Good story telling about the war in Laos especially my home state Houa Phanh. During the secret war in Laos in 1960-1975 Houa Phanh and Xieng Khouag were the heavy battle fighting.

This is excellent. Thank you for interviewing our elders who had significance or played a significant role in the history of our Hmong people. I hope you will interview as many more elders as you can while we still have with us.

It would be nice if you put English subtitles for some of your viewers who can't understand Hmong.

Yes, but not sure where you can get them. You might want to check online and at libraries near you to see if they carry any.

Cov xab muab nyiaj thiaj tau no tsis tas coj lau yawg, yus twb yog 1 tug neeg paub tab ua cas thiaj lam coj cov xab cuav no mas

Tej zaum koj tsis tshua paub tab paub cai koj thiaj hais li. This interview is a documentary of oral history significant to a chapter of the hmong experience by a significant individual. These medals demonstrate that piece of history that this elder contributed. Yog tias nws cov medals no yog cov dag xwb mas nws tsis coj los tau. Yog tias nws lam tau lam cov mus ua mus no mas koj hais yog nawb. But this man earned his medals and this is an educational documentary so it was appropriate for him to wear his medals. In fact we all need to learn more about these medals.

They belonged to him so he can wear anytime he wishes to. There isn’t any inappropriate time he can or cannot wear them. I have some medals from the county for my service times too and I wear them whenever I wish as well. There isn’t any good or bad time for a person to wear their medals 🏅 🎖️🥇.
