Rudy one of those guys who is a perfect example of a guy with a really solid career. Solid.. consistent... even all star level at times. Career 16/6/2 over 17 seasons. Best averages were 21/7/4... awesome player

Thank you i became a Spurs fan the day they drafted Tim Duncan to this very day. Rudy basically said Kawhi screwed them and i been saying that. He had a bruise but Tony parker tore his quad and played more than Kawhi. Parker and Manu never talked about a teammate. But those 2 and Duncan got tired of his shit
He stated that it was Parker who kept on talking shit about him not playing, so he forced his way out. I've heard a few players say he was an asshole, so I'm not surprised.

Duncan era was coming close to an end so they prepared and had a guy in place to take over seamlessly and he weirded out got traded to Canada in what has to be the craziest trade ever because it was supposed to be a big F U and actually ended up swinging a title 🤣

Nobody lied about his injuries situation. One of the reasons Melo said what he did was because the Spurs said he had a degenerative condition with his thigh and it has turned out to be true.
The guy refused to keep the team up to date of his recovery after they turned over the rehab to his people.

So what I got from this is Kawhi Leonard was basically being unprofessional because he didn’t get what he wanted while he was under contract. We CRUCIFY Harden, KD, Carmelo and Kyrie for wanting to be traded while being professional. The fact that Kawhi Leonard wanted to be traded while being under contract on a winning team too says a lot about him as a basketball player. And we really got dudes saying “he stood on it”. I think hindsight shows that Kawhi was right about being cautious with his injury, you’re right in the sense that Kawhi doesn’t get the same heat as other players who have “forced” their way out of teams. And IMO it’s lightweight karma with what’s going on with the Clippers because he and his Uncle forced the organization’s hand to trade away their future to get him and PG and they ain’t won nothing yet

Parker was out more than 2 weeks and his quad tendon ripped of the bone.
They didn’t shame Kawhi, he didn’t like their diagnosis of his chronic issue (that he still has issues with) and the staff let him take over rehab and he didn’t keep the team in the loop. Which is what caused the locker room tension and confusion
Kawhi didn't have anything to deal with because he had ALL the leverage = we'd like to thank Greg Popovich for shipping Kawhi to us, for our FIRST "championship" = the second they even mentioned it, we knew he was coming + WE KNEW, we were going to win THAT season because TOR just needed "1" missing piece, to get us over the "hump" & Kawhi was that piece + SAS also helped us get rid of that "bum" Demar Derozan, who was only interested in LOSING every season, while doing nothing to change that reality #ThankYou

Ehhh I don't think he wanted a changed of scenery until his own teammates and coaches publicly call him out. Wasn't no reason to leave the spurs. His last year there before he caught the injury bug the spurs won 67 games, kawhi defensive player of the year, top 5 in mvp voting, made the WCF. Unfortunately for kawhi he just can't stay healthy. But kawhi ended up getting the last laugh and popovich know that. Cause the very next year when was able to play, kawhi led the raptors to a championship. And thats why popovich told spurs fans to stop booing kawhi earlier in the season.
He got called out by his teammates after he postponed his return date over and over, well after Spurs staff cleared him. This wasn't just a random call out. And the call out from Manu was him simply saying that they can't keep falling for the return dates, they have to think he's not coming back and they have to fight w/o him. Dude hadn't even been around the team facilities in months at that point.
