Last time I was in Cyprus was 1990 flying out of Akrotiri, through Larnica, to the US Embassy in Beirut and back. Was there for 45 days. Cyprus was awesome.

Heathrow Terminal 5 is always an experience- I swear they’re always cancelling flights with BA because of some issue or other! And the going out and coming in again is typical of London, especially LHR! Glad you were able to make it x

This all sounds too familiar. I literally went through the same thing on my way to Spectrum. We stayed in Cyprus got stuck and delayed 3 times lol then once we finally left for HK we got stuck in Qatar for 72 hours!!! What an adventure! Glad u made it! So funny we had similar travel journeys to different ships. What a time to be alive 😂

Would you please explain crew assist and sky express. To someone that doesn't travel much, really would like to know what these are and how they assisted you? Did the cruise line take care of $$$ and change of flights??? I am amazed your luggage showed up!!!

Nearly the exact thing happened to me! We were going on a cruise out of Athens coming from SF. Our flight at SFO got delayed which would cause us to miss our Newark to Athens flight so we got a flight for Newark to Paris and Paris to Athens. We also had to check our carry ons at SFO. We get to Paris and we missed our flight. That airport is insane and I had never been anywhere other than Mexico so I was freaking out! They put us in a hotel for the night (we got in at 7:30am) and put us on a flight the next day (causing us to miss one of two nights in Athens and some stuff we had scheduled). We went to see what happened to our bags but no one could tell us. After hours on the phone we are told they will be in Athens when we get there. We get there…no bags. They said they would send them to our hotel that they would definitely be there. They never arrived. We had to buy all new clothes because we were getting on the boat the next day! When we got on the boat my roommates bags were there and my small carry on, but not my regular luggage! I didn’t get my regular luggage back for FIVE WEEKS! And come to find out later it had been in Athens THE WHOLE TIME. It was a very very expensive trip and a huge headache for months trying to get reimbursed for things we missed, luggage, all the things.

I always try to get a direct flight for cruises out of country. cDG in Paris takes 4 hours for luggage to get put thru security…found that out hard way. They put thru and recheck everything unknown to passengers. Was going on cruise out of Stockholm. Luggage didn’t arrive until evening. Luckily we were staying in hotel overnight before starting cruise..
@@designdoctor247 it was still an amazing trip! Luckily I had learned on previous flights to pack essentials in my carry on. When we had to check our carry ons I grabbed the important things and a few changes of clothes. My roommate didn’t do that and ended up having to wash things in the bathtub and find somewhere to buy contacts because all her stuff was in her bag!
