Class D is not strictly digital. It uses pulse width modulation of a high frequency square wave. Basically you "print" the audio you want to amplify onto a square wave by varying the width of the wave (the duty cycle) with the actual voltage of the audio waveform, Could draw you a diagram which makes clear, but these are YT comments!
the point being is that the square wave means that you get very high efficiency, i.e. very little waste energy in the amp section. Switch mode (which is really what it is) can be well over 90% efficient,as opposed to, say class A valves which at absolute best are 50%. Class D is rather more complex that Class A/AB etc. but it can be made to sound really good, and guitarists...it's NOT digital (exactly).
Two of these in stereo is gonna sound “louder” and better than a single big amp

Ok, so the eco switch just turns the amp off after a while of no use, and the standby switch is basically just the On/off switch

One 4 ohm 1x12 higher watt speaker would do. Something between 50 and 100 watts.
Ive got the clean version, and made my own cabinet with a 1x12 4ohm 50w jensen speaker. Works great for gigging, rehearsal and homepractice as well. Had a marshall vs100 with a 4x12, but who the f*** wants to carry that around?!? It was great, but when you have tp bring everythimg everytime you rehearse, size becomes an issue

Too much talking about it and then just strumming loud chords- would have been nicer to actually hear you two play some real music through it to hear how it sounds.
