At 01:07 on the X3 footage one can clearly see a ghosting of the Rob's cap. Is it an X3 only feature or X4 also has it? What would be the reason for this ghosting? Is it because it's 360 camera?

How do you get your Anker to charge the batteries on your DJI? I have Action 4 and when I plug in the USB-C to USB-C the DJI battery case charges my anker instead of other way around...

I bought :dji action 4... With microphone 3 batteries and power bank, as my main camera..I also use the dji 3 mini drone...a laptop for editing and your good to go

Hi, excellent video! I am planning a family trip in a week to Europe. I am deciding if I bring my three cameras or not all of them. The objective is to record my family trip. i have an X4, Action 4 and Canon R7 with two lenses: 10-18 and 18-150mm. Would you bring them all? Are they all needed? And…. Would you bring the DJI mic2?… no plans for youtube just family memories, videos. Finally what do you know about selfie sticks policies/rules in Europe?

How is the battery backup after months have passed?? Has it deteriorated a lot ?? Or just a little bit?

In normal daylight conditions the OA4 seems to be generations begins the GoPro 11/12. Just look road or snow textures, it’s all been smoothed out / lost. Serious compression algorithm issues. Grass and clouds suffer similar issues looking mushy, almost like someone’s painted them on. I have to admit I got pulled in listening to all the DJI influencers out there. Sold my x3 with intension of getting x4, wasn’t a bit enough improvement in cropped video for me in the end. Got my OA4 and spotted the issue within minutes, returned it for a GP11 and much happier with the quality. Yes the GoPros will over heat like all action cameras. It just a case of using the correct settings. 4k @ 120fps on a hot day is obviously not a good idea! Do prefer the Action 3/4 for the 155degree FOV though, and certainly less wide angle distortion.

I think they will also add option on Action 5, where you can connect two DJI mic2 to 1 camera. That is game changer for motovlogers and not only. I'm using that set on my helmet and can't wait for action 5 announcement.

It's not firmware update but dji fly app update. We have here drone firmwate, controller firmware and baterry firmware

Hi @RobHK thanks for great comparison it's really helpful. I am planning to buy one confused between DJI action 2 and Action3 . And confusion is primarily because of heating issue with DJI action 2 which I have heard and read about over past few months. My usage is mostly filming small clips of a daily routine both outdoors & indoors and occasionally a product review video indoor. So what do you suggest going for action 2 or 3. And does heating issue really a major concern with action 2 considering the price?

every time the video showing side by side (left/right), i see that the action 4 is sharper than gopro 12. is it just me or youtube rendering or my monitor or my eyes?? (i watch this video in 4k btw)

Thanks for this info. I tried searching for firmware updates for rc2 and mini4pro just now (UK) and it said all was up to date (with older 1.13.0 version according to your video). Maybe they are rolling it out gradually to see if bugs or issues are reported by the first ones to get it?

I use DJI action 4. Unfortunately, the camera does not expose correctly either in manual or auto mode. In auto mode the ev should compensate by + 1 minimum but instead of being at +1 it reaches -2 and I am underexposed, in manual mode I am correctly exposed but the backroand is overexposed. I understand that the sensor is not too big, but it should expose correctly, as does my phone, which has a much smaller sensor than this camera.

all good points, but i guess it all depends on the user and what you need the camera for. personally the last gopro i had was the hero 3+ and now got the 12. For me as well many features are gonna be unused but the horizon lock, the 8:7 ratio and the ruggedness of the camera is what made me choose it. I intend to use it on my mirrorless cameras for POV shooting on shoots that i do as a photographer for that BTS. I also use a DJI pocket 3 for BTS but with tracking so i can have it stationary to film me from further away (and because of the actual mechanical stabilisation). For my work i think this will be a great action/BTS/POV camera and i do appreciate every input i read or hear.

I mean, if it falls once its over. No need to test it 1+ time. Scratch will be made. That is why i prefer the cheapest there is, because they will protect the camera from falling once.

If you have a large enough memory card installed in your RC2, there should be an option in the settings to save / cache your drone settings before a firmware update, once updated the settings are loaded back into the controller. A lot of people spend plenty of time trying to sort out all 3 mode settings and then have it wiped isn’t good.

I bought action 2 battery module one(new) for 15990 rupees which is $192❤ I really like this action camera.

Never really noticed any slowdown on mine. Although, I never started in the drone. I had it set to open to the menu instead of camera view on boot. It seems like the slowdown was caused from a combination of booting up and trying to connect to the drone and revieve a signal. I think it was quicker to just open to the menu and then tap "go fly" then just booting into the camera.

I'm glad they finally got all the bugs fixed for the DJI RC 2 controller. Great information, and thanks for sharing.

Hi Rob, did the update but now the controller is stuck on the dji white screen, tried to connect onto the assistant but only showing the 4 pro drone, any ideas to unlock the controller and, or reset etc ??

This is a good update if own the older goggles and controllers, and you want to buy just the Avata 2, and not the bundle. Great video, thanks for sharing.

number 1 m4p is needed is offline/web ability to build flight paths in a googles map based app and upload to your controller. Doing waypoints on the controller is functional, but sucks.
