Hey Jordan, just subscribed to you channel after watching this tutorial. Great information - thank you. I started with a Hero3 Black several years ago and combined it with a Hero8 Black just over a year ago. The Hero 3 has chugged along just fine but lost it recently during a kayak fishing outing. So, not wanting to shoot with a single GoPro I ordered the Hero10 Balck a couple days go from GoPro. It's a pretty good sweet deal with a $200 discount currently which beats all other prices I've seen online. The video is very well done and I plan to check out others you have provided. Thank you!
Now THIS is the tutorial I have been looking for; very clear and concise with nice close-ups of various connections and alignments for those of us who have never actually seen or used a GoPro action Camera before. I used to be an Army instructor, and we used the concept of "crawl-walk-run." Take things slow, show in clear detail, step-by-step. Then practice, and with time and practice it was full speed ahead. Your video was excellent in detail and the steps needed to use this. Thank you.

I bought my 10 last year a day before our trip to Acapulco. Tried to understand it's many features on a jet ski. Lost major memories due to user error. LOL. I have buried myself in these videos and now I can get all the great vids and pics. Great tutorial video.

@@JordanHetrick You're very welcome Jordan! I do have a question for you if I may; I saw a Hero8 review with Polar Pro ND filters. It was stated that ND filters don't play well while using Hypersmooth 2.0. Have you come across this? I was planning on getting a set for the Hero10 but, not so sure at this point. As always, thank you for sharing your expertise. 😊👍
@@rapaent Of course! ND filters can work really well when filming in daylight to slow the shutter speed down and get a more cinematic look. The problem is that when there's not enough light, the stabilization can get pretty jittery. Using an ND filter in low light makes the jittery stabilization even worse. It's a fine balance, but if you just stick to using ND filters in bright scenes, you should be okay. Also, the new processing chip in the Hero 10 has improved the stabilization a lot, reducing those low light issues (you will still see it in really low light). For night photos and night lapses at sunset, ND filters are really useful. I hope that helps!
@@JordanHetrick Thank you Jordan..... Maybe we'll see some test results on the Hero10 to see if the new stabilization is any better while using ND's but, probably not as you explained..I currently have the Hero7 Black and have always unfortunately used auto shutter in bright days. I really prefer manual everything in Flat. I do realize the light is foremost and with these little sensor's it's difficult to have a perfect world. Using ND's without stabilization would probably be the best along with your suggestion of using them for just bright scenes. Thank you for everything, I sincerely appreciate your help. 😊👍
