I love how Jay has acknowledged Ed Welburn as the patriarch of GM design. Ed Welburn is the ultimate student of GM design heritage! He is the curator of Mitchell design! His passion for getting it right is beyond our expectations. I'm a big GM critic, but Ed's vision is the true course of GM.
Ed Welburn brought class and taste to GM design. Right now I'd say the two best car designers today are Ed Welburn (who recently retired from GM) and Ian Callum of Jaguar.

In my opinion this is the last Corvette. This 2020 so-called Corvette is not a Corvette it’s a European super car. It has nothing to do with the rich history that came before. As far as I’m concerned the Corvette ended in 2019 with this model.

These are great cars. Now you can buy one for around $35-39,000.
Not with z51 and 3LT packages. I have been pricing them every day. They are in the low to upper 40s. The 6 speed autos are being over priced because the 8 speeds are having so many problems. The 6 speeds are flawless with zero problems so they are in demand.
If only ***2021***! I really wanna get one kf these.

Hard to believe it was revealed 10 years ago. I remember how cool and how much of a change the Corvette looked then. Now today the c8 Corvette is even more crazy with the design, but really cool as well.
This vid is the Reason why I bought a ‘19 ZR1 manual with my name in it. It’s just cool. I look at it all the time with my 1969 427 stingray next to it and GM nailed this C7. 20 years from now will still be cool.
This car was revealed on January 13, 2013, a memorable date 1/13/13. I remember watching this video over and over again, along with the official reveal. I couldn't get enough of this car. The only thing I kept waiting for was a simple video of seeing it being driven, and maybe an exhaust note.

I just love the manner of speaking that the fella from GM has, just a perfect voice for narration. I picked up a 2014 just a few months ago with only 16,000 MI. Blue with the smoked top and chrome wheels. Just a beautiful beautiful car

Wow. This Corvette does remind me of the good old days! Bringing back the STINGRAY is a good move. I love the StingRay logo on the side too. Also, it just looks Stingray inside and out. Kind of like the proper place to be. The evolution of the Mako Shark to this is completely correct. Love the Corvette, AGAIN!
this is a car on it's own... no car compares to it... I have one and wouldn't trade it to any other sports car whether it's American or European.... it is also less expensive then other sports car for it's value

I saw this car yesterday in person blue and black and this car is beautiful it also happen to be a stingray 133 of 500 black and brown interior it was breath taking

***** A hellcat is 60k but dealers boost up the price to 90k for its demand and thats if you can even find one. I was comparing it to a stingray not a Zo6.

This is a gorgeous car all around, but my favorite new feature are the taillights! Absolutely stunning! And this one is also my favorite color configuration - red with the black wheels.
I still think the C-5 is the best looking vette. imho.

I saw one on the road today. I've never been much of a fan of Corvettes, but I have to say this new one is fantastic looking. The first 'vette I would consider buying...not that I will ever have that kind of money. LOL.
I love how Jay is very carefully kept in-check by GM here. He's not allowed ANY criticism. It's like a press conference at a Hillary Clinton Q&A where they have to stick to the script.. OR ELSE!
Its not just GM, I have never heard him say anything negative about any car. He only gives positive feedback.

Anders Kristensen Though i agree, Hammond from Top Gear stated you couldn't buy a Challenger in standard its first few years.. which is insulting if you ask me(I dont know the legitimacy of that statement but take their word for it).. The corvette never went away and still is the pinnacle of American Sports cars, make the argument for the Viper and I'll show you an idiot.. this is the best thing we have to offer as a true "super-car"(the Z06 version that is) and the world will choose to love it or hate it.. but that will never take away the fact that this thing can do what cars 3-5 times as much.. The new Hell-Cats are awesome and i do hope people do love them as much as this, but this our 911 its our car that can never be taken away from us, and yes some Europeans will laugh at that nobody from the U.S will
This design took a lot of time to grow on me but now I really like it! The build quality and engineering are head and shoulders above the last gen car. Still think the Stingray concept car would have been more stunning as a production car though.

The C7 Corvette Stingray is gorgeous fantastic styling, like Corvette always do, superb performance and technology....i'll take one in red with black leather interior, but with red accents on the seats , doors and wrap around cockpit. Cooolllll!!!!

This is the first corvette that is actually a really nice car. Before I was able to say "no i dont like corvettes at all" but after this. Good job chevy.

I've loved corvettes until the C4 came out, like seriously Chevy you thought that a literal box on wheels would look good as a car. But slowly and surely they've started to re-integrate that sexy styling and curves everyone loved about the C3, and now my dream has come true with a 73 stingray that accelerates twice as fast!

I remember 7-8 years ago how people said GM killed the corvette even though the C7 up to the C8 were highly sought after.
My dad gave me his 2014 corvette so I can trade it in. Carmax offered me 45 grand cause it has... 11k on it. Very low mileage like people wanted it. Probably more expensive if it wasn't an Automatic.
This Corvette Guy (I think his name was Ed) seems like a really nice person! And he knows his way around the car. Sometimes Jay's guests are a bit dull, but he was definetely a great appearance. Hopefully he will be back on the show!!
I am staying in Indy right now and there is one of those in the hotel parking lot. Great looking car. Also a Hot Wheels Camaro with manufacturer tags on it
My company built equipment to assemble and test the gauges and other interior components for the C7. I had been watching the digital gauges and when it got to the point where the customer came in and did production run-offs and I saw the Corvette logo appear I was shocked. I wasn't expecting them to be in an American car.

I have a 2013 bespoke Z06 I factory ordered. 1LZ. After I put Michelin PSS tires on...well..the new C7 is nice. But, it's not enough to entice me away from my C6Z. After nearly 6 years and over 63Kmi, I'm still in love. What can I say? And I've been averaging over 24 mpg! When I was a kid, a 427 was, maybe 8...
I'm impressed! Great overall design, the interior is finally up to date and well appointed. Power is plentiful as you'd expect. The only negative thought I have is that the rear end looks like they designed it for a new Firebird / Trans Am before they dumped Pontiac.
