It was so weird how all the water people disappeared suddenly leaving Jake and natiri alone
They didn't need to help, Jake, his family was protected by plot armor, except Neteyam.
I believe James Cameron did that on purpose so he have something to actually show people in the extended version
It wasn't their fight
@@thelostbody I don't think it's the script,I think it's the way James Cameron edits and cuts his movies,if you look at the extended version of avatar you'd be surprised how much more fleshed out and we'll written it is
I think it had something to do with the eclipse. In the movie they mention that everyone should get back to their home before the eclipse.
Swimming under the fire would've been a no-brainer in the movie called The Way of Water.
What they forgot is that it’s only the older kids in that moment and Spider is the one that directs them back to the ship where the parents and youngest are still onboard
It’s not like in this where everyone is reunited and ready to escape
Plot holes, everywhere. 😵😵
@@xenencross1717 Lol no. Just continuity errors. The "plot hole" of "swimming under a fire" is easily fixed by knowing that Jake's family was unable to see how far the fire was. And knowing it's coming closer to you makes you panic and forces you to go to the ship. Basic psychology. Media illiteracy in this comment section is astounding..
I believe swimming under the fire should have been the first thought. I know plot-wise why they didn't, then neither Kiri nor Lo'ak would get their moments to shine, and Spider wouldn't get to save his dad with none being the wiser (though the last two could have been worked in, as in they return after the women/girls are safely away from the ship. Arguably Kiri could have been worked in too, more detail below).
Movie-wise, I think, it kind of works like this: Spider has been away from them for so long, I think he just forgets, or maybe doesn't fully register, that most of them can hold their breath underwater for a long time now - he wasn't there when they learned (and never got to see Kiri and Tuk do that). I say most of them, because Neytiri still can't, so it's probably not her first thought either. Also, the other commenter is right that they don't know how long the fire extends, and without a quick mode of transportation, like an ilu, they do risk panicking and in fact drowning without the possibility to come up for air. So I think the possibly better use for Kiri would be to get that winged creature that helps breathe for each of them, and then they'd just swim below the fire. Then, assuming they get an ilu afterwards, the only question is whether Neytiri would allow her only remaining son to return for more foolish risk-taking. Though it's entirely possible that Lo'ak returns and whisks Spider away while Neytiri isn't looking and the plot still gets to happen (why would he do that? how does he know where to look? don't know).
Edited to fix a typo.
Would’ve been a cool shot
Let's not forget that the entire point of the movie is Jake and his family learning the Way of Water, yet only the kids seem to have mastered how to control their breathing underwater, to the point that the entire ship escape boils down to "oh no, some of them can't hold their breath for long enough!!"
Meanwhile Neytiri wasn't learning the Metkayina ways. She comes to battle using forest strategies only
Neytiri didn't focus much in learning their ways and Jake was too tired and injured to hold his breath for long after his fight with Quaritch.
Right off the bat, I died of laughter at 0:22 when Neteyam hit Jake with "Bro! I mean, Dad!"😂😂
Indeed, LOL. I thought that this would be important information to share, given the ocean-related nature of this movie. 35% of all ocean microplastics come from clothing/textiles, mostly polyester, but also acrylic and nylon as well. This is largely due to clothes made of these materials being washed, which causes these clothes to quickly erode, with the microplastic fibers entering the water system and eventually the sea. Ocean Hero is a great search engine that we can use to help clean up larger plastics before they disintegrate into microplastics.

What I liked is how those helicopter things were taken out by one single arrow crushing through the glass and killing the pilot. Jake's wife alone did that at least four times in this movie. One thing that always bothered me: If humans were advanced enough to create Navi bodies, then why didnt they use it to alter human biology? Why couldnt they create lungs that could breathe both air and xenon. Also they could've used that technology to make Jake's legs work again.
Because they were insanely greedy. Earth in that universe is a full-on cyberpunk dystopia without even a single patch of green.
It's a classic tale of killing the golden duck.
the human biology point is fair, but i think they explicity did have the tech to make Jakes legs work again, but they wouldnt give it to him unless they helped them in the first movie. its been a while so i might be misremembering though
They could make his legs work again. He just didn't have money to pay for it or something. It's said in the first movie.
It's literally the motivation they give to Jake in the first movie and one of the first few lines. Like help us, and we'll make you walk again.
@@faaznoushad1718 all because Cameron wants his story the be about: Humans and technoloy=Evil
Stone Age Aliens and Nature=Good
The one thing that did actually bug me ALOT at the end of the movie.
The entire ending of the fight section hinges on most of them drowning in the boat as it floods.
Yet earlier in the movie AND IN THE DAMN SCENE they already fixed this issue with the jellyfish creatures that literally allow you to breath under water.
Couldn’t they just, I don’t know always keep one nearby like how spider always keeps his oxygen mask on.
Could have saved that entire ending there and then.
Could have even increased the fighting underwater if both of them had one of them mfs strapped to their backs.
Also... Spider's hellish existence of slowly suffocating if he EVER takes that mask off.
Ronal’s weird healing ritual in the background was too funny 😂😂
Also very impressed that they got the water clan’s accents right! Well done Hishe and love those socks but I don’t think they ship in my part of the globe 😿
I was surprised I didn’t initially see more people talking about how weird it was that they fully left the old clan to escape the bad guys, but called their friends over the minute one of the kids was kind of sick
It's not a plot hole though, even when the result was unfortunate. It was completely in-character of Jake freaking out about Kiri having a seizure for seemingly no reason. Shouldn't it be common sense that Jake will always have that Human side to him?
I mean his kid was passing out and is in a critical state. Jake clearly trusts those scientists to do something.
And while we're at it, it's pretty cheap to ditch the Omaticaya in the first place after Jake spent the entire first movie trying to be one of them. Tsu'tey _specifically_ made him chief with his last words!
Methinks that it'd be better if Tsu'tey had survived for Part 2 - then the Sullys could just hop back and forth between the clans as the story required it.

@Don't Read My Profile Picture Ok I won't
It always bothered me how Tonowari was for some reason absent on the final fight against Quaritch. Even my parents who are fans of Avatar are bothered by that fact.
Apparently, the final fight scene was originally done with the Metkeyina warriors presnt for the final battle, but the test audience reactions were not good, so it was redone with the version we see in the film. The reason being to focus the audience attention on the extended Sully family.
If i remember right james said he cut like 30 minutes because those were too brutal

Apologise to the original commenter now!

Does anyone else think it's weird that arrows can somehow pierce through futuristic bulletproof glass, as if it were wet cardboard?
Their arrows are pretty hefty and I assume there made from something durable
Since when is the glass bulletproof? Even if it is, bullets and giant arrows/spears are very different. You could compare bulletproof glass to bulletproof vests, they disperse the impact of a bullet, but can't disperse the impact of a much longer weapon with a much finer point.
Somewhat true, but it is not unplausible. 1. those were usually on airborne or highly mobile vehicle. You cannot put very thick glass on (like on an armored car which ends up with 2-3 tons). 2. Their bows are about 2 meters in length and the Na'vi's arm span is at least 1/3 beyond humans and they are about 4 times stronger (which is surprisingly not unplausible either comparing with some earthern animals).
Only from a direct shot. The first time they tried it in the first movie, they were shooting from below, and all the arrows just bounced off. The next time, they shot them from above, hitting at around a 90 degree angle, and managed to penetrate the glass. It's why in this movie they always loop over and attack from above.
What I think is weird is that everything is punched through like cardboard. Seriously Earth learned absolutely nothing from their first encounter. I wouldn’t have landed on the planet again if I didn’t have arrow proof armor and automatic targeting that detects anything unfriendly in a wide radius and automatically shoots them down. We have these kinds of turrets now strange how the future seems to have forgotten they exist.
1:54 Best Take That jab ever at that infamous scene of Na'vi allies of Jake conveniently missing in that battle.
They just up and left
It was absolutely ridiculous how they just vanished. I mean, say what you will about the original Avatar and how it is Dances with Wolves retold, but it didn't have plot holes like this. Cameron had over a decade to write the best story possible and someone this is what we got. If it were at least consistent that would be fine. I can even somewhat forgive how idiotic it is that the humans flew away from a dying planet to harvest whale brain juice that sells for a ridiculously low price that probably doesn't even come close to covering the cost for the flight and nor does it help resolve the issue that their planet is dying. The fact that the final battle has this large of a plot hole is really unforgiveable when you take everything into account. Cameron is supposed to be far better than this, or at least I expected far better from him.
It's still an overall good movie, but I hope if we do get more that some children get to watch it first and tell him if even they found plot holes in the story.
@@AMD64EVER Not a plot hole, but continuity error. Cameron already told in a Q&A that there is a deleted scene of Ronal and Tonowari meeting with the Sully's during or a bit after the 'final battle'. So much media illiteracy here lmao. Also your take in the liquids' sell is flat out wrong; the movie literally states they get rich very quickly from a small sample of it alone.
@Ancent I guess my point still stands that Cameron should be able to do far better.
To the money side, imagine I wrote a scene where thieves were selling diamonds for pennies and were all excited how rich they were getting. In that scene, would you agree they were actually getting rich? In the movie, the value given for the liquid was so low it wouldn't be able to fund everything going on there much less the trip to get there. If there was such technological advancements that doing all that was affordable on a shoestring budget, then I feel like earth wouldn't be in such bad shape. One billionaire like Musk could terriform and move everyone to a new planet or maybe they just build a new planet from scratch. Anyways, made no sense

Omg the last bit with the cloning!!! This was almost EXACTLY what I said in the theater! I was like “if we know what the mixture/compound is, we can probably synthesize it. It’s far more ethical, especially once we knew that the whale was sentient.”
I’m a biochemist (this is on my uni degree), and we can make just about any compound that exists naturally in a creature or plant given enough time and resources using, at the highest biological level, bacteria, a plant, or mice. Sometimes it’s just beakers and a week of mixing chemicals. If we could clone a sentient being without any brain signals, we can make this immortality soup commercially in six months to a year at a fraction of the cost of hunting a sentient whale.
Might be something unique to a tulkun's brain that can't be replicated synthetically - same reason you can't just throw carbons and sugars together and get a cake, and why knockoff pearls are so easy to spot. In that case, they'd have to clone tulkun on Earth outright, and that might be just as expensive as building a hovercarrier on Pandora.
Why did previous generations waste so much on whaling ships when they could "just" breed whales? Same answer.
... .. So, I'm gonna need you to get all the way off my back about thos, awesometastic
@Crickett synthesized diamonds have a different appearance then real ones in most cases. And the entire diamond market is fixed with artificial supply limitations.
I don't think either factor is comparable to whale brain juice.
A better comparison would be artificial flavors vs natural flavors. But if all the natural flavors had to be imported from mars, we would likely just start lying to save the trip (since you can't tell them difference anyway).
@Crickett But we can fish right in are backyard, not months travel away. It's considered more ethical and healthy to get natural fish then farmed fish.
Again artificial flavors are a better example, because it is a single chemical like the whale brain juice would be.

I was expecting them to address the fact that Neytiri threatened to kill spider... ya know, her adopted son. Because even though she and Jake treat him like a pet, Jake calls him a Stray cat in the intro, he was still raised by the, with their biological children. They had no issue adopting Kiri, Na'vi are presented as more loving and open minded than humans, Jake used to be human, Neytiri is bonded to a transcultural immigrant. I realize that the Omatikaya, and the Na'vin in general have a lot of hatred and trauma to unpack from the first movie... and I'm not trying to disregard their feelings or history....
But they essentially ruined this child and don't want to take responsibility for him. He was born on Pandora, native and ingrained in the culture and language, one with nature. He is a Na'vi trapped in a human body and if he goes anywhere else, he's dead. He can never go to earth and doesn't have ties there, Pandora is his home.

My critic as a viewer is moreso is that if he wasn't a part of the family, why allow him to be around your children in the first place, let alone put forth the energy and resources to teach him how to hunt, walk, and live like a Na'vi, like they did their other children. And even then, you spent so much time around Spider, raising him along your children, but don't feel anything for him when he's gone. Jake *WAS* a human, the Avatar bodies have human genes in them, three of their children have the "demon blood" in them that is a clear indicator that they are partially human, earning them ire from other Na'vi.
I don't have a real problem with it, as long as this issue gets addressed in the next movie. Like how in Jake going full native, he's forgotten his roots and is evident in the way he views Spider. Or that Neytiri, the first to "See" and love Jake, human, Avatar, Na'vi and all in the same vein is blind to Spider.
This right here! I almost half expected him to leave with Quaritch in that scene near the end, but he was still loyal to the Na'vi & ultimately to the Sully family. Couldn't respect him more for that! The fact that the whole debaucle went unaddressed irks me
I feel really bad for Spider. Kid has it rough. Doesn't belong with humans because of how he was raised and doesn't seem to have much of a place among the Na'vi. No one asked after him when he was saving his biodad. I hope he becomes fully a part of the family. Kid has a good heart.
@@sergiosilvestri5147 Yes he is. Both Jake and Neytiri have a bead in their songcords to represent "Spider's unnoficial adoption" this is canon. Hence Neytiri's treatment of Spider doesnt make sense. So much of the movie doesnt make goddamn sense.
I am surprised none of these endings had Neteyam survive.
EXACTLY IT'S WEIRD
2:36
You can see the Titanic sinking with Rose and Jack on top.
It's funny too the Titanic is also directed by James Cameron.
1:43
Why wasn’t this in the movie XD
Idk where he went
The whale allegory was priceless
The sinking ship movie reference got me 😂😂
So crazy to be watching Avatar and then realize Cameron shoehorned Titanic into it because of course he did😄
Kate Winslet is in two James Cameron movies lmao that made over two billion.
😂
The most fantastic part of Avatar is that they really make you believe that the Navi had an idelic civilization without diseases or internal conflicts, really they make such a big effort to show that they don´t need human technology
The next movie is going to disapprove that.
@@neeljavia2965 hmmm why coldnt just teh humans get the navi to kill each others and start a civil war it would have been more effective than fighting them in their homeland
they had internal conflicts in the first moive tho? like not major ones but i always thought that was cos they were a bunch of small tribes. Small tribes often have less internal conflicts
I mean humans didn't have technology for thousands/100s of thousands of years and we did just fine didn't we?, people were even more resistant to disease, stronger, faster, even smarter actually cuz alot of the tech we have today is based off things that were discovered by people way back in the day so yh tech is only softening us rather than making us better, the navi don't need tech cuz what tech does for us nature does for them
@@bubby6858 In real life is impossible a tribal society like the Navis live in a peaceful way without diseases, it would be most likely that each tribe is fighting against each other for resources, and there will be a lot of wounded navis
I miss the frequent skits from the cafe and pub. I still love the actual episodes, I just wish there was more cafe and pub time.
Right off the bat
“BRO, I MEAN DAD!” Had me dying 😂
Its always a great day when HISHE uploads a video.
The Whale with a gun had me in stiches.
Watching your videos is like a dejavu to me, just more fun and animated. I literally tell myself while watching this movies the same things that make no or little sense. You guys are doing a great job.
the way you introd your merch was awesome
Man Ronal’s baby screaming in battle was funny 😂
"I dont wear socks" " YOU DO NOW"
2:10 The Whale joke really made me laughed so hard 🤣🤣
1:11 LMFAO 😭😭
I like how the subtitles say "Normal baby screaming," as if to say this whole thing is normal for unborn Navi.
0:45 "Odinsleep"😅
I personally adore the little change in animation when Tonowari is swimming, compared to the others. Such a fun detail!
2:23 - lol Titanic in the background!
"Ah....I love the smell of CGI in the morning...!"
RRR: Rise Roar Revolt (2022) 🌋🌊, Bheemla Nayak (2022) 🔱, Pathaan (2023) & Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero 🐉 are an eminent masterpieces ❤💥
Oh hi! It’s funny to see you comment on other animated vids xD great job on your videos!

That Oscar Winning Brendan Fraser cameo was totally UNEXPECTED and AWESOME! - Lmao!!!😂🤣💗
2:44 love the detail where metkayna chief is swimming metkayna way and rest of them our way.
2:49. I actually like the font for the subtitles.
Never in my life would I expect to be completely moved by a song about socks but here we are
Jack and Rose on the ship! 😂 Also yeah the fire! Just swim under it! I’m like, “James, your Titanic is showing.”
I like how the outro song is like the Weeknd’s song in the end credits 😭
cool song at the end 3:25
Super Cafe was their greatest creation
ikr
No Villains Pub was the greatest creation
@@Star_l0rdd No Super Cafe and villain pub were their greatest creations!
How Avatar 2 Should Have Ended: about 80 minutes earlier
The song at the end is fire.
It’s not just a horrible font, IT’S PAPYRUS!!!!
Hah, exactly 😂
“They must have modified it a bit”
Well, whatever they did, it WASN’T… ENOUGH!!!!
2:35 'We've already seen the ship sinking movie'. I was half expecting a Kate Winslet Titanic joke there...
Edit: Never mind,. Didn't spot them at 2:41 until later. Well played HISHE, well played!
Payakan shooting guns is top tier humor right there🤣
Dude, the end of that movie is 4 back-to-back action scenes
ALL IN THE SAME DANG LOCATION!
Love the little titanic reference in the background 😂
When I saw this in theaters a thought occurred to me. There should be no feasible way for the Na’vi to fight back.
I mean, the Humans just landing their ships destroyed miles of landscape. Imagine what their weapons should be capable of.
Like, when Quaritch arrived with his squad of Avatar soldiers, the Humans' leaders on the Pandora told him that they know where Jake is, but that they can’t reach him because of the Banshees swarming their ships.
Why didn’t Quaritch remark, “So, we know where our main enemies and their leader is?”
Ardmore replies, “Yes, but there’s too many of the scary Pandora dragons.”
Quaritch looks at her in disbelief and says, “Just orbitally bombard them until those mountains are dust. We’re a spacefaring species. Something like that should be easy for us.”
Ardmore, “Ooooh. Right, I forgot about that.”
Movie ends with Jake, his family, and all their people slaughtered without a way to do anything about it.
Except it's not easy. Everything about interstellar travel is insanely difficult, and that's in a realistic sense. Those Interstellar Vehicles may be powerful and fast, but they would also be incredibly delicate. Should something small crash into it, containment of the antimatter would be lost and the ship blows up. Antimatter can't really be spared for weaponry either when you need to use all of it to get up to a relativistic velocity to make the trip economical.
Furthermore, Pandora is a relatively Earth-loke planet. There's no way you would risk destroying that when you can just use conventionally strategies to build a modern civilisation from scratch on top of it. The key thing is this story is the exploitation of the natural world and the Greed and Hubris of powerful people, and the ignorance and weak-mindedness of those who follow them. The story is about the bravery and courage of those who leave that life to pursue a more humble and meaningful way of life that isn't driven by materialism.
@@corneliusmaze-eye2459 You know, bombing a single mountain range wouldn’t destroy a whole planet/moon. If Pandora was that delicate, the landing we saw in 2 would have shattered the crust. And those mountains hold no value to the humans. If turning one small patch of the planet to glass means getting rid of the main force getting in their way, then the Humans would do it without flinching.
Did the Humans ever mention that they use antimatter for their travel? I genuinely don’t remember. Cool concept regardless.
Either way, antimatter shouldn't be THAT rare. We've been able to make it in real life since 2010s in Atom Smashing labs. Not in massive amounts, obviously, but still. I have to imagine by the 2160s, Humans could make the material quite easily. Modern science just can't figure out any use for the stuff at present.
Even so, why would they need to use antimatter weapons for the orbital bombardment? They'd just need to do what war satellites do in the real world and drop giant metal poles from orbit to shatter the mountains apart one by one. And, again, I'd have to imagine that the Humans would have even better versions of that by the 2160s, ones built with large enough warheads to leave no survivors.
I get what the message of the movie is supposed to be, but the realistic situation of a stone-age civilization fighting a spacefaring race is that the stone-age race would get wiped out before a single battle could even be fought.
Not The Whale reference plus JACK AND ROSE sinking in the background 😭😭😭🤣
I'll say this again...I'm so glad you guys watch these movies so I don't have to, and yet I feel like I did after watching your videos. Keep up the good work!
That part with Brendan Fraser killed me 😂
Hey How It Should Have Ended Channel, Will Have How Black Panther: Wakanada Forever Should Have Ended Soon?
Probably the next one
I have a feeling due to the overlap of blue water people, that there'll be an Avatar 2 reference/cameo somewhere in there.
i almost crye in the intro, love the thic 44 hat
This sure felt like a classic HISHE, quick action sequences, everyone yelling and making the sound effects and whoever added the Titanic bit deserves a raise.
