- This is probably one of the most practical but very sexy jon boat buyilds I've done to date. This jon boat to bass boat conversation is a Lowe 1436 flat bottom. This was meant to be a budget build but ended up to be more of a practical build. It's practical because the finished product turned out awesome but didn't break the bank.

I appreciate the time and effort you take to explain everything about your builds. From the tools to the material to the step by step process. I traded got me a 1436 about a year ago maybe but haven't had time to do anything to it. I'm hoping soon I can slow my work schedule down to bring it home and start the build. This build is perfect for what I want to do. The only thing I would be adding is 2 Garmin graphs that I purchased. I may just go with the 2 trolling motors I have because it will likely just be a pond and reservoir fishing boat. Thanks for sharing and helping others achieve their goals of completing a DIY build bro. You Rock!

Man. This is just awesome. Your builds get better and better. My son has a jon boat and he doesn't know what to do with it. There is tons of content on youtube, but i sent him this video and said that this channel is a tutorial on jon boat upgrades, from low budget up. I'm thinking at some point you are going to build an entire boat from scratch, and i'll be there to watch it. Thanks for what you do.

Nice build! I would get rid of the wingnuts though, you can get loose connections and have the battery terminals and wires melt. Happened to me before!

I found a 1436 little aluminum boat for about 600 bucks I’d like to mod it
Do you have a problem with the water sloshing out the livewell
I haven't run the boat around with the livewell filled to know, but I did customize to tote lid to be a barrier and sealed it up with silicone.

@@Huntersprojects I'd assume he is doing more builds for channel content and doesn't need 5 boats for himself . But sell it and use the money to buy the parts for the next build series of videos
@@Huntersprojectsalso if he gets free parts from sponsors to advertises their boat parts as compensation then the smartest thing to do is do the builds cheap using their parts for content and advertising for them then sell the boat you only got a grand or two of ypur own money in for triple that's pretty good business model if you ask me
