No unboxing. No gear reviews. You’ve figured out the formula for what us fellow photographers actually want to watch. I think that I can speak for all of us when I say please keep doing what you’re doing. It’s perfect. We love it!
Quickest way to make money with street photography:
Selling your camera🥁✨
is it just me or is the quality of the video much better?
great production and great video as always paulie. can't wait to see you in manila!!
Loved it Paulie! So inspired by your channel and all the great advice/info you put out. Your lil community is really sweet and supportive.
My Ask: As a woman who is getting into street photography, would luv luv luv to see more women street photographers! Thank u!
“I get depressed if I don’t take photo.”
Me everyday. Streaming services can’t even cure/distract my depression. Only making photos.
The make money question - like the man said, it's about a sandwich if you're lucky. Hey, people go HIKING or PLAY GOLF or SKI or SAIL, etc and they enjoy all the benefits (mental health, etc) without expecting to make $$. Mostly, photography is the same. (I guess wedding photographers make some $)
Thank you, Paulie B, this series is fun and interesting.
This!
That it. It's hard to make my wife understand why I or anyone else 23:20 this form of photography. We all get outside, walk, and meet people. Oh, and sometimes, we capture some amazing moments in our photography.
Great video as always! As a street photographer, I make money from my day job. Also Chris Voss, Camillo and Alex look like they're in a 90's grunge band.
In Mexico City there are a lot of good street photographers that follow your work 🇲🇽
Can you recommend some? I mostly follow new york street photographers, due to paulie‘s videos, but i‘d love to see more work from people in different cities.
I wish I could photograph in Mexico rn it’s so lively
Seconding can you recommend some? Or any groups down there? I go to Mexico city a lot but can never find other photographers there
I have spent lots of time in Mexico City and its my fav for street photography...so many interesting people and environments.
I think it's a very grounded answer to put it out there: do street photography not for money, but because you like to do it. When you take out that expectation, you are set free. You are liberated to make images for the sake of feeding your soul
Perfectly said!
👍👍👍
Godstomper shirt 🔥
I love the community you have there, something I think we having missing here. Great Q&A.
Another great video by the great Paulie B !
No bs, no snobbery, just pure inspiration and love for the craft ! I love it !
Great video, as always. Feeling happy to find your channel not so long ago. Keep up the good work!
I really enjoy all the content that you put out, it really helps me think about my process and makes me think more about why I make photos, and not to get wrapped up in what camera/lens you are using because it really dose not matter.
Street photography is the most challenging especially when shooting manual. It has become an addiction to me that I cannot wait until I get off work to just get on the street and take pictures of strangers. Something about documenting life feels nostalgic and almost as if I’m holding a Time Machine in my hands that whenever I want I’m able to preserve a tiny fraction of time in that frame with people. Street photographers are the most respected because it’s extremely hard to get a fundamental photo you have peoples movements, light constantly changing, background, layers, expressions, trying to capture the decisive moment is a fraction of a second. It’s the most rewarding when done right. If you want to make money of course you have to build up your work by truly knowing the fundamentals and having people wanting to pay you for the work you created. Today it’s much easier to publish your own book, CZcams, social media etc. The legends are respected and loved for creating photography that is extremely difficult.
Recently found your channel and im addicted to the walkie talkies and q and a's! Looking forward to the Seattle ep!!
Thank you for your work 🙏🏻
Thanks for the Q and A! Really enjoyed it. Yup, your day job keeps you enjoying streetphotography. Its nice to have a job that allows you to do street photography in terms of time and resources.
Hi Paulie my name is Marcelino and thank you so much for the inspiration that you do with your Walkie Talkie. The thing that has helped me is that I do shoot digital but I was going through a hard time health wise and was down in the dumps. Watched your youtube videos and I am now taking my camera out everyday. LIke you mentioned if you don't take your gear out with you than you loose you touch to be creative and now not only am I taking my camera out but I'm having fun with it. Thank you again.
I would definitely recommend Greece and especially urban Greece for street photography. As so much of life takes place out in the streets, it is very reminiscent of 1950's New York/Paris etc.
What city in Greece would you recommend?
Athens
@@dantebowen2781 Thessaloniki as it is large enough to be interesting but compact enough to navigate easily and less swamped by tourism than Athens
@@teacherdudelove you for this ❤
Yo Paulie! Diggin the content man! fresh perspectives :) keep up the grind!
Its a good thing i saw this episode its like everyone is here different point of view means a lot to me to continue street photography keep it up guys especially Paulie
What a great bunch of guys Paulie. I have some friends that really need to watch this video, especially @12:55, @14:55...
If you want to be an artist who is free to do your art the way you want to do it, then don’t rely on your art to pay your bills. In other words, have a job that will support your lifestyle; that way no one dictates how you should do your art. Otherwise, those that pay, have a say, and they will tell you how they think you should do your art.
So true
Coming from being a musician and specifically using only standalone samplers, It totally is a stylistic choice whatever camera you use. I love my Ricoh GRiiix and it’s super fun to use and inspires me daily.
I just found these videos, and they are so inspiring. Please keep going
Paulie, you're vibin' today. Keep at it!
Paulie, you are an absolute delight. ❤
Loved this video so much! Thank you🤘📷 Looking forward to Walkntalk outside of Manhattan and the US as well!
I liked this format a lot
DOPE!! i started shooting less than a year ago and i like the shooters on your channel. My style is candid, freestyle i guess. Watching so many content creators sell so much product and im just here to get pointers on shooting. after less than of shooting photos, i became overwhelmed. So, i realized i enjoy just shooting my way for the very sake of FREEDOM or Self! (Creativity)
There were plenty of women photographers out shooting the mermaid parade. Would be great to see more of them on your channel. Unfortunately, I had to skip this year but I know at least 10 women who were out there shooting that day.
Gg Paulie ❤️🔥always love to see new content from you
17:53 Double your time is great advice 👏🏽
Loved this video. A lot of good wisdom. Street photographers are a strange, small group of photographers who reveal fleeting moments in our world and how we humans interact in it.
Love the video. ❤ Keep making these good videos.📷👍🏻
Loving your content. Keep it coming!
Do you always carry your camera with you even on days your not planning a shoot?
Currently my favorite video on CZcams. Inspiring. Motivating. Appreciate everyone’s thoughts!
Paulie, I scratched my glasses up too! So I decided to pick up a diopter for my M6. Expensive but totally worth it! :-)
To the guy at 1:21 I love you choice of camera! One of my top favorites
Brilliant watch 🥳🔥❤️🏆
Dope video, so cool that nyc is big enough you can just run into random photographers and chat with them. It would be super cool if there was a discord or Reddit community for people to find other photographers in their city and make friends
Wish i knew you guys would be out there, i would have stopped by and did some shooting with you gents, my M6 needs to get out there. Nice one here Paulie.
add Canada to the list Paulie B !
Cool video, i wish there were more questions about composition :)
Love the channel and content
I want to be like you guys. I’m so inspired.
I don’t care for gear talk so I enjoy this, and I have no interest in going back to film. That was my youth and I love digital. But I still love this style of video, walking and talking. Lovely.
Dope episode.
If you ever consider coming to Louisville for a walkie talkie, let me know. I’ll be your worst episode ever. I suck at pictures, I won’t know what to say and I never know what street im on. Haha
Met a couple of film photographers in Paris recently who were also huge supporters of the channel- so definitely make plans for Paris 🇫🇷 2:28
International walkie talkies gonna be sooo sick
Always enjoy these man. I don’t watch many photography videos because most feel like a commercial. Yours doesn’t and I appreciate that! Always coming through with the good stuff.
PS
What bag are you using?
Haha. I guess maybe Paulie didn’t make his video enough of a commercial. Or just a very subtle one for the camera bag.
DUDE. I'd love for you to come to Nashville and explore the scene here :)
I think my biggest problem is that i am such a nervous person in general, that i probably give off that nervous energy sometimes. In return, i start to feel self conscious about that and get even more nervous because i don't want to been seen as such and make others uncomfortable. I am trying to get myself hyped up for the next time i can hit the actual city streets though. I have managed to break through a few times and i know i can keep doing that until confidence overpowers the nerves. On a side note: i chickened out on a really great shot a month ago and i think about it every day. It really does haunt you when you miss a shot lol
Keep going. Conquering this fear will also make you more comfortable in social situations (talking to girls, strangers). There are ancillary benefits to changes you make to yourself.
@@aquilifergroup thanks for the push. It's funny you say that because of how true it is. I've been shooting for a while and I've noticed it has definitely helped me be more social. I just have those full days or moments where I freeze up, and those are such a bummer lol
Interesting 🎥 keep pushing guys
I'd love to see you come out to the LA and do some walkie talkies out here. It's pretty different from a lot of other cities for street photography and I'd love to see some of the photographers working out here!
definitely doing LA
nice ones !!!!
You're you tube channel is great !
Shout out to the homie in the Godstomper shirt
Stay punk
@@vikinglustmachine I'm playing a fest with them next month lol
I always watch your videos this comment is for the algorithm (keep shooting bro)
Gooooood Video. Jim
I shot film back in the 1990's, and i have no desire to go back to film. Early Canon cameras have a film-like qualities, so i use them frequently when I feel nostalgic.
Really thinking about starting CZcams. Inspired by your videos. I currently support Artist with my photography.
Haha nice I saw my question. Free stay for you here in Mexico City.
You should come to Europe sometime. Rome, Paris London, Florence, Lisbon, Berlin all amazing street photography locations, ❤
have been to a handful of cities in Europe with my wife but would love to go for the purpose of photographing.
@PaulieB Yeah, I know what you mean. It's hard to combine both on the same trip. Most of the best street photo locales are often off the beaten track too! Loving your videos and walkie talkies, epic and pretty unique right now. Thank you!
thanks, that helps a lot
Also come to Boston, MA
Come to Portland! Be dope too take photos with you bro or i gotta come to NY.
The Leica was so close to getting splashed at the end of the video
love from jersey
let me know when you're in chicago! I'm a wedding photographer but enjoy some street photography as well
Hi paulie , i love all of your street video, i want to know wht camera ur use for video shooting and the mic for interview.,, 🙏 thank you..

thanks
If you moved to digital, what would you shoot with?
Come on over to Thailand Bro
yeee bro come in London!!!
I'll be out there for sure!
@@PaulieB cool! cool! I love your videos, I discovered so many photographers 📸📸
Tokyo next:)
Come do a walkie talkie in Sacramento! There's alot of awesome street photographers here!
Come to Canada brother
I was very Lucky, i Made a couple of nice street pics and since some month I am a paid photographer now :)) but as my side job. I have my main job since 15 years and I shoot since 2014, but very hard since 2 years and it pays off. ♥️ sometimes you just need to post some nice portraits and content beside of street 🔥
Didnt have to throw shade on the X100V 😅
I think the comment was just saying X100V was (or maybe still is) a youtube algorithm gold mine.
Anyone else think the two people in the background stretching would’ve been a good pic to capture?
If the film bubble popped... I am curious when it started. Genuine question, i am just getting into film after over 30 years away.
❤
From the money standpoint. Yes you can make some money, but that is going to be work. And that means you aint working for yourself, but you are working for your client. You might get lucky with a few good shoots once in a while, but most of the time it will be shoots that your client wants you to take. Its pretty hard to satisfy your own desire of doing things the way you want to do, because the client is the one you need to satisfy. Doing it full time drains mentally. Doing it once in a while, well it might not be bad, it offers a certain different experience. But doing it constantly takes all the fun away.
fire
Cutting hair 💯📸
Hey do you shoot using zone focusing while on the street?
I wonder when Pau Clavero will be in your videos, in fact I think he's in Los Angeles
Shit I was in Chicago shooting the air and water show too. I wish I would have run into you down there.
Bring the Walkie Talkie to the DMV.
Waiting for a walkie talkie out here in LA
If you’re ever in Cleveland, Ohio reach out 🤙🏾
what was floating in the ocean behind you at the outro?
You ever think about coming up to Toronto?
Love your work Are you filipino
Glad to see that for once you can be featured on this show without a leica M6
wym only 1 of the past 5 walkie talkie videos features someone using the M6
@@PaulieB My sentence was intended as a joke, I don't really care what people are shooting (but boy I would love to own a Leica).
Good job on the one featuring Trevor, I really enjoyed it !
cool vid, how much talent in one place?
Who's holding the video camera when Paulie's in shot?
