Immortals Fenyx Rising is full of charm, humour, intelligent design and great action. Most importantly, it remains focused on surprising the player with new things to see and do, and when it runs out of those surprises, it ends. Just as it should.

Oh come on now, Ubisoft makes great games, they're just hit or misses most times. It's kind of a gamble, if you're going to get a great Ubisoft game, or a mediocre one; which I really hate sometimes. I will say though, most of their newer IPs they make are usually of good quality and worth the money; it's their long running franchises that kind of grown stale and not worth buying(sometimes).

I found your channel a few months ago and I've really been enjoying your videos. Your excellent writing and thoughtful analysis combined with the long-form you've chosen for your reviews has been extremely helpful in getting a good understanding of games I've been on the fence about.
I also appreciate that you decided against using a numbered rating system in your reviews. When l look at something like Metacritic and see that "Outer Wilds" is rated the same as "Wreckfest" it makes me question what that number even means. I played Outer Wilds for the first time this year, and the magic I felt can't be described by a number, it is absolutely my game of the year. The way you present the games to the audience leaves room for us to decide what we value about games.
I hope you enjoy doing this because I intend to continue watching for a long time.

Even the ones who have twisted concepts like Last of Us 2, the ones who just keep releasing the same concept every sequel (Gears of War, GTA), others who tries to reinvent themselves by copying other stuff (God of War, Tomb Raider), etc In the end, they always provide solid experiences. Maybe not a 10 out of 10, but they are decent enough. Now, regarding Ubisoft (and EA, Activision and so on), when they make a decent game, that's a legit surprise (AAA or not)

Good thing if other companies don't exhaust the formula, like Ubisoft did with the basic concepts of GTA, later they exhausted their own Assassins Creed formula. It got to a point that even "modern" sandboxes like Red Dead 2 and Tsushima, they arrive outdated in a way because their basic mechanics were used by other to the point of exhaustion.

Non important Individual has to pay 99,99 EUR to play like an influencer and remember influencer also gets paid from making the video. Legit scam.
Game is made for auto-aimers with 30 PREMIUM FPS doing macro-transactions for cut content giving out their personal data and that data is being exploited by publishers to inflate their scam and keep people in the loop. Welcome to the brave naive world. Developers of said naive world can't face the facts so they suppress, censor people. Outsource their dirty work to influencers which get high when they receive free merch.
      Free merch > free speech.
Is your mind blown how people fall for same thing every time? It shouldn't be. Because divided, singled out individuals has no chance against organized criminal entity; corporation.
Corporation is an approved scam & spy business. Their approval was obtained through manufactured consent. Corporation is not the industry of manufacturing products. Corporation is in the industry of manufacturing consent.
As well Corporations [through governments] are harvesting our biometric data on global scale. So they can get to know us far better than we know ourselves,

My own playthrough of this game has 100+ hours clocked because, Ubisoft-map-marker-open-world-fatigue-syndrome aside (to paraphrase Shelby frome the always-excellent Girlfriend Reviews), I genuinely enjoyed this game thoroughly and never would have tried it had it not been for this review. I mean, the unfortunate title alone was an instant red flag. So, once again, thanks Ralph. I may have three years worth of a backlog of games because of you, but I would have missed out on something special had you not reviewed this gem. Also, I have to stop watching this older stuff of yours on my free time because you consistently make me want to revisit games I've already completed simply because your description of them reignites feelings of utter joy in me that I can't always get from games I'm currently playing.
