“If it doesn’t add to the story don’t use slow motion.” Great tip! Great content thanks!
Found this by accident yesterday.... And spent the following 2 hours watching your videos. Spoke to me very deeply. I started my channel very recently to document my onward travels. At 35 I'm giving up a career I've built over 15 years to live in the French Alps and travel Europe between seasons. The hints from this video were immensely helpful for me. So thank you for the effort you put into making these. I'll be keeping up to date.
May I ask just how this is coming along for you?! "The jump" into changing life can be intimidating but it's almost always worth it. Please update if you're feelin' it!!? . I'd love to hear your perspective after a year! :) Hope your journey has blessed your life, plentifully and peacefully!
a newbie youtuber and travelling in 3 weeks today! only just discovered your channel and have binge watched so many videos, they have genuinely helped so so so much, and just wanted to say a massive thank you for creating kick ass content :)

Your tip on the in-camera whip pan is brilliant. Hadn't heard that before. You could do whip pan effect in post, but you would be missing the camera actually giving you a clue at the end of the shot. So handheld pan across a beach but at end of shot quickly pan up to sky. You can then smoothly edit to next shot with aerial drone POV. Really clever. Thanks.
Great video. 2 years on and still super relevant. Your videos like this have been super helpful for us getting our video quality to the next level.
Extremely well done. I've been a still photographer for over 40 years and found your video refreshed some of the basic tenets of good shooting.
nice tips.. my biggest struggle with my travel videos is TURNING THE CAMERA ON!! lol :)
Ohh that GoPro fake batteries

Maybe you can try to use freevision vilta m gimbal to make videos next time ~ It can take a very clear and smooth video~

As a new content creator, thank you for the tips! Throughout my years at school for photography, knowing your equipment was the most said tip.
I love this because I love taking videos especially when I'm travelling.
Hi MsJea!.
♥️♥️👍
Never learned so much in such a small amount of time.. Valuable info in almost every line you said. And those shots....man !!!!
Gosh damn that camera strap tip... A+. I've never heard of that before and I'll definitely be using that in my travel films. Thanks so much!
Follow up, I’ve started doing this now and it makes a huge difference! Thanks so much Christian!
This works with firearms well, but I never even thought to apply it to cameras. I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow.

You should check out Peter McKinnons video on image stabilization :)
5 years ago, but watching it felt like you recorded this the other day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. This is timeless for a beginner like myself.
I don’t make travel videos, but I make off-road trail guides and this was perfect for that! Thanks man!
"You can literally take a gray sky and make it seem like a beautiful firery red sunset. if you know what you're doing." idk but i felt that in a different way. damnnn
Great tips. I especially liked the 2nd to last one about the rapid hand movement to help with transitions. That's something me and my friends figured out years ago when filming ourselves skateboarding. It's great to have that reminder of why I think film making is such a great art form
This video was really helpful we just started about 2months ago and we started in Thailand. We are traveling to every single province in Thailand and this video is really helping us.
I love that I'm learning all this for free thank you very much!!
Ive used Epidemic Sound ever since I started my travel vlogs... LIFE SAVERS!!
I can feel your passion through the narrative. Great vid, thank you.
One of the best videos i've seen so far on youtube explaining all the unique tricks to use!! Continue the great work because the way you explained this is so clear and it blew my mind.
I am watching this in 2021 and it feels like a course I paid for. Thank you so much. I love your work.
Same here😂😂😂
YES this video is gold, I learned so much and ive been editing for 2 years now. I find that I am always learning something new and thats why i love editing.
I can't agree more that music is the main key. I also use epidemic sound too
BRO you just dropped a lot of jewels in this one! SUBSCRIBED!!
This is spot on not just for travel but for vlogging. I've seen so many vids like this but not one mentions STORY. Perhaps the most key element. Will be trying some of these tricks in my vlogs in the future. Great work. LIKED.
WTF! this must be the best channel for travel videos! from the Philippines here and I am so amazed with this guy! This inspired me a lot! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!!
We've been following your since you only had 30,000 subs and you have improved so much. You also inspired us to start our own travel/adventure channel. Its a ton of hard word but so much fun. Thank you!
I appreciate this advice. I recently decided to start my channel after a long time debating on it. It is such a weird feeling going from being a photographer behind the camera to putting myself out there in front of it, let alone making videos! Super excited to start my journey and learn along the way
Eh, I wish I saw this many months ago. I didn't expect such amazing advice. Thank you so much!
THESE TIPS ARE INCREDIBLE!! the first one was the best, turning on the camera looks like a good idea.
That’s the tip most people won’t ever share with you.
Great tips bro! On board with all of this. Loving the Snazzy Bedazzled Christmas Phantom drone in the back 😂😂😂
Your amazing! Your videos have inspired me to start my own British travel vlog! Thank you so much for sparking my inspiration and getting me to reconnect with the outdoors 😃
This is what i am finding from months…Thank you❤️
You are a real master of travel vlogging 👊👊👊 thanks for always sharing your ideas Christian
Where's your fan of the day? 😁
I like that katty apeares on your video
Check out the travel video shot just using mobile -

This guy made a DIY action camera out of a mobile...
You are your favourite? To me, best one's are Brandon Li, Yuri Palma and Mr Brynnorth. Followed by Ben Brown, DAlessandri, Sam Kolder and Matt Komo

You’re an all star. Thank you so much for always putting out quality advice and footage, Christian!
Good tips man. Can't believe I hadn't thought about drone's built in gimbal for a quick steadycam! Also for anyone watching in the future - instead of using the cut from fast to slow or slow to fast, learn about speed ramps. It'll achieve the desired results but look 10x as smooth and professional.
Thank you!! I especially like the transition tip!! These tips will make my channel better! Really really thank you!!!
Planning to make travel/adventure vlog become better and I found it.thank you for this great info. Love from philippines
"You need to do whatever it takes--almost what ever it takes dontkilyourself." loved this. (edit: love you man)
"Don't kill yourself" thanks best advise ever.
WOW! Amazing Tips! ♥️
Thank you.
I will start my travel vlog soon.
Amazing, it's great when a content creator shares their tips.
Christian showing em how it’s done!! You’re a really skilled videographer I can never downplay that, but I’m sure I’m not the first to say, it’s your charisma that won us over, the original fans. Whether you film on a GoPro or a top of the line DSLR I always watch your vids for the good vibes you bring to your audience. Positivity wins!!! The tools are ultimately just a means to capture that energy. Your energy, the energy of the place you’re travelling in. I’d much rather take travel advice from a person I can relate to and enjoy listening to than a sterile Expedia video. You’ve inspired me and my girlfriend to travel to quite a few places from your vlogs. Thanks again for sharing your experiences with all of us. #teamgetlost!!!!
Thank you x 1000
thank you so much man for this video i learned alot from it soon im going to start my travel vlog channel , i can see ur passion in ur video while the way u describing it .
Great advice, I've just started to put together travel vlogs from my trip to Iceland. It's my first time putting together travel vlogs so your videos are really helpful!
This is GOLD! Thanks for these incredible tips, Christian. Even though I don’t have the fancy gadgets yet, I rely only with my iPhone and Final Cut Pro prowess. ☺️👍🏼
Definitely going to use some of these tips!!! Thank you for an awesome video!
This is helpful, this is Philippines ❤️
I can't wait to go back to Bali.
Traveling makes the mind bigger
These tips are all really good and useful. I especially like the idea of creating your own transitions with the camera rather than relying on software built-ins. Thanks so very much!
AMAZING advice! I'm just putting my feet in the water of videography - you are SO talented!
I used to make lists of mistakes including destroying the nice footage with transitions or filming in few angles or cutting out the funny parts.
I'm learning and improving
Man, we got some work to do but we really appreciate all the tips. Thank you so much for making a video like this.
Tell a story ... solid tip man, honestly ... I love travel vids but so many of them are just eye candy ... yours are so good cause theres a story that pulls them through and elevates them. Great vid, as always. Tc
Thank you! This is so helpful. Currently watching bunch of travel video tutorials and still working on improving my editing skills cuz i'm starting a Travel channel. Literally a newbie. Hope i'll get there one day.
Thank you for making people inspire!..😊😊
I'm going to be daily vlogging in Asia in April and this is exactly the video I was waiting for. Thanks!

Great tips for future travel vloggers - Thank you! Good luck vlogging everyone😊
I couldn't agree more! Excited to start doing this!
Amazing advice, Thank you so much!
I'm a complete beginner so any advice is welcome 🙂
I just found your channel. I'm so in love with your work like you said - you do take this to the next level by giving a little extra on every one of your videos. Thank you for sharing all of this and keep it up! Can't wait to see more of your content.
Amazing tips 👌 can't believe I'm just now seeing this 😭 this is extremely helpful! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the video. Love the way you speak. It’s informative but still natural.
WOW! Most of your videos are from the Philippines. Makes me proud. Thanks for featuring my country.

I totally agree! I'm so grateful for people who give others tips on how to succeed! Can't wait to try this!
One thing I have noticed on travelling is you can't enjoy the travel while making a film.
Agree! and then you'll miss those moments while editing the video. lol
Yes you need to choose...
KVN ORB definitely edit at home and if you only allocate a small portion of each day to filming you still get to experience it
How about only take maximum 3 minute video shoot per place..
It depends on you, if you don't enjoy the trip while you're making a film then this pasion is not for you.
Been trying to step up my videos recently, these tips are definitely an inspiration
Thank you so much. Getting inspired. Doing my best following your tips and tricks.
So many good tips!!! The fast motion cuts, genius!
I've been subscribed to your channel for some time now, trying to learn as much as I can before I plan my first trip to Cebu in April. As always, I learned a lot!
go an extra mile to get that great story - i love this advice :)
i’m just starting out and got new equipment this week so this is super helpful! thank you for this 😁
Great watch. I love how much you express with your hands however your hands need to be a part of this visual! Need a Longer dof and focus 🤙don't be afraid of your background
Learnt more practical stuff watching your video than I would have doing a photography course. Huge THANK YOU!! Keep rocking.
Learned
Your the best, congratulation. Most people struggle with complex editing software; with your explanation you take a big chunck out of post production.
Hi, Your Travel Vlog Tutorial is excellent. Being a beginner, I can relate to the errors I have made in my videos. I will surely try to work on my new videos for sure. Thanks. Best Wishes #StayHome #StaySafe for now.
Thanks for the bunch of information... you are our Inspiration ❤️❤️❤️
LOVE your content 👌🏻 Thanks for sharing!
czcams.com/video/HmFur821hr4/video.html
Love this for value of information! Actually hard to find this type of valuable info wish I found it when I started 😂! Also tip 1. Turn on the camera, priceless information 🤪. Also just started record with my phantom handheld for some shots I can’t be bothered setting up my ronins for 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
To be honest the turn your camera on is a great insight. No I'm serious! All the tips in the world don't matter without trying and learning.
This is so helpful especially for a beginner like me. Thanks for this. 👏
And by the way, you speak so professional
“Whatever it takes.../pause/ALMOST whatever it takes.” 😂👏
nice "catch" Rainy. I don't think he added that clarification to be funny. It made me laugh that I though he did a second take when he realized there could have been ethical or legal consequences to doing "whatever it takes".
Thank you so much. We are starting a travel channel (me and my wife)and it became her world. I will definitely use your tips
