Fun to follow the bouncing ball through this famous and inspiring solo. It’s not easy writing this out and I love how that peak section from 72 through 78 is just glossed over, almost symbolizes the transcendent nature of the solo itself
Excellent transcription. What an iconic Brecker solo.
Thanks Emile!
Excellent job transcribing this.
good work. thank you!!
Yes, Thank You...Emile! Works out fine for me! :)
Killer solo and a great transcription
Wow chaotically awesome massive noise!
We miss you Mike
Not a bad attempt, but there are quite a few wrong notes throughout. Beats 2 and 3 of measure 43 should be C G E A. In measure 45 the and of 3 should be a C#. Measure 54 beats 3 and 4 should be G Gb F D. Measure 55 beat 2 should be G F. Measure 59 the 3rd eighth-note should be an F natural. Measure 60 the F should be an Eb and the last eighth-note an F. Measure 64 the third eighth-note should be an E instead of an F. The B-flat in measure 72 is wrong. The downbeat of measure 76 should be a B (natural) not a C. The G in measure 86 should be an A.The last three eighth-notes of measure 94 start a beat too early (should be on the and of 4 not the and of 3) and the last beat of measure 95 (C A) shouldn't be there at all. Beat 2 of m.97 should be an E, not an F.
What about the Ebb in bar 179?
Nice work Emile! I think you've missed out a quarter note rest in measure 95, and inserted two extra 8th notes at the end of bar 96 - i.e. take the C & A out from beat four of bar 96,move everything a beat to the right and all will be well!
does anyone know the actual false fingering options for 0:40? I've tried many but can't seem to find the actual one... For what I hear he uses palm D, then add fingers 2 and 3 on the left and 1 2 3 on the right and then plays the other notes, like D (ff)D C, D (ff)D B, etc. Is that right?
How do I order the transcription. If I order in Bb, can I get the Eb and C versions free?
Do you have the PDF for this? This is exactly what I was looking for (I'm a guitar player looking for new ideas)
+Thomas MacDonnell Hi Thomas! I sell them for $10 each! Not so sure about the chord analysis.
Too bad the whole transcription is one tone above what you actually here
Would not pay for that
Hi Simplemonde,
