The single thing I'm most disappointed in is BMW dropped the asymmetrical headlight. That was a defining aspect of the GS design.

The shape of the tank is all about getting us used to a future EV bikes looks with their batteries. Just like SUV cars got us used to cars with with huge thick chassis, so EV cars would look normal. You heard it here first...

I really do hope it grows on me, but I'm so damn happy with my 2023 R1250 GSA and the fact that I did not wait for this new attempt at a "next era" bike. Sometimes wanting to be mainstream goes very wrong...

It does grow on you after a while. It’s a bike version of the JLR defender. Looks better on the road. As with the R18, it’s got a lot of road presence.

I don't like the look of the 1200 or 1250 GS. I do like the look of the 1300 GS. Now I don't like the look of the GSA, I think the tank looks ridiculous, like it has tumours on the sides. I don't think these big adventure bikes are really for off road adventure, maybe they make great all roads touring bikes, but it is just silly to think these are off road bikes.

You make some good points. This GSA is a hippo! At the same time the 1300 GS with an Enduro Package and Sport Suspension is still one pound lighter than my 2021 F850 GSA. That's a huge engine upgrade minus one pound coming in at 542 lbs.

I am now guessing that you did not sell your 1250. The video of you and your wife (?) 'singing' while riding the 1300 was just a musical interlude.
Now, the new GSA ... have read some outrageous comments: It looks like Legos; The panniers on the front got crushed when it ran into a Hippo; The front looks like an A/C unit. All wonderfully marvelous, though I did notice BMW took a clue from Triumph (the horror) and put exhaust vents for the radiators. Anyways, ugly as hell. Glad I have my Tiger 1200.
Almost forgot ... The lead in with the Turd Wrangler really set the tone for your opinion of the GSA. Absolutely brilliant!

You said it months back … this is the rhino, the Big One. Well BMW have got together with CAT, Tonka, and Swiss Army Knife and produced a utilitarian bike which I really like. Just watch it sell 👍

Can slightly stomach the GSA version, b ut does it really need to be that efen wide... The profile on the green reminds me of a Zero

Agree with everything you said except that it looks OK.........It looks like a illegitimate offspring from some orgy between a Lego kit and a German WW2 panzer tank. It has to be the ugliest thing on two wheels , even uglier than the Harley Pan America .... actually it makes the PanAm look good . Anyway keep up the great honest reviews ( until they come to take you away to a Stalig Camp somewhere in siberia anyway.)
