"I'mma fight to kill, John Wick style" As a guy who actually fought John Wick, he has every right to say that 🤣
😅
💯
Hell yeah 💯
😂😂😂 💯
Bro was giving Wick hell the whole movie too 😭🤣🤣
It's amazing how most people don't know that Common gave Drake that work as well. They try to sweep that under the rug too.
You clearly don’t know hip hop, cuz Drake literally obliterated him.
Nobody who has a ghostwriter can obliterate someone. We don't even know if Drake wrote that.
@InnovativeWorship plus it was nowhere near what Common did too. After Common's track, all of a sudden, it was all friendly between the two of them.
People also fail to mention the short lived Joe budden beef in which Aubrey took an L to.
This wasn't a war. King Kendrick merely quashed a peasant revolt.
people like you always give me head aches... That is common sense telling you it was a great heavy weight battle... but you still have to be the biassed ninja... not one bad song came out of that beef. not one...
@@grichkatayou7558 hope you find a painkiller for the headache
Also, if I were to compare, and give my own opinion, which people are entitled to when it comes to music, then I would say one side had great songs and the other side had OK songs.
Your opinion is different and I'll respect that, even if you can't respect mine. Peace!

KRS 1, Common, Nas, and now Kendrick taught us all a hip hop lesson: NEVER go against a backpacker/conscious rapper
looool
LL Cool J destroyed Kool Moe Dee and Canibus
Backpacker and conscious rapper is not the same thing
So true!
Stop glazin
The crazy part is Kendrick said “are you sure you want to go this route” then drake doubled down and Kendrick killed him
I went back and listened to Euphoria after this whole thing was over and there were a lot of little warnings from Kendrick throughout it about getting personal, he even says literally “we ain’t even gotta get personal, just a friendly fade” halfway through it, Drake still did it and Kendrick basically said “so you have chosen Death”
Reminds of an old Jay Z song where he kept saying: Dig a hole, dig a hole, bury yourself. Drake did just that 😂
He said freely expedition!..and when he said you want to go there was about talking about family!..Drake came with disrespect first
Keddrick was full of bs, he was always gonna release those tracks. Dude been plotting for years. He's had the advantage of watching drake in many beefs. So he knew how he'd come already. As far as the back to back, he did that from drake and meek beef. @@lindsaymonroe567
What was Drake supposed to say? All of Kendrick's disses were aimed at him. He gave Cole maybe 1 or 2 lines and was like back to this mf I really don't like.

@Drakeunreleased894 Commons a better rapper and actor and hes from the streets. Hes who Drake cosplays.
There’s rules in a rap battle……Kendrick vs Drake was a rap WAR.. there’s no rules in a rap WAR
That’s literally what they said.
1 rule, no ghost writing... which him and Nicki have capitalized off of. Kdot used their strategy and exposed them. Drake and Nicki NEED the features. And Kendrick has 3 song in the top 5 right now. Kendrick made a song, cause, Drake makes songs.
@@closetfreakishbro WHAT?? Drake features are Wht gets other artists poppin. He has like 10 #1s without a feature
@@chrisbogan402 and he jacked everybody's cadence along the way
@@chrisbogan402He only got 5 solo. And Rihanna gave him his first TWO number ones (What's My Name, Work). Drake couldn't get a number one without Rihanna or pre-streaming counting towards billboard either. That's why he will never be above MJ in the grand scheme of things bc MJ number one hits were ALL hits not songs that debut at number and fall down the top in 2 weeks like NonStop or Slime Out
Common - The Bxtch In YOO is an all time diss record. The only rapper to hand Ice Cube an L in any form.
I agree and I'm a big time Ice Cube fan and also from the West Coast
krs we in there kilt cube too in response to cube saying some rappers are heaven sent
Ice Cube Killa by Cypress Hill was brutal too
It wasn't a war, it was a massacre
It's catching a p@do.
WHY is the conversation about "too far" and not the mentioning of someone's significant other if you don't want the skeletons in your closet to be revealed or allegations made up on you in a battle especially when your opponent asked multiple times to keep it between ya'll. THAT is when all gloves are off. Like Kendrick said... Drake mentioned his family because the metaphors couldn't reach him.
Yes! Isn't it weird how when Meet the Grahams dropped suddenly the beef was too personal like Drake hadn't been dropping baseless accusations about Kendricks family even after Kendrick warned him not to go there and keep it in rap. I think people have become too tolerant of Drakes bullshit antics. Knocking him down a peg was deserved. If anything it was overdue.
Kendrick battled ghostwriters... and won.
I do love what Kendrick did. If it wasn’t for him as an old head, I probably wouldn’t even be into any modern day hip-hop. But hearing Common talk about that old-school beef with Cube just really makes me miss the 90s.
Now most of the big rappers of the 90s are all huge celebrities and and actors and producers and writers. The man back, when Cube , Common, Snoop, Dre, Wu Tang, Bone thugs , 2pac, Biggie, Nas, DMX, Warren G, Scarface, Dogg Pound, Busta , Redman…… just back in that era I feel like that was just something special. it was just mainstream as far as an audience goes, but it hadn’t really gone mainstream on a corporate level yet, so it was the best of both worlds.

“The B In You” is a top 5 diss track of all-time IMO. Comm destroyed Cube and put the game on notice that he ain’t the one.
I was thinking that Kendrick was Sun Tzu during this entire back-and-forth. 😂
Sounds to me like common is saying Drake wasn't ready for this battle and that he should be working on his craft, but he ain't going to say that directly looks like he's trying to play more in the middle but he knows as an MC who got smoked
100%
Common went at Drake already in a beef back in 2011-2012 and won. So, he's not looking to beef with Drake again. The same thing with Pusha T when it comes to Drake.
I agree Common is saying Drake wasn’t prepared, but to me it sounded like he was also giving Drake his flowers despite their history.
also no mention of "battling ghosts or AI" - keeping it peaceful. 🙂😀 as he should. Kendrick won. 😀
@@TripleSeven777Life You clearly don’t know hip hop, cuz Drake literally obliterated him.
Mero: "i see yall Freestyling in the comments"😂
SHOUT OUT TO COMMON A SMOOTH BRRUTHA AND A GREAT MC
the thing about ideas is they just have to be believable enough to stick. in a diss battle, the idea has to just be believable enough to cause damage. everyone is already mildly aware of Drake's weirdness with younger girls, even if Millie is the only example you know because she's so famous. so there's that idea. and then factor the people he shouts out in his songs and keeps around. that makes the idea stronger. even if the secret daughter was just a framing device (and another way to subliminally remind the listeners of Millie due to the Eleven connection), it is believable enough because Drake is literally confirmed the kinda guy to hide a kid because he is embarrassed of the baby momma. Kendrick pulled out all the weapons needed for a diss battle: pen game, timing, psychological warfare and his deep cultural cache.
there are areas where Kendrick can be attacked, he is not perfect, but Drake is the exact wrong person to do it, even if he had the wherewithal to know those attack points (which he just barely did with the one line about giving Kendrick a Grammy as soon as he opens his mouth)
As a huge hip hop fan born and raised in LA I have to admit Common bodied Cube. The Bitch in You hit super hard and has a great beat and sound. I’d like to be biased for the West Coast but Common shut him up. And it was unnecessary too. Cube just got butt hurt over I Used To Love H.E.R. lyrics. And that song has aged so well. Common is a great MC. 🎤
Cube aint gaf about rap he was defending west hard at that time rightfully so knowing everyone else was hating on it so his anger was understandable just completely off. Prime Cube wouldve ate common.

One thing I feel people failed to realize with Kendrick in this is that he managed to treat this entire diss battle as if he was creating an album in real time between him and Drake. Think about it….
Let’s assume his “first” song was Euphoria, that song has 3 different beats, so pretend the first beat is the intro to the album, starts out calm but it plays an important part in framing and setting up the direction of the album, then when the second beat begins, that’s when the intro leads directly into Track 2, which gets more serious while also keeping its playful tone to a point, then the last beat switch was Track 2 transitioning into Track 3. Then you have 6:16 in LA as Track 4 which is also the Interlude, then after listening to Drake’s Family Matters and taking that into consideration, with its 3 beat switches as Tracks 5, Track 6 and Track 7, then you go to Meet the Grahams, aka Track 8, which connects directly back to 6:16 in LA that was also a few tracks ago, as evidenced with the picture from 6:16 in LA of the items stolen from the suitcase pulled back, and the album takes a VERY dark and serious tone, only to finally go back to the album’s high point, Track 9, which is Not Like Us, that is the penultimate track on the album that switches the tone of the album back with a bouncy, lighter sound and on a high note different from the deep and dark tone of Meet the Grahams, and the album ends with The Heart Part 6, aka Track 10, which shows Drake throwing in the towel to his opponent who you realize has been controlling this entire thing all along, and that’s Kendrick. The end even has Drake talking instead of rapping as if it’s the outro to an album.
I do feel that there were more tracks planned from Kendrick and he was ready for any situation, so that was basically more of this “album” that would have been released, but for now this is how I like to look at what we got, and IMO it works great this way too
youre really over analyzing shit bro. really not that deep

Common is being disingenuous
He wrote a song called I used to love HER about how he loved a girl, hip hop, who moved to LA hooked up with the Boys N the Hood and got turned out and ruined. The song was about LA destroying Hip Hop, of course the West Coast responded just like the East Coast did when the Dogg Pound made the song New York New York.

There is not a diss in there. And he spoke of all the phases in hip hop up to that moment in the song.
I like Common, always have, great MC(I used to love her was a dope creative song with a fire beat) but he needs to stop with the bs. He made a song as if hip-hop was a female that he loved as a kid. Then as hip hop got older with her transformation and with the different stages hip hop was going through especially when going out West, she changed (shes now not pro black and Aphrocentric) and "now she was with the boyz in the hood". But NY got props and cool point for fking her in the park..😂😂 (again difference between East vs West) So first shot was fired, us in Cali (we are the west coast) immediately knew Common was out of pocket. Especially since Historically, the black panther started in California in Oakland California, then LA was next. So again, to us Common kicked it off and need to be dealt with. So the Slaughterhouse song came out and that beat was a nod to the hip hop heads that said we can't rap. Historically, in hiphop beef, we never the aggressors or start it but we damm sure handle it. 😂😅😂
