I literally just got my x3 2 weeks ago. Upgrade is out of the question for me
X3 is still awesome!
for me the killer feature are the removable lens guard. I have crashed already twice my lenses. the next time I crash the lenses, I will get the x4
The upgrades are nice but I don't use my X3 enough right now to justify the upgrade. The X3 is still a great camera and the quality is good enough for me. I can wait another 2 years for the X5.
Problem is that weight keeps increasing and is now almost twice what it was for the first iteration (so is the price). 204g at the end of a selfie stick feels like a lot for action purpose when skiing and stuff like that.

I have to agree with you with your past videos, once I make a bit of money I will definitely go for the x4, i was baffled on so many options of actions cameras and didn't know how to make the decision, I watched lots of videos and you made it clear that action cameras like the gopro or the ace pro don't necessarily compare with this type of camera in terms that this is a more fun option because of the 360ness and drone like shots, which is stuff your unable to do on other action cameras😮
can you suggest me which one with should i go with ace pro or X4 please i really need to know. i kinda wanna travel and have some action but i like 360 degree mode too

I like your reviw sir. I love insta 360 camera. But im sad thqt my x3 mulfunctin after using it in shalow wqte4. How sad.
I say with good lighting conditions, X3 produces very good image quality almost identical to X4.
Not just that, who really watch a video checking minimal lower quality in something already really good, if you are not watching a movie or something really cinematic, this differences are nothing.

I own the X3 and it’s an awesome camera. But the incremental upgrades in the X4 were worthwhile to me so I upgraded and I’m glad I did.

Nice video. But are the images a little soft compared to a conventional action camera?
yes, because you have to understand the marketed 8K, is divided by the 360 resolution.
For me, the X4 does give better overall quality in the new 8k mode, but at least on CZcams the resolution difference can be hard to see. Colour rendering and dynamic range are the more noticeable differences in real world shots. Upgrading from the X3 is a tough decision! I may wait until I drop mine... Anyway thanks for a thought provoking video.

Idk about that tho. I just loved the X3 so couldn’t say no really. These 360 cams have really added that extra i was looking for when traveling!
Ionly differenceis the settings for the different shooting styles. But the creative shots etc will be the same 👌😊

All these paid review youtubers hyping it up without any reason, only difference is 8k thats it and nobody want to use 8k. It will take 1tb card easily to shoot one day

26 - The cost of a repair lens is $99 since it WILL SCRATCH if you touch it on ANYTHING 27 - $99 was the cost of the repair for the X2 - so its probably much more expensive now! 28 - The turnaround time to get the lens repair is over 8+ weeks if they get back to you in a timely fashion (which they won't) 29 - The lens guards severely degrade the footage and effect the stitch - hence why no finluencer actually shows using them - so again back to no 26 - you will SCRATCH THE LENSES! I can keep going if you like - I have spent over $700 on ONE of these cameras and had to go through the repair process 3 TIMES - I finally GAVE UP ON USING THEM! Stop LYING to people and calling these things action cameras - they are just as fragile and there fore - not as versatile as they claim - as any other camera - even more so with these lenses!
So much anger. Never have i had issues. Think u should watch my durability test coming up
Depends what you want it for, I have go pro and x3, Yes go pro will beat the x3 on film quality as the 4k is still 4k in editing compared to to the Lower quality reframed edit, but the 360 captures everything with need to worry about what to point it at, so better for action sports, yes Go Pro has there own older 360 cam to, use what they are intended for and be carful with the lens.

Amazing how you've sent the X4 in for repair 3 times in 1 month.
X4 is good improvement over the X3 but the Insta360 One RS one inch edition is the overall winner for both day and night time video recording.

Encoding the 8k video will be a pain in the ass..to 1080p for sharing. Who's going to share 8k videos for friends & family to view?
why would you encode it to 1080p? Render nice crisp 8k video, upload it to a video hosting platform, share the link, boom easy. Why go out of your way to ruin it?
Why aren’t my images being saved to my iPhone album as 360 images after I chose export as 360? It’s just flat images doesn’t save with that 360 symbol and FB doesn’t support 360 images no more ?
