s willpower not to break character

Hey it's 4 days later and they all are warring the same clothes from the other day .
Epic burn 🔥🔥🔥 Word is that Misty still breaks down crying anytime she sees a train
I literally laugh till tears run every single time I watch that part😂😂😂
The look on David Spade's face when Farley says "LAY OFF ME I'M STARVING" is priceless
I wonder how much Farley ad libbed this character.
@@heyyou9693 Spade mouthed Farley’s words here.. so I wonder too lol
Spade wrote the sketch. He talked about it at end of the Bill Hader episode of his podcast. He wanted Chris to nail that line so bad he subconsciously mouth the words 😅
@@micaiahhendrickes471 Ya I noticed that too. Seemed like Spade was just hoping the lines wouldn't get messed up
I also enjoy how Adam sandler struggles to look at chris Farley. You can tell he’s trying to hold it together.
“LAY OFF ME I’M STARVING...hehe...hehe...diet starhts mahnday!” 😂
Me every week lmao
Lol
Holy Crap !! For years, I thought he said, "Lay off BITCH, I'm Starving"
That’s how I say it 😭

David Spade looks like Kimmy Gibler from Full House 😂
😆
Can't unsee that now
🤣🤣
I'm pretty sure David is still wearing this same wig in 2020
Diana Perez he looks Good everytimes, when he is a girl or boy 😂💗
I love Adam Sandler in this one, he was trying SO HARD to sound like a girl. Whole sketch is hilarious.
Kinda sexy lol
Still can't believe it's Adam Sandler 🤔
Check out Spade giving the "It's your line!" eyes to Farley. 1:42 Lol
These two were incredible together.
Chris never failed to make his co-actors laugh out of character.
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I think they are Imagining how hilarious a lady would be if she was so manly and acted like Chris so funny like just sitting in that tiny skirt is funny
Miss him
James B Especially these two. They were like the Three Musketeers.
Incredible that he didn't even think he was very funny! Poor Chris💔
Adam looks more like a girl than in Jack & Jill.
Spade looks better as a gap girl than as Monica in Jack and Jill.. though I must say, Monica was quite the hottie haha
well he's like 20 years younger here
It is because he was young, people generally look more attractive when they are young
At first I didn’t recognize him
@@MrBiggysmalls87 I was saying it in the same tone you were, because it's kind of obvious..... DUH!!!!
The first time I heard the "lay off me, I'm starving" it almost killed me. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe!
That’s me when I’m on my menstruation bike 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It was brilliant. Well, it made Adam Sandler almost break character..
No matter how many times I watch this I still laugh till I'm in tears when Farley delivers that line.
I know Chris Farley's, "Lay off me! I'm starving!" is the star of this skit, but Rob Schneider's, "WhatEVER! Have fun making minimum wage, GIRLS!" is also great.
Huh?
For me it’s Sara Gilbert’s “oh look, it’s the Gap Girls and they’re eating, what a shocker.” Lol
Yes!!!! Rob's line cracked me up!!! The way he said it was hysterical.
"I can't believe we are wearing the same thing we did four days ago."
That line makes the sketch for me.
No we're not! Trust me we are 😂
It’s the only really funny bit in the sketch.
@@jonathanmcvay5779 I genuinely LOL'd at "Oh, look, Tammy. It's the Gap girls, and they're eating. What a surprise!"
@@jonathanmcvay5779 🤨 really? Not the fries bit?
I dunno man. Farley going deep with "Lay off me I'm starving" with Sandler barely holding his shit has been one of the best moments for me. Farley steals almost every skit he is in. You can't stop watching him. I've used the line "Lay off me I'm starving" 100 times in the past 25 years!
Sandler looked like Janice from Friends
Michael Cleri yes! Lol I finished watching friends again yesterday but I could not focus in on who he reminded me of 😆

Burnt Chrysler awwww I do too I don’t think most get it but it’s cool when someone dose get it lol I used to live by snl they had the best quotes and jokes I tell my friends to lay off me I’m starving lol
👍 Burnt Chrysler, I like your sense of humor. Keep doing it.
If you love em so much why don’t you marry them?
peachy proncess, I don’t understand why you technically corrected his way of referencing a skit comment. I assume you don’t get it because you are from a different era or age group. Maybe, he does the same gesture as Chris Farley and as he is stuffing his face with fries, he gasps and blurts out “these are good!.....heh heh heh!” . I knew what he meant and probably a lot of goofs from the 80s and early 90s get it. You want to spout out correction to someone, then, start correcting people running this country (USA). Politicians to greedy corporations that feed on hard working Americans. Banks that control your future with their credit check and so on. People are starving in the streets while restaurants and grocery stores have to throw out their food. We have a lot problems to solve in this world and all you want to do is to correct a measly comment. I get it. You want tackle something that you can conquer easily, then tackle the hard stuff later.
I wish you happiness and love and peace to your soul. Jesus!
@@dacheet8174 We used to say that all the time when we were kids. For example: "I love Cap'n Crunch! You love it so much, why don't you marry it?".
Even with a blonde bob wig, blue ascot, and red lipstick, David Spade still maintains his dry sassiness.
Sandlers face when farley says “lay off me im starving” is priceless
You can always see the friendship in their skits.
Yeah 😸
And skirts
Friends share fries
Chris Farley and Adam Sandler were my favorite. However. Tommy Boy with David Spade was great however he's like my least favorite SNL Comedian.
And now Adam Sandler after Happy Gilmore makes terrible movies. The last one I saw Ridiculous 6 was terrible.
You can see him playing with spades leg under the table
I worked as a waitress in a restaurant next to a gap when the girls came in for lunch all I could think about was this sketch
Did they LOOK like these three
One of them looked like Chris Farley
Martha Bixler 😂
Sandler trying to not laugh at Farley is GOLD
I remember when this originally aired (I was a freshman in high school).
Farley's "Lay off me, I'm starving!" line was so damn funny!
No one was expecting that and it is now a classic moment.
RIP, Chris Farley
Go back in the closet Vickie. Harriet is coming.
Everytime Adam Sandler does that high voice I die 😂😂😂😂
I love when he played grandma and Jill with the high pitched voice
He stole it from Michael Mcdonald's Stuart on MadTV
All i think is Stuartttt
@@mikey6482 nope. MadTV started in Oct 1995. This aired before that.
You can see how great an actor Sandler is in that moment.
Farley stammering through that train comeback was flawlessly hilarious. Even spit out some fry. Goddamn, what a legend.
Adam and David deserve an award for not breaking. The fact that they almost do is what makes this so great. It's the same feeling I had watching Carol Burnett.
I always remember this sketch because of Farley, but now that I’m re-watching it I think Sandler was the best in it.
Almost pretty!
I hate to see this happen to you!!
"Lay off me, i'm starving!!" 😄

It was a sad day in 1997 when he passed away, I loved his comedy so much.
I love how chris is already eating when he ask if he can have some
When Chris laughs at 1:41just watch David Spade's eyes lmao
And that look over at Adam like "what the heck?"

His messing up the train joke, made the sketch even funnier!
The rest trying hard to hold back laughter!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gotta appreciate how the Donut Girls, despite being the “enemy” are looking out for their fellow Gap Girls when they’re asking if she dropped the AH. No jealousy, just dump the jerk!
Rest in peace Chris Farley. You are a legend
chris farley is fucking hilarious, Man we need another actor like him today
Chris Farley is just golden. The most natural comedy ever. He doesn't even have to try.
The handing out trains instead of brains is proof of that. "You thought they said trains and then you got on it" LMAO
"Ever"?....not even close

Man, I miss Chris Farley. One of the greatest.
"You are the queen of phone trickery" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best line of the whole skit
Spade wrote that bit. In his book he says he couldn’t help but mouth the lines everyone else was saying. You can see it after Farley drops the lay off I’m starving
Holy cow I never noticed him mouthing anything other than the lay off me I'm starving line. But after I read your comment I zoomed in and watched the entire video and he mouths a whole bunch of the sketch! Amazing!
Never noticed it before. Is that a tick or something?
Kenan Thompson does this in 80 percent of the sketches he is in if you are watching for it. Once you start noticing, you can't un-notice it. I've seen Jimmy Fallon do it in sketches too.
Spade and Farley have the best chemistry! Similar comedic styles.

I have been on a very low carb diet about 3 months now and my inner Chris Farley wants to say that so badly!
LMAO
Best line!
Haha I just noticed at 2:35, Spade is mouthing Farley's lines as he yells them
Yes! Weird
Weird indeed
It's a technique that beginner actors subconsciously implement for timing, pacing and also to assist in remembering lines...also he probably does it to prevent himself from breaking character (I can't imagine acting opposite of a dude like Chris Farley...that must've been a trip).
@@tjhall9377and as other poster said he wrote the sketch so was really overseeing it. Lol.

David Spade mouthing everyone’s lines is the best 😂
Yeah I came after listening to his audiobook
@@jdaddytv3247 I just watched an interview of him and Sandler talking about this and never noticed it... it really is funny...
