So you think that mental illness is something to joke about? I don't care if it's RK, former President Obama or anybody else....Making fun of someone who HAS made an effort to raise awareness of this big, big problem that has been shoved under the carpet in society for so long is NOT cool, and if you you think it is, then shame on you, I sincerely hope neither YOU nor anyone near of dear to you ever has to deal with mental illness.
But for the media's over indulgent attitude towards RK; an "Ara-it's-RK-that's-who-is-he-is-boy, you-won't-change-him-boy..." way of thinking, he'd have been off the air and all of his lucrative pundit contracts ripped up very quickly.
Suppose somebody else, let's say Gemma O'Doherty or her side kick John Waters, had been the ones making similar type comments, belittling people who have helped raise awareness of mental illness. We both know they'd be off the air, no network would air their comments, and they'd be blackballed in the media for life. Yet when it's RK, seemingly, all is forgiven very quickly...a SICK situation indeed...

The entire interview or show or whatever you want to call it was horrendous especially your man with the glasses. You're allowed to like players from other clubs la...it's no crime. One of my favourite players was Sheringham back in the day, I could name others. I think Roy Keane is a brilliant man but I never liked him at Utd. Now, if he had played for Liverpool, and they wanted to sign him, I would have loved him back then. It's football.

Yes the truth hurts, and Kean doesn't hold back, why should he, he was a great professional.
To be fair it's obviously going to be awkward for them if he's slagging off lads they know and have interviewed before, lads they probably get on well with but aside from that I'd say they're delighted with hearing what Keane has to say, he's an interviwers dream, very entertaining, Neville was very good aswell I thought.

Keane is a pugnacious, intense, stubborn, steely, determined character. All traits that are well known and have been spoken throughout his career both positively and negatively. But tell you what, ive seen the entire interview and his stuff on itv...on top of all that, he's a very very witty guy

Roy Keane went to Sky Sports Football just for a brief stint last season and injected a dose of realism the platform needed. Before it was like disney. Now the realism is the platform their running with now with their punditry, and it's great to watch. You have Jose (Keanes replacement), Souness (finally being accepted) and some others.

There's a lot of people who just headline grab, according to talk sport, he was slagging everyone off, but had they chosen to listen to it all, he does actually give credit to Ferguson, as well as explaining what happened to him.
Obviously there's two sides to a story and it's not often they match, but he seemed quite genuine in what he said.
