In this clip, Rafer Alston talked about his experience playing with the Orlando Magic and going to the NBA Finals in 2009. Rafer also recounted the infamous slapping incident with Eddie House during their series against the Boston Celtics. - Zábava
Vlad didn't care about Rafer's playing experience with Yao Ming, T-mac, Dwight Howard. He only cared about why Rafer slapped Eddie House in one playoff game. Nice journalism Vlad.
He asked twice tryna get him to say some bullshit 😂😂😭
why are you guys surprised? dj vlad is emblematic of media bs today. its not a coincidence that media in america is owned/controlled by people like dj vlad. literally.
thats all he cares about, the controversy amongst black people. The guy is such a low life

Not many people know that Eddie house in 2k12 was lowkey one of the best 3 pointers.
I think you mean 2k10 & 2k11. Him and Ray Ray were nice hella threes

Rafer taking full accountability for his actions.... grown man business
Grown man business? I've seen women take full accountability, children do it..... Heck even teenagers with downsyndrome take full responsibility. But very proud of him
@@user-wb7nv9ht1g i think that was kind of @T. Sims point bro. Alot of grown men immediately resort to violence or some other form of childish retaliation instead of taking responsibility for their actions hence is why dude applauded Rafer for standing on grown man business. 🤷🏽♂️🤫🤫🤫
Facts. Shows maturity and growth.
@@user-wb7nv9ht1g GTFOH with that BS!....Women hardly take any accountability for 💩. What Skip did was some grown man sh!t.
@@user-wb7nv9ht1g Exactly, dude is giving credit for something he’s suppose to do (Chris Rock voice)
Nothing better than a man who can reflect on the past and accept any bullshit he may have done..
Benching him for Nelson was the dumbest decision ever.
Lack of coaching experience. You don't ever do that in a series.
THE DUMBEST thing
Yep they tried to force Nelson back too early & to his credit pre-injury he was balling‼️ But after that shoulder he was never the same... Alston had found his groove & they pulled him
Big Facts!! Idk if they would’ve beat LA but they would’ve gone 7 games with Rafer.
I been lookin for this comment everywhere…..Stan Van Might’ve Had His first chance to actually finally win and He Fucked it all up……by fixing was not broken 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Rafer sort of favors “Shotti” from Treyway to me
Exactly
What Shotti could have become if he wasn't on the streets.
Yeah and no lol
A lil bit lol
Yeah he really does. I just realized that lol
Orlando might have won more than 1 game in the Finals if Skip would’ve played instead of them bringing Nelson back in.
I'm still passed van gundy forced jameer back into the lineup after skip had been balling. He screwed the chemistry up.
Horrible decision
YES!!!!!!!
@@mhazley71 Rafer was playing like the best PG in the world. Derek Fisher couldn't fck with him at all. Especially not with the rhythm and momentum he had gained in those first three series

That Courtney Lee missed lay up still haunts me to this day lol
That layup is alot tougher then it looks, his angle was off and how fast he was moving.
It was goal tended by Pau Gasoline and they never called it

Crazy how House said in the post game interview how he was busting Alston’s ass 😂😂😂😂 that headband went on a swivel
Much respect to Rafer. Skip to my Lou. I remember watching him, hot sauce, half man half amazing , AO , etc. When I saw him play for NBA, I was happy for him. They made it seem like street players couldn’t play in the league. That was wak.
Hot Sauce a bitch. He owes me a ticket and $100 til this day....
Yeah & I really like AND1
@@jaymes8718 Lol what happened fam?
@@nerdbamarich2063 he came to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2005 before a show they were doing that night. He was giving out tickets to anyone who could guard him. Many tried and many failed. I wasn't even going to go out there but my lil brother just pushed me. So, I knocked the ball away from him the first time but I didn't chase it down before it went in the crowd so he said it didn't count and he could have gotten the ball back if people weren't in the way. I called bullshit. I was about to walk away but he said if I could do it again, he would give me $100 and the ticket. So, he starts his dribbling but this time he's doing the thing were he hits you with the ball while he's dribbling. I told him if he hits me with the ball again, we gone fucking fight. That kinda caught him off guard and when he reacted I stole the ball. He then accused me of cheating or some shit like that. I started acting an ass about my money (fuck the ticket). My lil brother and partners stepped up and his security stepped up. And we ended up getting separated by the campus police before blows exchanged. They left and I never got my money.
@@jaymes8718 Lol aww damn that's crazy but it sounds about right. I met him before as well and he was a bit cocky. I miss the days of and1 and the early 2000s..
Rafers run with Orlando was the most successfull they reached the finals and if you remember Rafer was backup to Jameer Nelson who got injured in the finals. Rafer actually filled in better as starting PG and helped Orlando win thier first ever finals game.
“A shot at your street ball background”
Vlad clearly don’t know what the “bush league” comment means lol…
Exactly lol
I doubt Vlad knows anything about sports. We already know he doesn’t know music. I think the only thing he knows about is drama. He’s like a woman.
Yeah, bush league has nothing to do with street ball. It's a term that's been used way before street ball ever existed. If I am not mistaking, it is originally a baseball term from way back in the days.
or know about street ball/and1 either there's not a lot of fighting about the same as a nba game
“that’s the guy that slapped your dad” is crazyyy 🤣🤣
Notice how Vlad keeps going back to the slap after the man says it was stupid and he likes and respects Eddie House….My goodness!! Lol
Vlad likes to start drama. He doesn't let go of drama, he continues to milk the situation until its gets boring and he has no choice but to change the topic.
The way this guy can immediately recall teammates on certain teams and incidents so quick is impressive.
These nba players don't get enough credit. Their iq is off the charts
Eddie House’s headband was spinning around his head. 😆😆😆
Eddie headband was crooked after the slap🤣🤣🥴
Word ona street when Eddie put on his headband it’s on a slant
On the slick this has been a great interview
Eddie House has his jersey retired at my high school. When Skip slapped him, I’m ngl, I thought the shit was hilarious. 🤣💯

I'm still mad Jameer gave up that 3 to Derrick Fisher in Game 4 that cost us the game
@@Tresdad09 jameer coming back in the lineup fucked up that rhythm...orlando might have won or at least made it a closer series...just my thoughts

Vlad gotta have Eddie House on next lol. I’m loving this Rafer interview for sure. Dude seems like a stand up guy.
No dissing I just disagree with Vlad when he said Eddie was taking shot at his Streetball background. That term is just used with hoopers when something cheap or something we don’t FW that goes down
We all know that vlad was just being vlad lol
Vlad never played a sport in his life. Just think of it that way lol.
@@LIBryda Yup. Just a reference to the getting mad for no reason aspect of the exchange they had. If Eddie would have said something disrespectful to him to deserve that reaction, he wouldn't have called it a Bush League move after but because Rafer was just mad because he was draining shots over him all night, the Bush League comment made complete sense. The comment has nothing to do with And1 Streetball days because Rafer wasn't known as a goon on the court who slapped people back then so the attempted correlation by Vlad is just idiotic lol
Eddie House at home like "I was minding my own damn business..🤔"
Stan was the master of panic. He panicked and benched Skip for Nelson when Skip was killing it in 09 playoffs. This is why Stan has no championship ring, he kept making bad decisions in tense situations.
Facts. Pat Riley noticed that in 2006 and took over for a reason
Matt Barnes has spoken on that often.
Aw man, I was watchin' that series and I remember this vividly. I was so frustrated and I thought I was going crazy being the only one who noticed that decision among my friends being the one that may have tanked the Magic's chances at the time.
Whats he's not saying is that when Stan took him out of the lineup for Jameer Nelson in the finals, that was was the beginning of the end for Orlando
Yeah everybody was already saying it when it happened. Lack of experience. You don't ever do that in the finals. He was clearly more of a fit to play against that Lakers team than Nelson.
Lol Orlando wasn’t beating LA regardless Kobe was not gonna be denied that year bruh
Most underrated Point Guard of all time. Rafer is one of a kind. Can't duplicate his mythological abilities. If Stan Van Gundy would have brought Jameer off the bench, they would have had a chance to win that series. Skip was playing like the best PG in the world and Coach didn't take advantage of the momentum they worked so hard to build up with Jameer injured on the sidelines for a month and a half
Jameer was a solid ball handler and distributor, but couldn't quite get it done in the clutch. Rafer at times overdid the showmanship and tended to cause needless turnovers.
Vlad still killing them with the interviews, this another classic!
"Eddie could be 0-10. But when he makes one 3, he'd be...(flashes his shirt)." Lol
Ol' boy wanted to pass the blicky in the black bag to Eddie House's son like Birdie did in Above the Rim.
😂😂😂
Handle yo business!! - Bidie
🤣🤣🤣
Finally, this part.
Its a very small part of the game
Basketball has to be entertaining
Rafer love your skills and moves
I think you were a blessing for the NBA
❤❤❤
The Eddie House slap was cool and all, but that Rockets/Suns all star shoving match was hilarious lol
Skip’s story of accidentally slapping Eddie reminds me of a time in high school, playing 3v3 lunch time basketball. In one instance, me and my opponent (a senior student who was quite bigger than me at the time) jumped for the rebound at the same time. He was known to have a very strong grip and managed to get the rebound over me. Anyway, because of his strong grip, I wound my arm back to try to spike the ball out of his hand as hard as I could after we both landed, and just as I was swinging my hand forward for the spike he decided to curl his head over the ball to protect it, and I ended up spiking his head instead 😖
Needless to say, I immediately exited the court and stayed away from it for the next week or so 😅
Story too long stopped reading
@@TheKaybizzle24 didn't think there were people with sub-goldfish levels of attention span.
He "accidentally" slapped Eddie House like Will Smith "accidentally" slapped Chris Rock...😏😏😏
Rafer slapped him upside the head like back in elementary when someone got a clean cut, and you see the class cut up sneaking slowly up behind them.
Lololol
This the one I was waiting on lol

As a Magic fan, believe me when I say that finals lost still bugs the hell out of the city of Orlando. Rafer should’ve stayed as starter
Nelson was trash 🗑 he blew it
Yeah totally agree. Dont know what Stan Van Gundy was thinking starting jameer Nelson after he sat a whole season injured. Rafer was on fire that year
Kobe wasn't having none of dat!!
@djvlad You need to interview Eddie House. He's candid and makes great interviews.
Eddie was cooking his @## 😂
I was watching, and it's still the funniest thing I seen in a game!
Eddie's headband had more rotation than the shot he made on Skip!
😂🤣
Eddie was on fire that game but that slap was funny lol
As a queens native and a life long hoops fan, id be a whole lie saying that this wasnt the part i was waiting for most
The year he talking about with the magic 2010 was a beast
when this guy was playing for Toronto. He took a lot of I'll advise shots and passes during a game.. Charles Barkley said @ halftime, " if I was Sam Mitchell the coach@ the time..I'll take him in the locker room and beat the hell outta him" funniest shit ever😂😂😂😂😂
That Orlando and Houston teams were really good
It’s also unheard of for a team to make the NBA finals without their best 2-way player (arguably the best player on the team).
Use me as a “was waiting for this part of the interview!” button
NGL…. This what I was waiting for 😂
That was a crazy plot twist😂. Ladies and gentlemen be careful of your mistakes.

This man has a 99 handles rating in NBA 2004 I believe
Bush League has means Absolutely NOTHING towards his Streetball Background… Surprised that Skip didn’t Educate Him on the Meaning… He just kinda Rolled With It. Skips definitely a Laid Back, Good Dude!!! Vlad gets a Pass though, Basketball is Not Really his Thing. 💯👑🙏🏽

I Remember that play. He was real hurt that House was raining threes lol
He was the only one out of all that And 1 crew that made it to the big stage. Didn’t know he played 10yrs! His skills were good enough for street and professional. Skip to My Lou always legend

I was watching that game, when he slapped E. HOUSE. EPIC NBA moment!!!
It’s not that Eddie said something to skip it’s that he intentionally bumped him after he made the shot and was head in back up court

Huge Rockets fan here, I loved Rafer Alston. I wish he was still part of the Rockets organization.
Skip doesn’t owe anybody anything after that And 1 mixtape Volume 1. He changed the game, the streets as far as street ball. He will always be a legend. Street ball and Pro.
