Wow!
Why do the homeowners always seem so reluctant to make changes to sell a home they no longer want?
We sold our house a little over a year ago and the first thing we did was de-clutter. It takes time to go through your stuff and either donate, trash, or sell but it is the most important thing to do when you put your house up for sale. De-cluttering makes it a lot easier to move, too. Now I am trying to KEEP our new home clutter free, simply because it is so nice and relaxing to have a place for everything and everything in its place.
It was the hardest part of my own move. I hate getting rid of my treasures lol. But I donated every single thing I was leaving behind
I feel it's vital that sellers realize that buyers only want to buy the house; they don't want to buy your lives. They have their own.
Which is just as well because that turned out a Nightmare In Beige
But some people can’t see past clutter or bright colors, it makes it hard to see your own things in a house that has colors that don’t match or meet their own decor. The people viewing the house in the video all mentioned the colors as they walked in.
People buy a lifestyle that’s why staging is so valuable!
@@vickyhibbs It was a blank slate to put their own stamp on, which was the opposite of what it was before.
the original color that Sofie said she WOULDNT have chosen is one they have used COUNTLESS times! WTH??!! I think sometimes she just wants to find something wrong!
She’s a single parent taking cate of 4 children of very different ages. I think she’s done a great job of having a lovely home for her family. I would wish her every success in her new home
Do you know her personally?
Lovely? 😳
It was said she had 2 children and 2 nephews staying with them to attend to go to a nearby college; she herself only had 2 girls…. Does et say why she is selling…
First I don't know how she does it period! Trying to declutter a small house with 5 people in it seems impossible. Where will they put all the stuff while the decluttering and painting goes on? No body ever addresses that on these shows. I know why she hasn't painted. Even if she wanted to. It's very difficult to find the time to move the furniture when there's no place to move it to, and then paint. Though those two boys could put in a dent in the painting quickly. School doesn't just stop so I can really understand the hopelessness in her situation.
She can’t sell it, asks for help, then defends her choices and gets defensive. Got to love it! Clueless
My first thought exactly.
Did you listen? She even said her decision had been foolish. I think you need to experience her life before being so judgmental.
And after she bought a new home no less
My husband is a person who would look beyond the colour and furniture and see the possibilities. He amazes me all the time with his ideas.
I don’t know why the home owner is fighting against all the ideas for changes. She’s selling the house not keeping it. Who cares if the wall is lifeless. Let that be someone else’s problem
She probably would have been less bothered if it had been approached as saying this color won't appeal to everyone as opposed to saying it looks like boiled cabbage. Starting off the tour like that would put anyone in a bad mindset for accepting advice.
@@miciah3676 Yes I agree, I thought that was quite rude and uncalled for.
The price of all the contractor’s work is going to come out of the sellers profit. Do you have any idea of the cost? The corner closet is easily $500+. I do hope the new furniture can be used at the new house.
mufasa: It is her problem. Nobody will buy a mess. I'm always amazed at how many people can't look at the space and not the awful colors and mess. People want turn key, just walk in. They don't want projects like painting the walls. No projects. So this house didn't sell. Buyers don't want to buy problems unless, of course, the seller lowers the price. Who's going to do that?
its her ego
Sophie always has sound advice. And when Anthony pulls up to a house, you know some great things are coming!
If I could get that level of help preparing my home, I would have nothing to say but "wow, well done, thank you!"
Homeowners always say that they need to buy a bigger house for more space.....get rid of all the stuff....thus more space!
I know, what clutter!!
Lol yes.
4 kids in a sm home she just needed space planning
Example an l shaped sofa would’ve been better than 3 sofas etc
Usually live like this all the time, so new house will get cluttered too!!!!
@@karencap1690 Very Sad, to be teaching your children to be slobs!!
I can't get over how sloppy people always think they're not.
Love
The homeowner is completely unclear on the concept.
I agree
That's why she needed an expert to show her the real problem. I love this host though, did she say her name was Sophie?? She's honest but at the same time...she's really sweet, so the owner was not offended.
You these shows actually want the “before” to be extra bad and purposely make things worse than they are by adding clutter and untidying the beds. They probably even added leaves to the table to make it feel more cramped.
As someone who recently bought a house, I really appreciated the houses I looked at that didn't have the owners' personal clutter everywhere. I spent maybe 2 minutes in those houses. The one I bought I knew was "the house" the second I walked in the door. The family of 5 was still living here (they were NOT here for the showing) but they had packed up or put away all their personal items, so the house was very tidy and clean with minimal furnishings. Even the closets and drawers had been organized to emphasize their usefulness. I know they put a lot of effort into making it look like a space anyone would want to live in. And it paid off! We saw the house and put an offer on it the same morning it went on the market because I knew it wasn't going to last. So decluttering has got to be rule number one when selling a house! (Especially in a case like this when they should have already been half packed since they were moving anyway?! Sheesh.) Also, remove all personal photos because those houses made me feel like I was intruding which made me uncomfortable. So there's definitely a psychology to staging houses that sell fast!
you looked in peoples closets and drawers...wow thats intrusive!
Sandra WestleyUK, I also looked at an apartment today, and I looked in kitchen draws to see is it cutlery or spices, you need to know, and what quality the draws are also how large the fitted fridge is, you’ve got to live in the place, I also had a viewing of my home and just left it to the agent to guide them round, all stuff and rubbish gone. And the people that viewed it made an offer over the asking price, I also have 8 more couples on Saturday viewing the property.
What’s with the wine bottles in the window? Unless, you have a bar I would just hide them. Tacky!
The entire house makeover was very 2000's because that's when the show was made, and I believe the wine bottle thing was a trend at the time. Disliked the, "new" wall art as well as a lot of things they did, personally, but at least it looked loads better than before!
Yes indeed!
@@everyoneknowsitslindy6074 I remember these trends. It was ugly then, and it's still ugly now. Good riddence!
Its very interesting when someone’s way of doing something isn’t working...they want to keep on doing the same thing and expecting different results...
Oh dear,I wouldn't dream of selling a house in that condition. This owner is totally blind !! She may love that green and pink but honestly....it's quite yuk !! Great improvement 👌
She has really bad taste the house is a mess
She doesnt seem to understand she is selling her house and her taste is not the priority 😋
It takes a while to swich your thinking over to it not being your house anymore.
She was just making defensive excuses constantly
Caper Cat when you end up on a show like this, it’s telling us she is close minded and a little arrogant.
Maybe she expects new owners also like her favourite shade of green.
I think she is still attached to the house mentally and wanted it to remain exactly the same.
Sister has a lot of pride in her house but sometimes it’s time to let go...
I'd have kept the wardrobe in the master bedroom, built it up to the ceiling, and painted it the same colour as the room. And, instead of a square dining table, I think a round one would have been a better choice.
Better yet, built to the ceiling, and sliding frameless mirrored doors. That way the doors don’t open into the limited area in the room and it reflects light and space. I’ve done it many times and it always works when space is at a premium.
I agree about the wardrobe...that little thing in the corner is just not enough space for a couple of people....silly concept
I agree about the wardrobe, but using the existing dining table saved money.
... A big round table would work much better, as the one commenter stated. Square furniture in square rooms doesn't offer any " softness" or a cozy feeling . Should have kept the wardrobe, paint it out, to match the wall colour, and re- arranged the room.
That was not a good idea to remove it.
It always amazes me how people don’t see clutter. It would even be some better if it was organized.
Hahaha...'gorgeous slip covers!?!' LOL!🤣😅🤭
My son and his wife just sold their house(they're buying my old house. I retired and now live in what was my secondary home). They were lucky, since their house is located across the street from a newly built nursing school(they lived there for 23 yrs and hated all the noise, cars that the new building generated) and the houses in their area are being snapped up by investors for rental properties. He listed it and the next morning the realtor called him with a cash offer, just from the pictures, no conditions(before it even hit the market online)! They closed on it 25 days later(2 days ago and are now able to pay cash for my house, no mortgage, with a nice nest egg left over):)
It’s mad how quickly houses sell in Canada and the US. Here in Ireland it can take months and with the virus it’s taking even longer!
They were lucky.
@@fmcm7715 the Toronto market has been ON FIRE for ten plus years.....my partner is Canadian and owns a home in Leaside, Toronto. Homes in his neighborhood sold for about $4-500 thousand twelve years ago. Comparable homes are now going for $1.5-2 million!!! The homes all sell within a week and most sell over asking. It's insane. I cannot believe that so many folks are able to afford a SMALL million-plus home. I live in New York State on the Ontario border, about an hour's drive to Leaside. Homes here sell for a tenth to a quarter the price.....of course, it's not Canada, though.
Totally surprised she didn't already begin packing
At least going thru what to keep for new house vs what needed to be sold or donated? I've had to go thru that process and yes it is very difficult to let go, and let God.
Ya know, I was surprised by that as well. When I started looking at houses I started packing things I wouldn't need right away. Like I wasn't going to need out of season clothes, books (I have A LOT of those), kitchenware I only use when entertaining, etc. I definitely wasn't at packed as I wanted to be when I got to the two week point, but I felt a lot less stressed and rushed cause I spaced it out more. It also meant I had time to go through and get rid of stuff I didn't want/need in my next house.
And major decluttering!
Me too! When I started to check for a new condo I started to get out the way out of season things, mementos, the books etc. I stored everything in my sister's basement. You are going to have to do boxes anyway at some point!
Yeah, I moved in 2020, and we decided to move in January, didn't move til July, and part of the reason things showed well is that we had half our stuff packed in labeled boxes in the garage. And that way it could be a neat pile that didn't hide the fact that it was a decent two-car garage. And this included packing all the books that indicated our hobbies and our minority religion. Did I LIKE it, no. But I wanted the house to not put off anyone who wasn't like us.
I remember this show! I used to watch it all the time! I guess it served me well as later on in my life I've successfully staged and sold my own homes. Fun to revisit these episodes.
She needs a tour of houses like hers that are decorated in a more modern style to see how spacious & welcome they look. That looks like time stood still in 1980 .
What amazes me is that people are going to move, but they have never made a start to organise there own stuff. Is it just they think on moving day a wand will be waved and everything will pack itself.
We have moved several times and the movers for one move arrived before we expected. We were apologetic that we weren't ready and that led to some conversation. They told us it's common to arrive and find people have nothing packed. They were actually thrilled with our house.
Yeah I start packing like months before moving out.
I didn't even know I was going to move, and I started sorting and packing, six months before I decided to leave. It made moving so much easier, with almost everything done.
After we'd lived in our house for 25 years, it took most of the summer to clear out the attic. Somethings got
donated, and lots went to trash. At the end we had a load of stuff for the garbage truck out at the curb. We left a case of beer at the end of the mess for the trash guys for after work.
Love the green , it isn’t the colour it’s the clutter
Any color can suffice if you know how to compliment your interior in it and knows how to be organize. That is the problem of hers, disorganized and too much clutter.
Yeh, the owner does not have the style she thinks she has.
Clutter and personal items are distracting! A potential buyer cannot get past that and see themselves there.
I don’t understand that. I’ve always used my imagination....
No matter what size of house they'll be in, it would always be cramped and cluttered if they will not hv the discipline of cleaning up and keeping everything organized.
And having smaller scale , less cluttered furniture.
She doesn't need bigger space, she needs konmari/swedish death cleaning consultant. . and she needs to make everyone discipline in cleaning after themselves
She's going to a bigger house to hoard more clutter which will make her new home seem smaller. They really just need to keep the place clean.
Or people could just relax and enjoy their homes and families. I don't have clutter but some people actually like it. Really.
They have far too much furniture and it’s messy.
My husbands grand parents had a total of 7 children in a 2 bedroom craftsman bungalow. The wife from what I hear kept the house spotless. It’s not impossible to keep a reasonably tidy home.
LoL, Konmari/ Swedish death cleaning, I've never heard of that method before, Sounds heavy duty
That corner "closet" in the master was totally useless.
And totally cheap looking and ugly! The armoire looked better and probably would have worked rearranging the room.
Now the next owner will be stuck with having to demolish it :/
If they're in this house for several weeks, where do the girls sleep?
True, but technically in some markets a room without a closet is not allowed to list as a bedroom. And resale without a closet can be very tough.
@@TheDriftwoodlover I hear ya. I just think that they could have built a much more functional closest for the same effort.
That corner closet did not make the master bedroom look bigger. I can't believe they actually added it to the room.
Its absolutely useless!
Totally unnecessary.
Those kids need to be told they must help you in this or you won't sell and the lodgers will be out of a place to live! Plus your finances will become MORE THAN complicated. 😨
Owner argues with the person how knows how to get the baby washed. No wonder the place is a tip and isn't moving.
Fantastic video. People become "too close to the emotional" where a home is considered. Good on her to go with the recommendations and sell her home. xx
That "custom closet" in the master is ricidulous. Now there's zero place to hang clothes! Better if they had built the shallowest closet possible along the shortest wall.
Actualy, I did that in my house. I had a tiny closet in one room, and a tiny shower through the wall in the master bedroom. Combining the two spaces gave me an awesome walk in shower. This is my retirement home, so I don’t have any long term worries about losing the closet from that bedroom.
@@LydiaHarper1019 why she had the armoire. it is what most people use to hide their clothing certainly in europe etc. but the removing it and making that tiny corner closet is ridiculous
@@Jessicaro People use to only have only a few changes of clothes. Also, a closet was considered a room and was thus taxed as such. Even very large expensive homes used wardrobes.
@@Jessicaro I agree 100%. That might work for a baby or small child but that's not a solution for a master bedroom. The closet should serve two adults & that property is located in a cold climate. Heavy clothing like coats, boots & an extra blanket all require additional space. Either build a shallow closet with sliding doors or assemble a floor to ceiling closet system from IKEA. For maximum use of space & visual appeal, place it along the shortest wall where owner had the wardrobe.
They should have built it all the way up to the ceiling: won't have to dust the top.
Oooo, I didn't like that homeowner's attitude. She was so defensive. If you call experts in to help you, you have to be willing to listen to their advice or stay in your house. That's always an option. The homeowner really needs to be more upbeat and less hostile..
Sold in 12 days that is awesome. Great do over.
Patricia was Patricia's problem.
😂😂😂😂😂💐
So so true!!
This is what I don't get with people, you're selling your house but you treat it as if you'll be staying there forever. If you're ready to sell, get rid of everything and sell the house as it is.
Dear lord. So glad I live in Texas where real estate is reasonable and spacious. I have closets bigger than the small bedroom. Awful woman arguing with the person trying to help her sell.
I live in London. UK houses can be that small and smaller. We are overpopulated and a small island so the contractors often build new homes using the legal minimum space allowed for one room. Most new apartments don't have parking either, you have to pay 20k extra for one.
This was filmed in 2008 so it would cost much more now. Toronto is an expensive place to buy property.
Indeed! Thank God for Texas! My jaw dropped when I heard the price of the house/ bungalow 😳
But then you have to live in Texas.
@@fleur3986 tjc
The seller was in total denial as to why it wasn't selling and could not accept criticism.
Defensive.
@Freedom Fighter agreed. They could’ve taken 70% of existing furniture and nearly all belongings out. Let each family member pack a suitcase (for under the bed) with clothing and a bin for other necessary belongings and pretend you’re visitors in your own house. No need to rent furnishings. Also, the corner closet was ridiculous; a built in along the entire wall where the armoire was would maximize storage and would leave enough room for two small bedside tables even if they’d had to mount swing arm lamps on the wall above. The host and contractors weren’t interested in doing anything right- just fast, and not particularly inexpensively at that.
@Freedom Fighter thirty six hundred to sell a $430k house....very reasonable
@Freedom Fighter yes but shes better off anyway, by quickly getting out of the first mortgage. I also thought the corner closet was dumb.
Omg! Owner is cringy Af omg
If she had already bought a new house why hadn't she moved before putting her house on the market? Would have made remodeling, staging and showing much easier!
They said her home would close in a few weeks.
So sorry, I heard her say she bought new house before selling and the house had been on market for 3 months but missed the host saying she closes in less than a month, rewatched and caught it this time. Thank you.
They said her closing date on the new house was still 30 days away, so she couldn't move out yet.
I wouldn't have had the nephews living there, not when the house is barely large enough for the whiny homeowner and her little girls. Let the young men live in student housing like all other college students around the world have to do, and free up space inside so potential buyers can at least see there's room for a little growth.
@@jb6712 so kick them out in the street? Did you consider they do not have the money for student housing? It isn't free. My brother lived with our Aunt and Uncle, who were kind enough to assist him in obtaining an education, in another state to be ale to afford college.
@@jb6712 the rebuild in the basement did awesome wonders for everyone, maybe the owner realized it was needed when she saw it finished?
Rent a storage and move all your excess into it until you can get in the new house!
Live like you're camping out in the old one until it's sold.
Take the kids to a restaurant while it's being shown.
Some seller's usually don't listen until they're backed into a corner like this lady.
Clear most of your personal items, but keep it as though someone lives there
I like the approach where you work with the buyer regarding picking any of the following: paint colors, flooring choices, new appliances, upgrades in cabinetry, windows, window treatments, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, etc.; and making structural changes, building built-ins, etc. The associated costs of any of the aforementioned choices the buyer makes are added onto an agreed-upon base price for the house. The buyer is happy because she/he gets a house that is move-in ready and has her/his design aesthetic. The seller is also happy using this approach, as she/he avoids the agonizing guesswork related to making any of the aforementioned choices and is successful in selling her/his house.
This is hard to watch, lady just doesnt get it...
EXACTLY! She doesn’t like the paint color...It’s not for her! Seemed a bit ungrateful & snooty.
Imo, she has a hoarder thing going on
Exactly n shes rude !!!!!! I have a realestate lady worse than this
sellers need to detach from the house once it's on the market....it's not longer 'their' house. It's an asset that is for sale and they need to entice someone to scoop it up!
The owner is so difficult!! No wonder the house didn't get sold!
The seller seems appreciative.
This is funny...she asks for help to sell this house and then tries to justify everything.
My husband and I bought and moved into a new home nearby our last..... it was winter here, and we spent a good 3 months cleaning, removing (way too much clutter, and updated it.... leaving some staging pieces... We/I had also done our homework.... the cost of two mortgages and elbow grease to clean/and paint/stage so paid off.... The same day/that night the listing posted..... haha, as there were people looking outside with flashlights at the home and property..... according to our friend and neighbor.... we ran a few risks, but had three bids the next day! I must say, our school district is a huge sell also.... you can’t sell your life history, decor, and your memories they are yours, and for the most part are your taste/decor.... the style and reminders don’t often sell to others.....
Omg Im addicted now.... I want to watch all these, They are so satisfying x
It amazes me when Sophie totally changes the look and feel that sometimes the owner is offended like wall color changes. That green looked like puke. Transformation amazing. Kudos
The basement has not been fully exploited at all! It's the biggest space and could be fabulous
Did a realtor not advise her to pack up most of her stuff and get it out of the house and repaint a neutral color. Clean the house, no one wants to see your mess. Why the push back when your intentions are to get the damn house sold?
The lack of a sale may be one of the reasons they covered the for sale sign. I can’t imagine it would be good for business to have people know your company wasn’t making the sale. Realtor should have insisted it be tidied before showing.
It seemed like she wanted the "lived in" look, which is just an excuse for not wanting to clean up
Where did all the stuff go? Does the homeowner have to pay to store it somewhere?
@@sadiehill6792 that's cheaper than two mortgages!
This Realtor would have had a chat with Patricia before I took the listing on! First would be decluttering, then we'd discuss moving just a bit more out of the house.
I agree absolutely that you need space and neutral colours to sell a house and yes, this house needed decluttering to sell but if she fills up her new house to the rafters, that’s up to her. The difference is how you view your house - selling it or living in it
So many people’s houses are a total tip. Shocking!
I will never understand why people insist on arguing with the person helping them? OR why it even matters what colour the walls are YOU ARE MOVING OUT, paint your new hows the vomit Avacado colour!
😄😄😄😄
So Patricia and her family her home when the real estate agent is doing a showing of the home!! Wt?!!!
When your real estate is doing a viewing of your home you are supposed to leave for a little while.
That's sp weird, real estate agent walks into the home with a buyer, SURPRISE, the seller is home with her children!
Plus you are supposed to paint your walls neutral colors, have your home clean, and declutter your home.
@@CaliMel184 you can’t move in before the closing. The pod is a good idea. 💡
Love the changes. But is me, or have we all become sheep and all follow the same home ideas, without buyers seeing a building as a shell, that they can make their own. So clinical.
ooh lot of friction and tension between two of them.
Wow, owner's taste...I've no words that would sound complimentary.
The owner is "difficult". Clueless about design and decorating. I can't believe she didn't clear out kids and herself for showings!
Right??? I'm seeing everyone talking about how much stuff she has, but I HATE going to a showing to find the owners there. I feel like I'm being watched
I actually liked this makeover (except the corner closet).
Pee green, vanished. Garish pink, abolished. Basement, re-imagined. Patricia doesn't love it. Buyers do. Now the home looks liveable and stylish. Mission accomplished. Patricia should be grateful, if she has that capability.
I wish they would bring program back out. I’ve binged on this and I love it.
I actually preferred the green color in the living room but I can see why they wanted to go all neutral.
That corner closet was a waste of time, I’d have swapped the old fashioned wooden thing they had for a white open plan Ikea closet that has fitted drawers beneath the open racks.
Its amazing how people can live like that with all that clutter
She is so ungrateful for the help! Wow, I thought she HAD to SELL her house!
Nope...I don’t think Patricia understands it’s not about HER anymore! She is quite annoying.
so disagree
She’s a narcissist
Love this show. I just found it. Its great.
I've never understood the resistance to de-cluttering. When they move, they are going to have to pack it all up anyway. Why make your move harder by putting off the throwing away/giving to charity stuff until you're just trying to survive packing the stuff you WILL be taking with you? Also, if you're hiring someone to help you, it seems there should be some sort of acknowledgment that what you've been doing hasn't worked, so why do you think you know better? Ego and selling don't go well together.
I would love to be a fly on the wall as people came through my home to see what they had to say.
Since you are planning on moving anyway why not start to pack up early to declutter?
Seller needs help....then is a downer about it.
An egomaniac too
Lots of comments about the homeowner's reluctance to change and how she/they live, but this is a show for our entertainment. If there wasn't a little "angst" the final results wouldn't be as dramatic! I don't think the corner bedroom closet is at all functional. I know this from experience. A triangle shelf is absolutely impossible to utilize well. The overall changes really helped sell the house, however! A neutral palette lets people imagine their belongings in the home, and the possibility of changing to suit their own tastes.
Maybe it’s just me, but for some reason the moderator is giving me strong Audrey Horne (from Twin Peaks) vibes.. Now I can’t unsee that anymore
Note to self, live your life as if your trying to sell your home, clutter free! 😆
It's not about her, the place was a mess before. I love the green but you are selling it. Get over it.
Change IS hard. Patricia & her family made it work for them. I wonder how much the 4 day makeover cost her. Wish them well in their new home.
GOD BLESS!
Its amazing how much stuff we dont actually need. When you buy something, get rid of something.
In this pandemic real estate market this house would sell in days.
My goodness... there are two Allsopps! Kirsty’s sister obviously!!!
I wondered that?
Just came across this channel accidentally and I’m obsessed!! Couldn’t have hit the subscribe button faster!
You have to remove yourself and your bond from a house if you ever want to sell it. All your favourite colours and things, your kids’ art and pets will all look fabulous in your new house...but first you have to get outta that old one.
I think my only objection is the master bedroom closet. There is no way two people will get their clothes in there.
Gosh, I know in 10 years people will be judging 2020's fashion, but I think objectively the naughts were a hideous era.
This show isn't from the 2020s; this episode is from the early years (it's not even being made anymore), about 20 years ago, that woman's already-outdated use of "color" isn't even from then, but more like something she brought with her from the mid-198s.
Very well done ! Great video and great job transforming and de-cluttering this house...small homes are tricky but they can be made to look larger, if you know what you are doing with the decor...excellent.
Wow, that closet Anthony built is amazing.
It’s so expensive for such a small home.😅
Certainly is! Here where I live, a house that costs that much would be at least 6,000 square feet on several acres of prime land.
Young friends of mine, a very large family, bought a 4,200 square foot house on 4 acres with the option for 28 more acres, and all for only $135,000. It's a very, very nice house, not some cheap stick-built piece of junk, too.
Seattle was like that, too, when I moved out - small, old house on a tiny lot with neighbors right there when you open a window, for $400,000.
This was filmed back in 2008-2009, so that price is actually way outdated now for Toronto. Forget about buying a house for $450-500k, that’ll get you an older 500 sq foot condo. In 2020, an unrenovated bungalow of that size would go for a minimum of $900k. Easily above a million if it’s a big lot.
Location, location, location
When I sold my home I took all my things out to make it look like their own
If you want to sell a home you do what is needed. And Sophie is right because folks Have little imagination looking outside the paint on the walls. But you must declutter and keep clean all the time which is difficult to do but has to be done while selling.
I would think a house that had been decluttered without additional decoration that a buyer could envision their things in, would be the best route to go as far as selling your home and getting the best price possible for it. She should have been trying to box up the majority of her things since she was planning to move anyway. Not to worry, the new buyer will put the life into the house. Wonderful transformation!
Take the side tables away from each side of the couch, restricts walk way, a larger coffee table take one of the end tables and put between chairs. Easy walk ways are huge especially for men
That corner closet is a joke. What the hell could you keep in there.
Only a ping pong ball would fit in that omg. As the owner said her previous wardrobe fits everything she needs, and it looked fine.

Realtor and crew were genius!
