Welcome to another aluminum boat build from #brigadeboats . In this video I will give you an in depth walk thru of a recently completed one of a kind fishing machine! Many hours and details in this project, we hope you enjoy the finished product.
This project is unique in a few ways... One, the boat was built and this video filmed, on site at #tbnationoutdoors with the help of my friend Nate. Two, this boat belonged to Tim Adkins which tragically died on the job. His good friend, Shawn, acquired Tim's boat and brought it to us to build in his honor. This boat build is dedicated to Tim!
May your tiny boat builds be great.

I plan on converting one of them Jon boats to be my poor man's drift boat to row mainly. I can careless about the fishing part but my broke ass doesn't want a kayak but it would be cool to row with lights, marine radio and just go to town here in Alabama.

I just got the opportunity to buy a 15’ Jon boat (picked up yesterday). I have been addicted to your videos and will be trying my own build soon. I usually work on my own (cars, motorcycle, house). You have given me great ideas! Thank you for all the walkthroughs and detailed info!

Love your channel and work. I'm looking to buy a boat to go fishing with my 12 yr old son. Can you offer any advice on buying a used boar, what to look for, models / years to look for that are worth fixing / restoring? Any particular features or things to look for? Also - what do you charge to do a restoration if we find something worth working on?? Thanks so much.

I know I’m not the guy but I got some information. Me and my dad ( Me 16 Dad 54). Recently did a couple rebuilds together to use for fishing. I have 2 primary builds I use. I got a 12 foot Vhull aluminum boat that we fully converted into a bass boat, and we also have a 16 ft Alumacraft bass boat. Depending on what you were looking to do I have two different recommendations. If you were going to be going to smaller lakes, ponds or just anybody of water we are not going to be going around the lake or there is restrictions on trolling motors only then definitely go for a 12 or 14 foot boat and do a build similar to this. If you’re going to be doing tournaments or going on bigger rivers or lakes definitely look into investing in a bass boat even if it’s not the highest quality just fine to mean that might work. As far as repairing goes, don’t buy something you know is gonna need major repairs. In the end it’s better to spend more money on something that needs less work because it is way more reliable. And as far as models and brands it doesn’t really matter as much as you think, just find something with a shape or design you like. Another thing to consider is motors. If your going to buy a full sized bass boat, the motor is just as important as the boat. Make sure it’s in as good or better condition than the boat it’s self. It can really pay off and give you a lot less headaches. That’s about all I got to say, good luck and don’t spend to much money😉

Do you have a link for the black edge protector around the inside of lids and the cooler?

Hey cousin! Man you and Nate killed this build. It's so awesome to see how your techniques have evolved over the years. I just love your craftsmanship. Tim's family will be so proud of your efforts. I hope to meet you and the rest of the crew someday.

Anthony I’ve been trying to reach you about doing some work on my nephews boat. It needs new wood and carpet. He has seen your videos and wants to talk to you about fixing his boat.

Sorry, I have a hard time keeping up with the comments these days. I'm currently booked over a year out and am not at this time accepting any deposits on projects nor quoting any new ones. My channel has blessed me with a lot of work and I want to remain solo for the time being and continue to work on the boats I currently have on my list. Only so fast I can go on them. Appreciate your support and reaching out, if still interested feel free to direct message me on Facebook at Brigade Boats page.
