I so relate to Christine’s story. I am a domestic violence survivor and have dealt with chronic health issues and extensive PTSD for many years. Gardening has saved my life in many ways, and I’ve been able to share that joy with other people, including women coming out of situations like me. I feel at peace and whole when I am out in the garden. It makes the healing possible. 💜

I can identify with Christine having dealt with undiagnosed autoimmune issues myself. Gardening is what saved me, my health, my mind, my soul. I still struggle health wise but gardening brings me so much joy that life is easier to bare on those rougher days.

I’ve also had lupus like symptoms,and was similarly struggling, and was so defeated when they couldn’t find a diagnosis,and gardening has helped me so much . I think the process of taking care of something else that you can see the benefits of pay off with the beauty of your garden , takes my mind off health issues and also makes me stronger.❤️

I love Christine's story, I went to work at a little cal nursery several years ago and being around so much of Gods beauty daily helped me so much to heal emotionally and mentally. So glad you planted with Christine, Jenny, and showed us everything is OK between you two. I had been wondering. Had I missed a show that explained why she had left? Was she sick? Sicker? I related to her so well because I have auto immune diseases as well. Did she, God forbid, steal money from the business? (Happened to some friends of mine with a long time employee) To see Christine and you so happy together is to know all is good. Soo glad.
And thanks for the health and life update Christine! I pray your health continues to improve.
I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder in December… I can only walk using a walker (or a cane in good days), I have constant tremors, can’t hold a drink or spoon, double vision, and lots of other life changing issues. While I was in bed for months I listened to gardening channels constantly. I have always loved gardening, I was raised by my Nannie and she was a master 🌱! Gardening looks different for me this year… I try and go out there a couple times per day and just walk in the dirt (or sit while pulling weeds if I can). My husband is really supportive and I still have some tests coming up in July so I’m hopeful for a treatment as well ❤ we have horses on about 5 acres, 3 dogs, and 3 teenagers who begrudgingly help 😂.
I’m an artist as well, or I was… I did pet portraits for the last 10 years. I’m glad I did it when I could… holding a pencil is hard now. But I do have ups and downs so on the “ups” I do as much as I can, and rest when I can’t.

Horses are amazing therapy as well as gardening. When our son Caleb died 15 years ago at 19, our daughters were 16 and 13. My husband purchased 5 horses for the girls and Calebs friends could go riding every Sunday afternoon before supper.
For me it was the dirt therapy. Caleb had an artistic eye and while riding bulls, fishing, hunting, etc were his lives, he also helped me design what I might want to do here or there with the landscaping.
