I was watching some random video about Martinelli the other night and he talked about how much David Luiz helped him adjust to life in England and the Premier League. David Luiz only spent a short amount of time there, and he wasn't that great on the pitch, but I gained so much respect for him as a leader in the locker room.
@@lakersouthpaw Yes he was, sick of this bullshit reputation he gets, he was great on the pitch for us more often than not, but he made a few mistakes here and there and it's all people focussed on. I loved him at Arsenal, and he was brilliant in the finals of the FA Cup.

I hope now people realize that Luiz’s recruitment and renewing his contract was for reasons beyond just his abilities on the pitch. His presence was much needed in the dressing room and I would argue that the FA cup win and Arteta’s “induction” was down to both Luiz and Auba’s brilliance in that period
