16:51 - Yeah, we've found that the first Tool song that tends to resonate the most with rappers is The Pot because of the approachable scheme and the sick doubles and triples in the word play. Vocal coaches tend to resonate the most with Sober (especially the live video performance) because they can see Maynard embodying the character and delivering so much power from such a strange set of positions.
BP, I'd love to see you react to Tool's songs "Wings For Marie" and "10,000 Days (Wings part 2)." They should be done together (Like Ren's Jenny and Screech). Maynard wrote these songs about the death of his mother after a long battle, and I think they would really resonate with you. If you do them, please find lyric videos or have the lyrics pulled up. Maynard's mother was paralyzed for many years. Their album art is done by the artist Alex Grey, who is definitely a wizard of translating psychedelic experiences into visual art. Tool concepts are a blend of psychology and spirituality. So glad you're starting your TOOL journey. My favorite band. If possible I would recommend on the first listen of a song just listen and enjoy the music, TOOL has so much going on musically and lyrically that trying to do both during the first listen is difficult, and after the first listen delve into the lyrics. Also if possible use headphones there's so much depth.
Going to finally see them live the first time this summer. One of the very few artist I kept listening to since childhood. I like that you are confronting yourself with a great variety of genres! This was a great reaction.
This has to be my favorite band of ALL TIME! I would call them Alternative Rock. But they have so many GREAT albums! I love every song on their albums. Their lead singer Maynard James Keenan is an artist of genius proportions. He is so amazing with lyrics and the way he sings. In fact, look up a song called "Pneuma" where it only shows the drummer(Danny Carey) playing because he is known as "The Octopus" because he's such an amazing drummer! I love Tool! Please, if you haven't already, i was hoping you could do a reaction on "Pneuma" ? Thank you for all you do! Peace! 🩷🌷
That feeling you felt is the point. Man I went through a court battle back in 2010 that included the rights to my daughter and or 50yrs in prison. This was my fight song right here. This and Jambi. Both on this album. First month without her all I could do was grieve and cry. Day after day was one long day of nothing but gut wrenching crying. This song pissed me off and lit the fire within me to stand and do what needed to be done. And so I did....

This song is a mind bending way of educating us thru a masterpiece of art. Psychological Bars await 🔥🔥🔥
this is the evolution of RUSH, the next evolution of TOOL will be nuts. Hope it happens in my lifetime
Danny (the drummer) uses polyrhythmic and fucked up time signatures that are so complex and unique. He is the best.
I'm so excited for you to take the Tool journey, hope you stick with, spiral out!
Good God I love watching peoples faces when they listen to TOOL. The faces they make when this band puts that stank on it, I love it soooo much...lol.
Sober. Live version 1993 is mind blowing.
You want to see Tool? They’re in Denver on Monday, February 5th. I got two extra tickets for sale if you want them.
Lol I was sitting there listening how Pegasus has a new appreciation for rock music, and listing off bands. Meanwhile I'm looking at the thumbnail for Audioslave's "Show me how to live" like
"OH if you like them check that one out! " lol
Their art is indeed DMT inspired artwork. I've done it one time. Fantastic experience, I recommend it to everyone.
Most of the art that people associate with Tool is Alex Gray's art.
Adam though did special effects for the movie industry. Jurassic Park and some other things iirc.
The Art in alot of their music videos is his. Claymation type stuff very cool in its own way.
@@6ic6ic6ic Alex has talked a lot about how DMT and LSD inpired hit artwork and spoke about it in DMT the spirit molecule book. His artwork is spot on for that experience its pretty wildly accurate
Bout to step into a wild rabbit hole with this band...
Spiral out with this band welcome to the Tool 🎉 rock on !
The humbling river by his band puscifer is incredible and has such a well.. humbling song
I'm really excited for you to go on this journey. The fact that you and all your friends seem to work in production of music in one way or another I think that you will all truly appreciate the production level of the mastering of this music.
Hell yah Tool!. Seeing them in Denver soon..saw them last leg in Colorado Springs. Great band!
Denver show let's GO!
The bass line swallows you whole
I just saw them on January 30th here in Corpus Christi. If you ever have the slightest chance to see them you must! A lifetime experience!
I was there they didn’t play a lot of songs I wanted to hear like vicarious , sober , schism or the pot
If you had gone to a tool concert - at any time from their inception in ‘92 to now, you could get very close to having an experiencing similar to an acid trip just by opening your mind to their music and participating in the live experience of TOOL.
First saw them in 1997 in Omaha… Amazing live show! Deep lyrics and epic musical performances.
DEM POLYRHYTHMS!
Thanks for reacting to more Tool . You should react to more with Andy roo
💫💫💫spiral out! Tool is one of the best bands ever! Seen them 6 times live and loved every time! ❤️
Aenmia from Tool should be next
One of my favorites!
Amazing song to start with. Danny's drumming really stands out. He is probably the best rock drummer ever.
Great reaction. Love me some tool.
Im a big hip hop head but watching a reactor go down the Tool rabbit hole is one of my favorite things. One of my all time favorite bands
You're making it REALLY hard for me not to make requests...ijs😉🤣🤣. Glad you liked this Classic, Tool HAS ARRIVED!!
I am so glad you are listening to TOOL!!!!!!! Found and like your channel through my love of FIR and Ren!!!! Now you are on some TOOL! Just keep bobbing your head and it will all come together!!!
The drummer and bass player are playing polyrhythmic patterns.
Tool is well known for changing their time signatures. So if you're finding it difficult to tap your toes to it, it's because the time signatures are constantly changing to throw you off and change the mood and tempo. Tool is one of my favorite bands live.
The album cover is done by a painter, Alex Grey, whose artwork is psychedelic or higher consciousness inspired.
Tool is one of my favorite bands. Awesome musicians, great lyrics and just a vibe surrounding everything they do. Nice to see you reactting to them.
Yes! Saw em on the 12th and they killed!
One of my fav Tool songs. He breaks down the hypocrisy of politicians and courts using pot to blame for all social problems when we should be looking at them and ourselves.
Greatest live band I have ever seen.
