Slacklining at the Totempole in Tasmania. It´s a 65m high and only 4 m thick spire that connects the totempole with the mainland. Length of the slackline is 17m, climber is Jens from Saxony.
wow...he's amazing...I just got hooked to Slack-lining...I am in love; not sure if I want or could go that high; but for sure it was amazing to watch... Thanks for sharing. High5 from Brazil.
Awesome Balance y concentration! Good session! I also do a little slackline. It is a very complete and challenging sport! Music, video, all Thanks for sharing!
Song ID is Izhevski - Epistola Di Frasco If you watch the entire video it tells you where the video was uploaded from and on there it shows the music ID.
outstanding. Obviously, Jens, you are a ninja of high ranking, but, the cinematography and editing are outstanding. @ 2 min. 4 sec. got my attention and @ 2 12, when the cloud covered the sun....epic.
If you look closely the main line looks like it is attached to at least two bolts on the land side, and he has a second backup line taped underneth, so definitely not a one point anchor! Also you can get ratchets which are rated for loads, so perfectly safe, especially when used with a backup line! This is def a good example of people out there having adventures... :)
Could anyone explain to me, how they even set up the line ? I mean in general I'd be curious about how to set up a slackline over a huge gorge, but this case is extra special because the pole is so thin and there is definitly no way to get there except climbing it up to fix the rope. Bus is that the answer - seems kinda fucked to me. Thanks for reply.
@devo45666 actually it does make it easier... doing something without the safety leash does serious mess with one's nerves and therefore also with your body
I think he means there is tension on only one bolt. Which is a bit sketchy. It may be attached to two bolts but it looks like tension is only being held by one. Ratchets can be strong but i've seen them fail again and again, now of course I'm not familiar with all ratchets. Are there ratchets that lock with the same reliability of a shackle or carabiner? And yes you are right, Adventuring is what it is all about! ..... and safety(in moderation).
look at you/you look amaazing
I concur. Also... Thin pillar with a huge arm...not safe I would offset the tension from the pillar back into the nearby rock. Depending on the situation at the base of the pillar a leash fall could have potentially brought the whole thing down.
@RufolfRakete Hey.. i think i found the song but with a different version.. check it out! type "Izhevski Epistola Di Frasco''.. that's what i found do u think it's the same song?
you need to check out videos with Dean Potter that guy does this kind of shit without the leash around his waist, and he does that 3000ft above _ground_

Son installation est dégueulasse !!!! Elle est courte la ligne mais il a pas intérêt à faire un leash fall ! si le point est un peu vieux il l'arrache !!
I am so happy to see that you were sane enough to wear a safety harness. A harness doesn't make it any easier, it just keeps you alive.
The music is listed as "Deepmix: Cotton Studio - Epistola Di Frasco" on the info page found via the link at the end of the video.
wow...he's amazing...I just got hooked to Slack-lining...I am in love; not sure if I want or could go that high; but for sure it was amazing to watch... Thanks for sharing.

F gorgeous place! Awesome feat! Amazing that you didn't post the song info! (Who does that anyway? I mean... it's always the first question.)

RIP Daniel
This guy must be very strong. That is a very skillful feat. How does he not trip on his own safety line? Good video. I like the scenery and music.
Could anyone explain to me, how they even set up the line ?

just amazing thing, I love this
posto fantastico...ma dove siete?
Amazing! good job!!
i am glad someone else is noticing all the flaws in their rig
They used anchor bolts, you use a tool very similar to a gun called a ramset powder actuated gun which shoots the bolt into the rock/concrete.
What kind of 35mm adapter were you using?
Well done!
the problem even starts with getting the rope onto the other side first..
how did they get the slackline on the other side....
Still would love to know who this song is by.
look at you/you look amaazing
