Anyone been to Sicily?
I live there. :)
Palermo and Cefalù rock ❤️
@@SabbGamer64 amazing places :)
@@sincl4ir you live in heaven :)
Definitely on the to do list bro.
1) Slowmo (120 fps shots>24 fps timeline)
2) Colorgrading (flat color shots)
3) Music
4) Match cut
5) Wider aspect (like 2:1)
So much value from all these videos Jake! Your tutorials gave a supercharge to the way I filmed my surf trip and am so happy with how the latest video came out. I can only imagine they'll keep getting better with stuff like this
stoked to hear brother! I'll have to check them out, will head over to your channel now ;)
You're the man Jake; thanks for your series. Had such a great evening enjoying the deep dive on your clips, happy to see someone enjoying their life and creating sick content. Cheers mate.
Thank you for this video Jake. I just bought a GoPro 9 this past weekend and I have updated my settings per your opinion and so far the videos are super smooth. I am excited to dive deeper into all the settings.
I’m new to this entire world, it’s people like you that make this world a better place. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge in a east to understand format! ❤
I'm binge watching your videos - so informative! I cannot wait to start putting all of your suggestions in practice. Thanks!
It's nice to discover new cinematic creator today.. this is so amazing..
Great tips. Love the energy you bring to the video.
This is very helpul, man. Must be watching more of your videos starting now.
Thanks a lot! Had my first experience with GoPro (hero 7 so far:). Enjoyed it and will surely upgrade my cinematic skills with your help:)
Brilliant video, very clear and simple. Easy to follow. Brilliant. Nice job mate
Thank you very much. Going to shoot landscape and hiking trails next week and will use your settings.
Great tips! My top cinematic tip is about how to move the camera: instead of turning/rotating to pan, move along a single plane/axis (like the camera would on a slider or dolly) instantly levels up shots!
GoPro’s are such awesome little tools 🙌🏼
That's a great idea! - I think that's what I was doing when I filmed the shot moving towards the gate, had the gopro on the selfie stick and used it as a slider to slowly track through the flowers ;) (one of my favourite shots from the opener)
GoPro Hero10 now has a really strong horizon levelling mode.
Thx for the tips, very helpful. We will put them to use.
Thanks for your effort, much appreciated. You explain your points very well.
Just an outstanding presentation. Loved it ❤️

This was so helpful!!!!!!
Good info mate very helpful 😁👍
Super useful. I received a GoPro hero 10 as a Xmas gift and upgraded from a GoPro hero 4 which is such a dramatic upgrade and really glad I found your channel. I never really got it editing video it was more just using an app to let it automatically create videos for me like quik from my vacations etc but now with a 6 and 8 year old and how much we started traveling I've decided to take some time to experiment with video editing and man I'm excited to get started. 👍
Thanks for sharing Marco, the GP10 is great for capturing your family vacations :) the kids will love looking back on the memories. Safe travels
Great work 👍
Thanks for sharing ur tips and tricks
Love epidemic - sooo good 👍
Thanks for the video description
Awesome video thanks for sharing
Great tips 👍much appreciated
Well done bro 👍
I love how this video about editing had meticulous editing. Such good examples. When you change the aspect ratio, does that squish or trim?
Uh uh, do I see the winning combo of blue-ass water and stokes levels up? Sicily is a big win! Awesome video 👍
Nothing better than an Italian sunset and a cutla beers with a wonderful adventure partner :)
Great video, but you're misunderstanding why 24fps looks cinematic, it's the motion blur that comes with having the lens capturing the image for 1/24th of a second - it won't have any such cinematic effect if you shoot at 120fps and then just modify the playback speed to 24fps in post unless you use some filter to artificially create the motion blur.
You're misunderstanding frames per second with shutter speed. Motion blur comes with slower shutter speeds, not lower frames per second. The lower frames per second leaves larger gaps in the motion (from frame to frame) which are eyes are used to. Those frames don't need to be blurred. General rule of thumb for cinematic is 24 fps shot at 1/48 or 1/50 shutter speed.

A giant camera for documenting beautiful moments.. really worth the acquisition
Getting ready to upgrade my GoPro to a 10. Really enjoyed your tips on cinematic improvements. I need to step up. Cheers! Oh, I forgot, New Sub here as well.
Great content. I'm kinda surprised how little emphasis on cinematic GoPro footage there is. New subrciber earned!
Have you ever done a video on how to include 60/120fps footage on a 24fps timeline? You kinda mentioned it in this video , but I was wondering if you had any tips for how to make it look seamless. .
Great videos you produce.
Did I miss something though, 1.85:1 is wide-screen cinema standard and Cinemascope (anamorphic lens) >2.35:1. 70mm I believe is 2.2:1. But I didn't think 2:1 was a mainstream cinema standard. Though I guess it kind of fits in between and is an easy round number.
Keep up the great work
Thanks Jason, I’ve never known the actual standard of aspect ratio for cinema, I guess “2:1” works best on stretching out the content to fill the mobile phone screen or “hand held smartphone cinema screen” where these days most people view their content
Really helpful for my new vlog channel.... happy to see your content.❤️ Keep it up. Love from Himachal, India 👍
Happy to help Ravi
Great!!! Thanks man!

great for big adventures
Thanks dude helped a lot 👍
Stoked to hear legend
love from south korea
Can you do a video more on the editing process of how to make it cinematic ? Like which is the best platform to use, settings, maybe even color grading. Another video idea to can be " How to plan out telling a story " so that the video clips actually make sense.
Thanks and love all the videos !

Some really great tips there. Thinking about selling my GoPro hero 9 though as I have had so many issues with it. Love your content! 👍
What kind of issues are you running in to with gopro 9? Im currently thinking about getting the 9 to capture my trips. Thank you @Lucy Leheilleix
@@kevinnguyen8179 overheating, loads of bad audio, lag on the touch screen. I’d get the 8 or the 10, or go for the DJI version.
