- After the fall of Long Cheng, many Hmong lives were shattered, including Mrs. General Vang Pao, Niam Me. In this episode, Niam Me took us through the challenges she faced, the sacrifices she made, and the opportunities she found in the new country.
She's a classic beauty with a very kind heart. I still have things that she gave to me when she lived in TX and in WI. Just like giving you veggies, she gave me what she had and things that she made.
Thank you for remembering her. Even at her age, she is still very generous. She will share what she has.

agreed, but in that Era a Man's love is hidden deep down and the way they express their love is slightly different. It's not like in today's world where most average typical civilian men express their love to their woman. Being a World leader wife ain't easy. Just like Being a President of America's wife ain't easy. It's not for your everyday typical average woman. I'm sure GVP feels really bad and it eats him alive everyday that he wasn't able to love all his wives the way he wanted to nor able to express all his miseries and struggles to anyone,but kept it to himself. I'm sure He had to put on his big boy pants, wipe his tears and be responsible as much as he can as Niam Me stated by taking providing for all the wives and kids , taking care of Niam me's parents funeral expenses to give them a proper burial and support her brother to and during living here in the states. I'm sure He wish he was able to split himself in many ways to show how much he loved and value each of his wives personally without hurting another one's feelings. He would of already. Based on the way Niam Me explained her asking for a divorce and GVP didn't not respond nor refuse to. It probably hurts him more than anything deeply inside.

She definitely outlasted everyone. If I’m not mistaken, only she and the Laos wife left. In every family, we all have our own stories and the reasons why we divorce each other. There’s one correction I like to make here. The daughters in law did not run off with whom she said or anyone else. I’m just gonna leave it at that. I don’t like to air people’s dirty laundry for the whole world to see/hear. It’s no one’s business. Also, Niam loj was not a dumb person at all. Thank you

It's been 49 years so it's possible that she is one year off. She did say they stayed in Thailand for one year, so it's likely that she came to the US in 1976.
